Excellent team! Our pool was completed on time, with no surprises except how awesome it is. Marsha and Cindy ware great, though everyone we dealt with was fantastic, every contractor was not just good at their job, but friendly and helpful. Great advice at the design stage too, John knows his stuff. Definitely recommended, without hesitation. read more

We are finally relieved to have our project done with Bluewave. A project that should have been done by end of April, was not completed until mid-June. If we had options when buying our home to use a different pool builder, we would have chosen another vendor. Our project manager did great work considering all the issues we encountered. This included the gas-line discussed at design stage and included in our pricing was left out of pool drawings. When pointed out, the builder would have charged us a second time, had we not caught this double-dip ourselves. We picked all our tile, travertine, and finish very early on in the process. Bluewave later in the process wanted to charge us second time for the finish. We had to point out that our finish was included in original pricing. We have a connected pool and spa, and the design called for covered spillway between them, but the spillways were left uncovered. We had to point this out, and when corrected the quality of the work was sloppy, and some grout dropped in the pool and stained the finish. The filter covers were not finished to be flush with the deck. Even after Bluewave sent someone out to correct this, it still was not flush. Our landscape design vendor had to step in and correct the problem. We asked very early in the process if we could add a mosaic, and we were told that would not be a problem. When the time came to have it installed we were quoted an installation fee that was three times too high. We had to pay a different vendor to install the mosaic. Some of the diamond shaped tiles in the pool were placed poorly. Bluewave would want people to believe that the delays were due to changes we requested, but the whole process fell apart when Bluewave left out the gas line. Our impression was that Bluewave treated us like they could charge us outrageous fees because we were locked in with them through our builder and our mortgage. Giving this pool builder one star was being overly generous. read more

I just completed my Blue Wave Pool! Turned out FANTASTIC! Prior to Blue Wave I researched many companies and received many bids. Save your time and skip the quotes...go with Blue Wave. Best value, extraordinary customer service. John, Shane, and Cindy were fantastic to work with. Responded to every question I had and kept me informed through the entire process. So glad we found Blue Wave Pools! read more

Awesome pool, great people, got done ahead of schedule considering the rain we had. Accommodated our last minute changes and everything they did is awesome! Highly recommended!! read more

I only gave 2 stars because the quality of the sub contractors hired was good, the work appears to be quality...but otherwise, they would have gotten 1 star. I made my first call to BW in April 2021 after being recommended by my neighbor. On May 4th or 5th I signed the contract & put down a deposit. After that, things dragged. Throughout the rest of 2021, I heard "you'll be swimming by fall (2021)".. fall came, nothing happened.. "you'll be swimming by the holidays".. nothing happened"...you'll be swimming by the new year"... nothing. I heard every single excuse in the book for why this was taking so long. Finally, in February 2022 the dig happened, out of the blue. No one even told me they were coming. There were several instances of me getting the crap scared out of me because I'd see someone in my backyard but didn't know anyone was coming. Communication was non-existent for most of the 16 months it took to get my pool complete. 16 months, folks. I was more patient than any normal person should have been. The process took so long that when it was time for 2nd payment (July 2022) and I tried to get my financing re-approved, the market had changed, and it took me 5-ish weeks to get that settled, so that 5 week or so delay in that 16 month total was mine, however if the project hadn't taken so long, it wouldn't have been so hard to complete my financing in 2021. But even 15 months is outrageous. My sales guy/designer stopped replying to my messages. Finally I'd had enough and emailed the owners on Aug. 2nd, 2022, for help. Marsha replied the next day and created a potential schedule of events to get this finished by (hopefully) Labor Day. I never heard an apology, and even more importantly, a real honest REASON why my project was taking so long. I believe I fell through the cracks between May 2021 and the dig in February 2022. And then even after they "found" me, no priority was given to my pool build. Another neighbor in this same development started the process 7 MONTHS after me and was ahead of me. In the end, the pool is now complete (mid-Sept. 2022), my financial situation is not the same as it was, and my financial 3 year plan trashed. I can no longer refinance as originally planned to pay off the pool loan, due to rates, bills are piling up, and I'll be stuck here longer than I intended. I'll be researching to see if there's any kind of legal relief for me out there. I have about maybe 2 weeks left to use my pool before it gets too cold, after 2 full summers have passed since I started this process. This whole thing has been a long, stressful nightmare. And if Blue Wave pools wants to save face, some kind of compensation would help. I've never gotten anything from them but a free Blue Wave towel. Nowhere on earth ever at any time is 15-16 months acceptable to build a pool. read more

