This is a chain restaurant and I've been to many of their locations, but this one is so great. The staff doesn't have a high turnover, so you always see the same smiling faces there to help you. The food is quick and fresh. The portions are large and costs are reasonable. I highly highly highly recommend ordering the banana bread. It is the best! (Shh... Don't tell Grandma!) Their lunch specials are cheap and still are large portions. The kids menu is plentiful. Tea is freshly brewed and always being poured. read more

Ok. This rating has less to do with Bob Evan, and is more about Door Dash And their bad service. Some may, or may not, like Bob Evans,but I'm partial to their pot roast. After ordering, it was supposed to arrive at 8:20pm. At 8:30p the dasher arrived with food, but due to disability, I can't get it myself, so my dad took the bags didn't see what restaurant it was from, and all I told him is arrival time. So, he brings the food up, and the order is from Applebees, not Bob Evans... so I call the store, tell them what happened and they refunded the meal. Thank you. When off, the dasher calls and says he just relized he gave the wrong order, and was coming back to get it. I had the food in my possession, for 20 min. He came back, exchanged the food, and went to deliver the order I had to the next home. The problem is they must have caught the problem immediately, and let the dasher know. Instead of putting the food in the bag correctly, it was "tossed" in, and my soup was spilling in the bag making a hole. I didn't complain, because the food was refunded. However, they had my food for a few moments, and I had theirs longer. Anything could have been done to the food within the 20min the dasher left it with me, and. Ice versa. If I picked up the order, the restaurant would have took the loss and given me a fresh meal...in thiscase you are handing off food to people, and then taking it back to the. Orrect address... makes me wonder what I am really eating, when I get my food delivered. read more

To start off with the good - our waiter, Marcus, was incredible. He was BUSY BUSY BUSY, but still had such a positive attitude and kept us happy. That's always appreciated, especially in this day in age. Now, the bad. The food was subpar. My dad & I both got the everything bowl. This was our first time at a Bob Evans. It was all right, it reminded me of a Shari's in Spokane. The atmospher was a little bit Southern homegrown serving water in cute little mason jars. However to rate the food I would have to give it a strong 3 *. I ordered the build your own omelette with a base price at $8.79. I failed to recognize that each additional ingredient cost more so my omelette ended up being $9.99. I added spinach, cheese, mushrooms and jalapenos. The omelette was well seasoned, however, the eggs were over cooked so they were chewy and tough. The breakfast also came with a side of potatoes and an option of toast or a biscuit. I asked for sourdough bread and instead I received toasted white bread. Definitely not the same thing. My husband ordered an entree that had a little bit of everything. It came with hash browns, a griddle biscuit, potatoes, eggs, veggies, sausage and Hollandaise sauce on top. He said it was very tasty however it didn't fill him completely up for $9.79. The problem we kept having with this visit was that we kept running out of water. Our waitress seemed a little overwhelmed with as many tables as she had, so every time she came over to the table she kept filling up our water with more ice and less water so we kept running out quicker. My family and I stopped by to have lunch, took a while to be seated even though my wife and I were carrying our kids. When we were seated, we asked for a high chair, only for the waitress to tell us we couldn't sit at any booth with a high chair at the end. We had just been to this location two weeks before, and we sat at a booth with a high chair. The waitress left and another waitress returned to replace her, she said we couldn't sit there either. No establishment has ever told us this, ever once. They said it was a safety issue, although the isle was at least twelve feet wide with minimal customers. We got up and left, went to a better place, and will never eat at Bob Evans in Camden again! Would've gave them zero stars but that's not an option. read more

Food was good but it's really a turn off when your waitress is complaining about how tables were sat and then confronts the hostess about it all while within hearing and sight of seated customers. That isn't the place or time. I felt sorry for the poor hostess. She is just a young teenager and she asked three people before she seated us to make sure that she was doing it right. read more

First time customer... Horrible service. There were a lot of people working and not a lot of customers and service was still garbage. We sat around for about 10 minutes waiting for someone, anyone, to greet us and ask for our drink orders. Finally, Lynne came by and all she says is "have you decided?". Um, excuse me... no hello, how are you, i'll be your server. Just "have you decided". We said not yet but we'd like some drinks. The three stars are for the great food, except for our last visit a few days ago. We normally eat here for lunch whenever we go to Camden or Dover, so this isn't a shot in the dark. I ordered a one-half BLT and a bowl of soup. Soup was delicious and as I usually do, I took my sandwich apart so I don't eat many carbs. Our server even brought a little pot of mayonnaise for me because the cooks won't put any on a sandwich unless requested...I had forgot to ask for it. After I ate my bacon and finished the tomatoes, I wasn't crazy about the outside lettuce leaves that used to be used for decoration purposes only. Looking closely at the leaves to see if any were edible, I noticed that one whole edge and the lacy part wasn't any good. When our server came back around, I showed her the nasty part and she said she was going to take it and show it to the manager. She came back and said the manager was going to talk to the cooks. The manager NEVER came over and apologized, NEVER came over to see if I wanted fresh lettuce and NEVER took anything off of my tab. I'm more upset because the manager did not show his/her face then anything. Was the manager hiding in the back? Is this now a normal procedure to serve spoiled food? How are we to know when no one showed up? I could have been real snarky and demanded restitution. Could have been real snarky and yelled from the table that this was not acceptable. Could have gone after the manager and insisted I have REAL FRESH lettuce, but I didn't. Will I go back to Bob Evans? Absolutely, but I will check my food very carefully and will demand the manager be made aware of the situation by me and not take for granted the manager was notified by the server. read more

As far as Bob Evans' go, this one is quality. I visit this location almost every time I'm home in Delaware to see family. We always go to breakfast on Sundays. The place is packed but the hostesses are quick and efficient. The waitresses are fast and accurate and SO friendly - my mom comes here so often they have a favorite waitress who always gets their specific requests perfect (and have their orders memorized!) Glad to see this place is still running as well as it was on opening day. read more

Very disappointed! My wife and I had to go to an urgent care this past Tuesday night. It was 8:30 pm by the time we were out and heading home, too late to cook dinner. We pulled into this location for a bite too eat. I know it stinks for the crew when Someone shows up 30 minutes before close but it's still business hours. When we walked in, we're told by a man behind the counter that they were closed. Instead of arguing with the guy that I just read the store hours as open till 9:00 and worrying about what would happen to our food, we left and enjoyed a meal else where. First time for me at this location and bob Evans in general. They were short staffed, missing waitresses, a cook, and the dishwasher. We waited at the front without being seated or greeted for 10 minutes. The restaurant was dirty with a lot of tables not being bussed and cleared. Our waitress Elizabeth did a great job despite their clear shortcomings for the night. The food was delicious, although my order was messed up, she made up for it without issue. The fish and chips came out quite a bit greasy with it being on the plate. The managers had to cook due to the short staff for the night. Then as my mom and I got our food is when the waitress says they're out of chicken breast which is what my dad got. Why would they wait until everyone else got their food to tell us that? I got a side of Mac and cheese for my son and it was cold. My mom said her green beans were cold. Carrots weren't warm either. And the gravy was just not flavorful and was nasty. I last ate a Bob Evans about 20 years ago and it was great. Now fast forward to this past Friday. We stopped for a late breakfast. My wife and I had basically the same thing --3 eggs, home fries, sausage patties and toast--Horrible! I'll give them credit for cooking the eggs over medium perfectly, but that's it. The sausage patties were mediocre and greasy, the toast was terrible and probably from a $1.00 loaf from Winn Dixie, and the "home fries" were small potato cubes fried in a peculiar tasting oil.
