While unemployed for a time last summer, I opted to do some minor repairs on my car myself. I ran into an issue I couldn't solve on my own and just needed some advice about a radiator valve. I went to the BMW Eugene parts department for some help. The unkempt young man at the counter told me to take a walk. "If we aren't doing the repairs, we won't give you advice." Never mind that I'd already spent THOUSANDS in their shop. Never again! And when I buy that new Bimmer it won't be at their dealership. I left the dealership both angry and embarrassed. Don't expect customer service at this dealer. One of the worst experiences I've had with any business. read more

Purchased a pre owed Toyota. No transparency and integrity by the sales man and finance guy. My fault for pursuing the purchase even though they refused to tell me/show me on their records of their service department: 1. What they fixed 2. What they did in terms of maintenance and 3. What they recommend. I ended up with and over $600 bill from my mechanic... Not even fixing the 3 open recalls and using zip ties to hold up the plate beneath the car... There are so many dealerships that provide the print out of their service records, offer to take the vehicle to your own mechanic... Such a sad, sad set of values...lesson learned and never again:) read more

It's been a couple of years since I bought a car here but I felt it was worth sharing that I ended up getting a great deal on a 5 series here. If I ever consider getting another BMW (I sold it since I ended up moving to Seattle and not driving very much the following year) I'd definitely call BMW of Eugene to check out what sort of deal they could offer me. If you can, try to find what you're looking for out of their selection of brand new previous year's models. This is the best way to get a screaming deal on the car since they're obviously in less demand than the current year's models but still just as good. Their service department seems to be on top of things also although if you're under 25 they may be hesitant to give you a loaner car when you drop off yours for service. All in all this place does a good job of maintaining BMW's reputation for quality. read more

Worst customer service ever. If I could give it a minus 10 stars, I would. Don't buy your car here. No one cares!! Lack of everything. No follow through. I've never experienced such bad service. You'd think they'd put some effort for a car that cost more than a 100k but no. Not an ounce. Never again. Lexus treated me 10000% better than this. Lesson learned. read more

I've owned several cars made by BMW, Mercedes Benz, and Lexus, as well as many made by other manufacturers. Of the supposedly high quality cars, my BMWs have been consistently the worst by comparison, in terms of reliability and recurring problems. But the really aggravating part is the extraordinarily bad service I routinely receive from BMW of Eugene. It's almost a joke. It usually takes at least 3 visits to deal with a problem. They NEVER get right the first time. I bought a new SUV from BMW two years ago and had one of those annoying rattles from the first day (among other problems). After 3 visits the other problems were eventually fixed, but after 5 attempts they still failed to fix the rattle. It got so it was all I could hear. I had to sell the car. I just couldn't stand dealing with their lousy service department one more time. Oh, and the sales department isn't much better. They always try to underpay for your trade in. It's just rude. Do yourself a favor and go to Mercedes or Lexus. Their sales and service departments are ethical and professional. They are a pleasure to deal with. For example, when dropping off a car for service, I'm usually out of there in a loaner within 1 minute. At BMW it usually takes at least 10, often 15 minutes. At Mercedes and Lexus the paperwork is complete and waiting for your signature before you arrive. At BMW, they fill it out while you wait, and wait, and wait. It's just stupid. I'll never do business with BMW of Eugene again. read more

So I want to share an update since the new management has come in. I've noticed a big difference in a desire to do right by customers. Things still aren't perfect, there have been some times where things slipped through the cracks or didn't go smoothly, but every time I've talked to someone about it, they have done what they could to make things right, and I appreciate the change it attitude across the board. read more

If you want to feel like a woman on a date who chooses not to give the guy what he wants, gets dropped off early and then ghosted - this is your club. We drove several hours to look at specific models and stopped at Eugene BMW because they specialize in the make and model we wanted. We were treated great until we said no. We met the manager, were thanked for my service and were respectfully complimented, and even given cookies and snacks for the kids. A real great dealership experience to that point. Our salesman, Easton, was fantastic. But then we said no over a difference of about $2,000. The finance manager treated us like novices, insulted our intelligence and acted like a arrogant jerk. The switch-aroo was in play. We were willing to walk and did. It was not the first time a deal could not be made. It was the condescending attitude and a 'better and smarter than you' persona which was a real disappointment. So, if you are seeking to feel like a woman with principles that stands her ground and is no longer welcome in the cool-kids-group. Perhaps Eugene BMW should be on your list. read more