Upon purchasing our new home we were referred by the builder to this company for a pool. We met with John to discuss our needs, goals and dreams for the pool and patio area. We had a size, design and features all ready in our head, we just needed it put on paper to see if feasible. On our second meeting we had our CAD drawings presented to us and he told us that because of us having to wait for funding after closing of the home, that we should sign the "price lock contract" so that once the new costs for the year for contractors and materials came about, that we would be locked in for last years rates. We asked if we needed to put down a deposit or anything, but were advised that this was just to lock in the prices, and we would get a final contract once we were closer to building. John was very nice to deal with when we first started this project. However, it took a turn when my husband returned from overseas, where he works for 60 days at a time. We wanted to change the design of the pool a little bit and he revamped the estimate of what the new cost would be, which we realized was not going to be possible for getting financing from. We were referred to another pool company by a neighbor for an estimate on the same design. We called to advise John at Blue Wave that we were not going to be able to do our pool thru him, because of cost. We were not able to get funded for the amount of the pool design that we planned. Marsha emailed us back to let us know that they were sorry we weren't able to use them. We left John a voicemail stating that we found another vendor who was able to give us everything we asked for and included the higher cost travertine full porch along with the Pentair in ground cleaning system, which were not included in the Blue Wave estimate due to cost. We were hoping that John would return our call to see if he could price match. This new estimate was $15000 cheaper with all the extras. However, he never called that day or the next, so we signed a contract with our new company and gave a $1000 deposit. The 3rd day my husband was driving to the airport to catch his flight to Afghanistan, when John proceeded to call and berate him for switching companies and not giving him a chance to match the price. He said we were "stupid" for choosing someone else, that we were "not going to get good quality for that price," and plenty of other things. The topper was that he advised us that he "was going to file a cease and desist"order so that our new pool builder couldn't build a pool for us either. My husband was livid that someone in this industry would berate a client, or potential client and not try to be respectful, knowing that word of mouth is the best form or worst form of advertising. We took our paperwork to a lawyer, and paid $500 to have him look it over, where he advised us and Blue Wave pools that there was no breach of contract, since no money exchanged hands. He advised us that he would reach out to Blue Wave to attempt to resolve this conflict peacefully. John at Blue Wave refused his attempts for multiple calls and finally left a voice mail stating he would "settle for $500" and that "payment needs to be in the form of a cashiers check as I no longer trust the Hibler's." This voicemail was saved and played to me by the lawyers office. Had John asked us to at least pay for the CAD drawings, we gladly would have done so and saved ourselves $500 in attorney fees and the extra wasted money that John took in the $500. (no CAD drawings cost that much) We reported his company and his horrible customer service to Maracay Homes and advised them to not refer their potential clients to him, as the service when things don't go his way, gets ugly. read more

We were referred to Blue wave pools by a friend who had amazing service. From the first day we met John and Marcia we were immediately at peace with our investment decision. This company gave us excellent customer service, helped us to chose the perfect pool for our budget, and kept us updated on the progress of what to expect. I would HIGHLY recommend this pool company! read more

Blue wave came highly recommended, so we scheduled an estimate with Robert, he cancel a week before, we understand things happen. The day of the estimate he was very professional so we were confident we would go with them, he said he would have an estimate and a blue print my husband asked him for in 4 days. On day six I hadn't heard from him so I decided to send him a text letting him know we decided to go with them but we would still like to see the estimate on paper, no reply. We decided to call the main office 10 days later, we spoke to Marsha, we once again told her they came highly recommended and we would still like to use their services our only request was to work with another sales rep, she was very nice and professional said she would speak to the owner and assign another rep asked to get our number and said she would call us back, that was last week no call yet. Save your time go with someone else, they are professional but don't follow through. read more

We are building a new home with Maracay Homes and Blue Wave is their recommended pool company. We have had two appointments with John and so far and we couldn't be more impressed. We are a newly married couple and told John right away that we were on a tight budget and wanted the most pool for the least amount of money. He clearly explained the pros and cons of each item so we could understand and make the best decisions. At no point did we feel pressured to upgrade or spend more money than we wanted to. The best part of the process so far was seeing a 3D model to scale of what the pool would look like in our backyard. *Will update this review once the pool is finished.* read more

