Board Bites - Falafel and tahini - Lebanese Near Me - Plano, Texas

Maybe the best chicken shawarma I have had since living in Bahrain. God I miss the food in the Middle East. So I am always on the look out to scratch that food itch. This place definitely does that. Got a Chicken shawarma which was ready in around 5 min. My only complaint is the meat was not as spicy or flavorful as shawarmas I have had. This store is Lebanese so their style might be different. That said it was delicious! Wrapped up in possibly home made wrap as it did not taste like a commercial tortilla. Like I said the meat might be a little bland to me but it was well seasoned and pretty tender. The delicious sour of yogurt offset the meat and the veg was crisp and freash. I wish they asked If you want spicy and added hot sauce or something. I love my shawarmas spicy like in Bahrain. Many other tasty looking side items to try next visit because as Arnold woud say.. "I'll be back" read more

Board Bites - Falafel Wrap & fresh falafel!! - Lebanese Near Me - Plano, Texas

Great food, would absolutely recommend this place. Their wraps are all delicious and I love their gyro. Definitely give this spot a try.

This was an awesome, authentic, and halal Arabi restaurant. The food was amazing and all flavorful from their amazing cooks. We were recommended our dishes from an extremely friendly, hands on owner. The workers had a friendly and approachable attitude. The atmosphere that lingered from the workers was very pleasant. This was easily a 5 star restaurant and i'd recommend it to anyone who likes food. read more

Delicious food. Made fresh. I had the gyro side portion, falafel bites, and hummus. Delicious. Dipping the fresh falafel into the well oiled hummus. To die for read more

I have had my eye on Board Bites for a while now and I am so glad I was finally able to try it. I was very interested in trying Lebanese food and the idea of trying street style food seemed like a good place to start. First the resturant itself was very clean and welcoming. I also appreciated the menu style. Since I have never had Lebanese food it was very important to have an easy menu where you can understand the ordering process. You must order the gyro! The meat in the gyro was very different from what I was used to with Mediterranean food. The meat itself had so much flavor. We also had the steak and it was good but the gyro was the star of the show. The fries were near perfect. They were cooked to perfection and had great seasoning. The hummus tasted fresh but was lacking a little in flavor. The pita bread served with it was underwhelming. Service itself was great. We were greeted when we entered. Food came out fast and the chef who may have been the owner and or manager came by to ask us how our food tastes. I look forward to coming back! read more

Sharwerma sandwich substandard and over priced. Customer service was good easy to order and food came out fast it just did not taste good.

I went with the family after a good friend recommended the place. We love Mediterranean and go regularly to another restaurant but everyone agreed that the food was much much better here. read more

First timers and will be back again with friends! Food was fresh and had the perfect amount of spice without being overpowering - in fact we talked about it being fresh and light. We the got the Chicken Shwarma plates, hummus and Tabbouleh - can recommend all. Great lunch or dinner spot. The staff and chef were incredibly friendly and helpful. And bonus for clean bathrooms and kitchen. Come try this place, you'll be happy. read more

Check out Board Bites in Plano on Spring Creek and Ave K I ordered the fattoush salad with chicken. And I have to say that this is the best for fattoush salad that I have had since I left Dearborn. Salad was fresh and the chicken flavorful. Chicken Board consisted of a chicken shawarma wrap and shoestring fries served on a wooden board. Which is a nice touch. Once again delicious and flavorful with the pita toasted just the right amount. Decor is nice and hip and the stuff really friendly. Great place for kids to hang out! read more

10/10 the best food I have had in a long time. Everything tasted so fresh. The food was soooo yummy and seasoned so well. Every bite was better than the last. And the owner, Hassan, nicest guy I've met! Took care of us, gave us complimentary falafel; which was some of the best I've had. I cannot recommend this place enough! read more

I had been wanting to try this place, but was pretty underwhelmed with the quality of the food. Upon opening my order, which was the chicken rice plate, there was a very stinky chicken smell. It almost smell like they just boiled chicken and added seasoning. The rice and white sauce were okay. This place didn't live up to the high reviews. Service was good, so nothing against the workers. The food was just very mediocre! read more

I just tried their Beef Kafta wrap for the first time. It is on point! Beef had good flavor, tangy hummus and crunch from wrap, onion, pickle compliments each other and balanced well over. I am coming back to try everything on the menu. read more

The chicken shawarma was one of the best I've had in a long time. The lentil soup and the hummus were great too. The gyro tastes amazing but tends to fall apart so maybe they could wrap it better. read more

This is a great place to eat in Plano! My husband and I were looking to try something new in the area, and I'm glad we found Board Bites. The girl who was working the register was a rock star employee. She greeted us and was quick to ask if we had been in, then clearly guided us through the menu, how it worked, and was ready for any questions. She created a great experience right of the bat! I order a veggie board, and my husband got a chicken sandwich al a carte. The board comes with French fries and a cabbage salad. First, their French fries are AWESOME! So perfectly seasoned and they were so crispy and delicious. We made sure to eat all of them! The cabbage salad was also delicious! It was like a much improved version of coleslaw, but also completely different. I highly recommend trying it! The sandwiches were good, but they were a little dry. Too many dry ingredients in them, with not enough moisture to match. They need more sauce or something to balance out the lettuce, veggies and chicken. The flavor was good, but sauce was very much needed. I highly recommend giving them a try, but maybe ask for some sauce on the side. read more