Avoid at all costs if you are looking to buy a used car. Bought a used car from them, used doesn't mean cheap. Within a week of having it I was told by a mechanic that the vehicle was NOT safe to drive. I contacted BMW to get it in to be looked at and was told that the service department would call me, they never called me. I called multiple times. I checked our warranty, and it is only for DENTS, even though I remember asking the finance lady if it covered more than cosmetics, and of course, she said, "Oh yes! The only thing it doesn't cover are wheels and tires." I find it incredibly disgusting to have a new family walk in your place of business, with a two week old baby, have them finance an SUV that is unsafe, have them sign up for a bogus warranty, and then NEVER return their calls when they call within 7 days of purchasing a vehicle from you. Horrible experience. I guess since we weren't purchasing some $60,000 BMW, that we just weren't important enough to them. read more

Horrible experience here. The blonde bitchy face at the service desk was absolutely rude, arrogance and unhelpful at all. Last week, we gave them our car to take a look because the light for service engine was on. It took them 2 days to find out what problem is it and 2 more days to diagnose. She called and said they need to replace some parts, I trust them and let them do all. The cost was $1300!!! Just 7 days after we have our car back, that stupid light was on again but this time, our car was worse than before and it came with shaking experience. We returned to complain about this problem. Her response was absolutely ridiculous, "Last time was a different problem, we fix it and the light was off. But this time is a different problem, how am I supposed to know when your light is on again." read more

We bought an 2014 BMW in August, 2017. At the time of signing we were told that if we wanted the extended warranty we had to decide but could cancel at anytime with no charge if we cancelled within the first 90 days. We signed at 4:00 pm and called the next morning to cancel. They told us that the loan needed to book and then they would refund the funds. That was back in August, 8 months ago. I have called the warranty company who stated the. BMW dealership has the funds. We have been told several lies, including twice telling us the check has been sent. Still no check. I have never had a company in such an inmature attitude, including not putting me through to the manager since I had called so many times they know my voice. This is not a small sum we are talking is $3,000. My husband will at be at the dealership again today. read more

I have been a customer of BMW Of Eugene since 2001 when I purchased my first BMW. I have bought and sold multiple BMW vehicles since then, but the one thing that hasn't changed is my appreciation for Ashley in the service department. She has been there for all but a couple years and I trust her judgement and honesty. Anytime I've had an issue (which let's be honest, makes us anxious and stressed out, worrying about the cost!) Ashley has always diagnosed the "must fix" and the "can wait a little while". That's a rare occurrence in the service industry! She moved to Portland for a year or two and I realized after she left just how great she was. I took my car into be serviced shortly after she left, and was pushed into things I didn't need and the atmosphere changed so much that I would have my husband take our vehicle to Salem during business trips, rather than go through the hassle we received in Eugene. A couple months after she moved back, my nail technician and I were chatting and she told me that Ashley was back and I instantly called for a service. She truly is invaluable to not only her customers, but also to the company. On a sidenote, one afternoon I was driving my husband's SUV and while on the phone with her to make an appointment, his vehicle started to make some funny noises and started to jerk so much that I pulled over along the freeway. After telling her I'd call her back, she asked me to describe what it was doing. She then told me what it might be and offered to call a tow truck for me and asked if she could do anything to help me. This wasn't even a BMW vehicle, yet, she cared enough to make sure I was ok. Sure enough, upon taking it to the GMC dealer, it WAS the issue she thought it was and I was prepared enough to make sure they didn't try to add unwanted/unnecessary things to my repair bill. That showed me how much she cares about her customers and cemented my loyalty to follow her wherever she might work for repair issues! While I do like many of the staff that has been there longterm, Ashley truly is the sole reason I keep coming back to BMW Of Eugene after 16 years. You can never underestimate how one employee can make all the difference in your bottom line. Thank you Ashley for all your help over the years. You are one in a million! read more

My husband and I purchased a vehicle from this dealership today,we are content with the car but the customer service was ridiculous. We made an appointment a day in advanced only to come in and were prepared to purchase and the car wasn't even serviced (oil change basically) We live almost 2 hours away, and Emily told us we could come back the next day. We took off work and planned our whole day around other appointments to go and purchase the car .. after multiple texts to Emily and no response we finally reach her and she states there is 'no way' the car can be ready by a certain time.. then she states she still needs to run a credit check. I dont know why she didnt do this first thing In the morning, and we have purchased cars before and gotten oil changes.. they take 15 minutes. She had is waiting hours, we missed appointments and had to pay for childcare, not to mention the day before the general sale manager was refusing to give us any kind of good deal, and we were lied too and told the car just arrived a few days before when in fact it had been there for 2 weeks. We felt disrespected and they clearly only want your money and don't care to accommodate you. Emily was lazy, took hours to get back to us, and it was all such a hassle when my husband finally got there he asked for them to comp the oil change package because of everything they put us through, Emily LAUGHED at my husband and Richard told him "no I'm not doing that, if you dont want the car then so be it" these people wont accommodate or go above and beyond for their customers, I definitely wont be recommending or return to this location. We didn't even want to buy the car, but in the end we did because of everything we went through to get there. read more

