Similar comments have already been made repeatedly in other reviews. But here's what might be a new take. Cobbleston Cafe's average rating should be at least 4.7 and above and I'll tell you why I think it's not. It's because people are ridiculous. Honestly. I read the other reviews and their expectations of a CAFE are incredibly nonsensical. You can't enter a cafe and expect a full kitchen. Cafes like Starbucks, Peet's Coffee and even Panera are much larger places and don't have full kitchens. We all know Starbucks is overpriced and often sell stale menu items. This place is incredibly affordable, has a LOT more to choose from, and is 1000% better because it's so much more fresh! It's a cozy and smaller place. There's a reason locals love this cafe because it's satisfying, fresh and is priced very fairly. Have the right expectations and you'll also be giving it 5 stars! The only complaint I have about the meal is that although size-wise the steak covered half the plate, it was only 3/8 to 1/2 in thick and chewey. That is not their usual fare. I was expecting the steak to be somewhat smaller in area but thicker and more tender. Although tasty, I probably will not order that entree again.