Board Bites - Falafel sandwich on a board and a chicken sandwich a la carte. French fries were INCREDIBLE! Cabbage salad is very tasty! - Lebanese Near Me - Plano, Texas

Best falafel bites. So moist on inside and crunchy on outside without looking like it's overdone. The gyro was excellent too. The garlic sauce was delicious and I used it to dip w the falafel. Crispy fries without being greasy. Great food great people working. Will be back soon. read more

Fast casual restaurant with Lebanese food. Had the kibbeh, falafel, and baba ghanoush. Everything was clearly made fresh. The falafel wrap was in a tortilla and pressed like a panini. The interior kibbeh meat was looser and a bit more fat than I'm used to. And mild. There's sriracha for those who need it. The star was the baba ganoush and pita. Lots of lemon, some olive oil, a few eggplant chunks and a fresh pita. I will have to order this every time I return. The staff was very nice. They bring out the food and make it clear that they want everyone to be happy. Fortunately, with food like this, that's easy to accomplish. read more

Excellent Lebanese food and the place is so clean. Owner was kind enough to put the ordered items in a tray for us so we could take it to an event. The baba ghanoush was delicious as was the kibeh and falafel. Will definitely place more orders for upcoming holiday parties! read more

Delicious!! I had the falafel wrap. I can't wait to go back and try the vegan egg rolls and the fried tofu bites.

This was an awesome place to eat! I noticed it had been there for a while, but had never tried it, so I decided to stop in! All employees I came in contact with were wearing masks and gloves, and the gal that helped me out was very sweet. She gave me a to-go menu to look through to keep me coming back, and that was very sweet of her. I ordered a Beef Shawarma Wrap, and the flavor was great! It was super beefy and the meat was incredibly juicy and tender. The onions added a nice, aromatic flavor and everything went incredibly well together. The Tahini sauce added a nice flavor as well! I'd love to come back and try more of what they have to offer here! The hummus looks delicious and I've never had a real Gyro before. Those would be at the top of my list to try next! read more

Board Bites - Love at first bite INDEED! - Lebanese Near Me - Plano, Texas

Went to Board Bites with a friend for a Ramadan Iftar. I ordered hummus, fries, and chicken shawarma. The restaurant has changed the fries cut from the "fast food" fries to something slightly thicker and much better. Hummus was great and so was the chicken shawarma. The staff provided us with dates, a bottle of water, and lentil soup as courtesy. It was a very pleasant experience. read more

This is a newly opened local restaurant, featuring Lebanese street food, according to the signs. The restaurant is set up as a typical fast casual place, with an ordering counter, a pick-up spot and then seating. The staff was very friendly and welcomed me when I came in. Based on the name, I wasn't sure what type of food to expect (in retrospect I find the name confusing, considering what they offer), but it's basically rice bowls and sandwich wraps (think Halal Guys or Big guys and rice). Unfortunately they don't have lamb, but they have beef, chicken, beef kofta and falafel. I chose the chicken rice bowl, which comes in just under $13. It came out pretty fast in a recyclable, rectangular container with a small area for salad and then a slightly larger one for the rice. Overall, for the price, it was a bit smaller than I would expect, however, it was enough to satisfy my hunger. The food itself was delicious, the yellow rice was flavorful and complimented the well seasoned chicken perfectly. It all was brought together though by the creamy, delicious white sauce. The salad on the side was fresh, if lacking a bit in flavor. Overall, while a little pricey, as another yelper noted, it was a very good experience and I would go back and try the other options. read more

Not disgusting but nothing special. Interior design suggests this is a corporate operation. Not authentic. Bland tasting meat, uninspired hummus (that tastes better at Trader Joe's) and some serious dry and boring Pita that definitely tastes masses produced. Go to "The Gyro Shop" for some serious flavor and DELICIOUS PITA. read more

Love this place! Food is great. Hummus is awesome. Good vegetarian options ! Good for weekday lunches

Hot fresh and addicted at first bite. Friendly staff and good food. I was just hoping to have more drink choices but they had all the classics. Definitely worth a try. read more

Super delicious and fresh Arabic food! We tried the kofta wrap and chicken tawook wrap, which were both wonderful! I would switch back between the 2 depending on what I was craving. We also tried the falafel (just the fritters not the wrap) and it was perfectly crispy on the outside and very moist inside. Just perfect! Also had an order of kibba. Probably one of my favorite kibbas from a restaurant. Again perfectly crispy exterior and juicy interior. My husband got the tabouleh which he enjoyed a lot, but I prefer for mine to have more bulgar. Loved the seasoning on the fries. Since it was our first going, I wanted to try a lot of different things so I know what to get next time. We will definitely be back! read more

I'm so happy that board bites is open and I will definitely be back for lunch. This is a casual counter service restaurant. The décor is a blend of modern and rustic and industrial all at the same time - yet it works. Seating includes high top tables and booths. On my first visit, I had the fattoush salad with chicken add on. The chicken was very flavorful but they were kind enough to give me a side of their garlic sauce anyway. The salad has a strong lemon flavor to it, which I like. I did find the regular size a bit on the small size. People with bigger appetites may want to size up. It was *just right* for me. One possible improvement I'd like to see is to offer different side options for the pita wrap. I want to try it next, but I'm trying to resist eating French fries. read more