Stay away from this dealership! These people, including management, are crooked liars. The sales person had no sense about him and obviously no knowledge or experience in selling a BMW, or any vehicle for that matter. Every aspect of our sale was frustrating and the process took over six hours, which is unacceptable. I've purchased many vehicles and this by far was the worst buying experience EVER. Lithia provided far better customer service and professionalism than this dealership ever could. STAY AWAY! read more

First time shopper at bmw of Eugene and had a different expectation of hospitality. My Fiancé and I have been shopping for a new/used Crosstrek and saw they had one on the lot. We coordinated a test drive and initially the visit was smooth. Christian took our driver's license while we were doing a once over the on the car. We took it out on the test drive and while on the test drive we had it inspected and quoted for repair and detail. The car was in poor condition. Absolutely no indication from photos yet on line. The bumper needed to be replaced/repainted (500$). Tires were 3/32nd (1k) all terrain tires. Car didn't have back seat belts as previous owner dog chewed through them. There were severe scratch marks throughout the cars interior from the dogs as well as terrible dog odor. Detail to get this car in decent condition will be 1k range as we got a quote from a reputable detail shop in town. Car seats had rips, holes in the driver side door from something that was previously mounted. Car needed major TLC, which were not afraid of, but as buyers we need to be aware of expenses that this car will need. Before we even get to talking numbers or negotiation we were told the car was on "covid pricing and the price was reflective. I asked for a kbb to back that statement up. Christian proceeded to gather a kbb quote for a Crosstrek in "very good" condition with options that the car we were looking at didn't have. After pointing that out and stating we're not paying that cost for a car that's not in the condition of the quote you're giving, we were answered with "well, you could look somewhere else." So that's exactly what we're doing. We walked away at that moment. Overall, impressively poor experience from bmw of Eugene. And forgot to mention, we are prequalified, ready to buy shoppers. Christian didn't even talk numbers before recommending us to shop elsewhere. read more

I've always had good experiences with Eugene BMW. I have an 02 7 series that takes a lot to maintain, and I really appreciate that when I bring my car in they do a full diagnostic, explain everything in detail, and help me to prioritize the work that needs to be done so that I'm able to budget repairs and still drive safely. The staff is always extremely kind and helpful and I've gotten to know them well over the years. Here's what I love most: -A loaner BMW while my car is being worked on. -Pick up or drop off when necessary. -A discount for frequent repairs. -Detailed breakdown of repair invoices. It took over 5 hours for the process and we were paying cash! Then I didn't even put 300 miles on the car before it needed an oil change, no they did not tell me it was due. We noticed a leak right away, they gave us the run around and refused to fix it. Ridiculous. Can not believe the lack of customer service here. They were kind (even if they were super slow) during the process, but I have not been impressed with the attitude and lack of willingness to make their mistakes right since we left the lot. read more

I took my BMW in for a recall on the airbag, but when I got it back, the horn didn't work. I brought it back to get it fixed and they said they didn't have a loaner car for me because I didn't ask for one. I didn't have to ask for one last time, and my husband said they always asked him when he was making an appointment. They said they could give me a ride somewhere or come back 5 days later. As others have stated, the new ownership at BMW of Eugene has completely turned things around in the service department. A very special thanks to Greg McKenney in the service department and Joe Wheeler in the parts department for always taking great care of me and my vehicle, and especially the level of service I received on a recent visit. I was in for another issue and mentioned a problem I was having with tires that were put on the car by an out-of-town BMW dealer. The tires were defective and the problem needed to be addressed by the manufacturer (Goodyear). My issue was with Goodyear, not BMW, and Greg and Joe could have easily told me to contact Goodyear directly. Instead, they gave me the keys to a loaner vehicle (so I wouldn't be driving on defective tires) and insisted that they be the ones to contact Goodyear on my behalf. Two days later my car had brand new tires at no cost or hassle to me. They went above and beyond and solved the problem for me, which is what high-end service is all about. I can't recommend BMW of Eugene highly enough! read more