I can't say enough good things about this company. John and his team are so professional, friendly and honest. Marsha is the best! You won't go wrong picking Blue Wave to build your pool. I highly recommend them. read more

Steve whom i worked with was great knew what he was doing and felt good and understood everything better. The other 3 pool companies wanted to rush and contact you later for desogn. Steve explained everything and answered questions. We will see how the building process goes. read more

We are in the process of installing a pool with blue wave. I will update this as the job proceeds but we have had three in person appointments with blue wave. All appointments went very well, you are greeted by a white board welcoming your party and almost immediately someone comes to ask if you have an appt or if you need help. The process with John has been seamless so far and he seems very knowledgeable about the business. I believe he has been in the business for over 23 years. So far very professional 3D renderings and professional attitude and thorough descriptions/explanations of all questions my wife and I have had. They have a very decent showroom for the types of equipment, stone, colors etc. that they offer. This is a work in progress and I will update when the actual install takes place! read more

My husband and I went in here because we Googled "certified pebble sheen" dealers. We found out that this location had pebble sheen. So we walked in, looked at the sheen. When we were about to leave, we had a question about the sheen hurting our feet. A gentleman came out and asked who is building our pool. We told him we are contracting ourselves. He told us we have to leave. He told us not to take advantage of stores that have overhead. Even if that was the case, (which we didn't even know we were in the wrong spot) he should never treat anybody like that. I have never felt so disrespected at a public place. All the while, having no idea we weren't at the "right" place, according to him. There's no excuse for this behavior. Stay away...sounds like they don't really care about anybody unless they're paying a pool company. I would also like to mention that he insulted the way we are building our pool by sarcastically saying that people like us do this to "save money." He doesn't know a thing about us. If you're not a Pebble Tech dealer, take your name off their website. read more

I wanted to take a moment to thank John, Marsha and the rest of the Team at Bluewave! John built my pool a few years back, and my family decided it was time to move. We had some issues with our in-floor system not working and when I called Marsha, to explain and that time was of the essence, she told me not worry and she would get to work on it right away. I received a call from one of Bluewave's guys, stating he was asked to give me a call to help me out. He said Marsha had stated, my delema and understood that I had a time sensitive constraints and that he would personally come over and help me out. I was shocked, that someone would drop what they were doing and come help me out( who does that anymore?) anyway, he was there at 230 as promised. He took a look at my system and said that he would need to replace the main gear head He did and that fixed the problem and it was covered under the Bluewave warranty Thank you, John, Marsha and your team!!! read more

Not sure they wanted our business... Spent many hours trying to call and connect with anyone who might help us design a pool. No one would return calls (including the manager). When we did finally connect, the design was not close to what we discussed. Very disappointing. read more

John and his team at Blue Wave built our pool over 15 years ago and it's still in wonderful condition. If building a pool today, I would definitely have their team build us another one. The company is reputable and has been around for well over 30 years. The staff is honest, courteous, and extremely reliable. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have a pool built. read more

We couldn't have picked a better pool company! Starting at our first appointment communication was great. The pool design was exactly what we had described and the pool process was explained to us. Once construction started we were kept up to date with each phase and when it would take place. Our pool was checked on during different stages and any question we had were answered. The finished product is beautiful! We loved working with BlueWave! read more

We now have a beautiful pool and Blue Wave made it all seem so easy. Steve came to our home and explained everything carefully so we understood the process. He listened to our needs and designed the perfect pool for us within our budget. Buffy from the office called us on a regular basis to keep us posted in the process. Jason or Shane were always here to make sure the work was done properly and show us how to operate the equipment. We were very happy throughout the whole process and would recommend Blue Wave Pools to friends and family. read more

We built our pool a year ago (January 2015). The pool design and build went as planned. My wife and I were pleased with how smoothly the install went. Aside from a few setbacks, the pool completed on time. However, since then the service we have encountered with the company for pump and other repairs has been poor. Last year shortly after the pool was installed, during summer, we had a pump issue that took months to resolve. Numerous emails and phone calls many that went unanswered has really tarnished this company. This year (2016) we had an issue with the gauge on top of the filter housing and our A&A ozone system. it took more than three phone calls and two weeks to get the service manager out to look a the problem, only to pawn it off on A&A. Again no call back this week to schedule A&A to take a look. This company is good at building pools, but terrible at customer service, returning phone calls within a timely manner, and doing what they say they are going to do. read more