Extremely disappointing experience. It begins with needing my cameras adjusted after a windshield replacement. The glass shop had to send me to BMW Eugene. I left a detailed voice mail of my issue and desire as I was unable to reach a live person during business hours. Two days later (pretty glacial pace) an employee contacted me and said, "you called"? I confirmed I called and asked her if she had an answer to my question. She said what was my issue? I asked her if she listened to my detailed message. No, she did not (seriously?). When I shared with her my Heads Up Display ("HUD") was not visible with my polarized sunglasses as it had been just prior to the replacement. She pretty much told me I was full of it (Not a good thing to say to a customer). She told me no way I was able to see my HUD with polarized sunglasses (pretty much makes me feel like she's telling me I am being untruthful (Not good)). I think, wow, an $80,000 car and I cannot see my HUD. That does not make any sense. I since learned that it's a thing and my experience, although real, was an anomaly. Unfortunately, things did not end there. When I retrieved my car, a technician left his business card in my car. I noticed the HUD was not as bright as it was when I dropped it off. So, I called the technician thinking he must have left his card in case I have any questions. I was directed to leave a voice mail. I left a simple message asking whether or not he could increase the range of brightness. I get a call back from another employee letting me know I cannot just call the technician directly. I let him know he shouldn't then give technicians business cards or if the dealership does, do not let technicians place cards in people's vehicles as it seems like leaving the card is an invitation to call (maybe there is some protocol I am unaware of - perhaps I will google it) said person. He then asks me what he can help me with. I ask him if he listened to my detailed message. He says no (seriously?). I then explain to him how choppy my experience has been. He apologizes. He says let me see if I can get a technician on the phone. He was unsuccessful. He says I want your experience to be great (Nice) so he will get right on it and have someone call me back. My question was simple: Can you increase the brightness of my HUD? That's a yes or no answer requiring little to no research, especially considering a technician was just working on my car. That exchange was two days ago. I wouldn't write this review but not getting a timely return call for a second time, to a simple question, and based on the totality of the experience, I think it's worth sharing. I sure hope they figure some things out. Steve M read more

Absolutely the worst dealership i have ever dealt with or experienced. I am from out of state and was planning on buying a cpo bmw with them, an urgent family matter arose and do not have the time to make the flight out and 3 day drive back. They are trying to keep my refundable deposit of 20k towards the vehicle, the manager Rod is beyond unprofessional, rude and condescending. The owner never responds messages or calls. Matthew was great and helpful and have nothing bad to say about the sales people. However this is shameful behavior, BMW is lucky i love their cars as I would never buy one since they let people like this represent their company. Go to another dealer read more

Brought my car in, they told me the problem could be one of two things, I ended up fixing both(to the tune of $600), Neither worked and they wanted to charge me for more diagnosis before charging another $1200. After arguing I went to pay and they tried charging me an extra $100! Service manager couldn't figure out why, took him 10 minutes to finally adjust the price, acting like he was doing me a favor. Then I get the car back(had to have it towed home), and the radio is missing, the dash is completely taken apart, there are wires hanging everywhere, and the thing is infested with ants! I couldn't believe it! Such an awful experience after they get you in the door. I can't believe they're still in business. read more

Took my vehicle in for 60000 mile service and asked that they check on a small issue I was having with the CD player. The CD player worked fine but there was a slight issue with the player reading cd's from time to time. When we got the car back, we received a "No Magazine" error (which I'd never seen in the year that I'd owned the car) and the magazine would now not even eject. I called BMW of Eugene to find out what the issue was and even though the technician ADMITTED to causing the problem and leaving us with a non-functioning cd player, they would not fix the problem and told us we'd have to spend the $400 to have it fixed by them. Their argument was that "it probably would have happened to us anyway." - an argument I'd expect from a low level used auto dealership specializing in Le Cars and Daewoos, not BMW. Needless to say I will never take my vehicle there again for any further service, nor will I, when the time comes to trade up, even consider their dealership. The best part is that my wife took the cd player out and, not knowing a thing about the player, fixed it in about 20 minutes. Nice job BMW of Eugene read more

First of all I had a very similar experience as Jason J. More importantly, at 61, 689 miles I had a major service for $669.70. There were many other recommendations they made-for a big price of course. The service said I needed to replace a Right Rear Brake Caliper for $140. I bought one myself for $6.99 from Bavarian Autosport and installed it in less than 2 minutes. At 65, 018 miles the radiator light came on so when I checked, it needed about a quart of water added. After running the engine I thought I'd better check the antifreeze protection. THERE WAS NOTHING! I called Ashley to complain and was told that during a MAJOR inspection it is assumed that the antifreeze is lifetime. BMW service only checks to see if the radiator is full, not protected! It would be another $130 to refill and flush it. I found a much more reliable mechanic who was recommended and who did it for $80. He services very high end cars. Obviously I will not be going to BMW of Eugene for any more service, nor will I buy another BMW there again. They sell them at other places in Oregon. If this is how one is treated and how reliable the service is locally-forget it. I had several other issues I was not happy with as well but can't really prove them. read more
