Pan-seared Rainbow Trout
Taylor S.

Such a nice spot! The service was great, even though we were one of just a few tables outdoors. The patio is very nice with a variety of seating options, including high tops and regular tables. It's also majority shaded via pergolas and umbrellas. I had the pan-seared rainbow trout which was delicious! Perfectly cooked, with a great sauce and accompaniments, including gigante beans. There are so few restaurants that are actually utilizing beans or trying to do interesting dishes with them, so I really appreciate this! While this is a brewery, the restaurant felt like it also really has prioritized their food to be much more than just bar snacks, along with plenty of non-bar style spaces to talk and eat -- you can easily have a great time here as a non-drinker

Crispy Cobb Salad

This a common pick for happy hours and lunch. Last time I came by for a retirement lunch, it was fine. They're good if you need to get a larger group together, as long as you plan it with them. The staff is accommodating since I had to leave for a meeting. They got us on separate checks and on our way. I had a crispy chicken Cobb salad. The chicken was nice and crispy and the Cobb salad was nice a fresh. I didnt feel like it was overdressed so that helped keep the salad fresh

Part of the Neighborhood restaurant group empire, I am a fan of this place. What I have always appreciated about NRG is their focus on beer. A beverage most of DC completely neglects. At Bluejacket, they have put their money where they are known for pouring beer into the beer production process itself. Here is the thing, they make great beer and their food is well executed as well. In addition to great beer, their offerings were highly diverse, offering something for every palate. Being that I am currently appreciating lagers, I enjoyed their Gan Bei, their Common People and I especially liked their Briefly Gorgeous beer. Serving in all formats from samples to 1 liters, you can sample or consume until your heart is content. Pro tip, look out for their happy hour where the offer discounts on liters of beer! I really enjoyed the burger and fries the last time I was there. It was on point and paired perfectly with my helles. Service was good, and let us camp for about 3 hours while watching a game. I have and will be back, thanks for what you do, Bluejacket. One request - look into procuring a side pour system, I think your lagers would be exceptional in that serving style.

We visited bluejacket without a reservation on a Saturday early afternoon and was able to be seated right away. The space is very large. There are booths, regular tables, bar seating, and also outdoor seating. Their beer selection is vast. They offer drink sizes in taster, regular, and liter (for certain beers). The taster portion was described to me as 3-4 ounces which is economically not worth it but may appeal to some. We tried the: - self-portrait: excellent crisp pilsner - Forbidden planet: great IPA! - Field of Diamonds: IPA with fruity start and a grassy finish? Interesting, initially didn't like it but I grew to really like it! - Warm wishes: sour ale with an emphasis on the sour. Not too sweet! - Tater tots: interestingly cubes! We got the cheese dip and it was SO GOOD I would definitely recommend and would love to return!

I came here with a friend and the food was pretty solid. The servings are big and the service is good.

Jumbo Salted Pretzel

Loved it! First time eating here and it did not disappoint. It was a little worrisome in the beginning as we weren't served until at least 10 minutes after we sat down if not longer. However, we saw it through as I always wanted to try this place. Glad we held on as the food was great. Simple yet filling. I would definitely come back again. I had the fried chicken sandwich with the dry rub and it was delicious. I do kind of regret getting the fried chicken sandwich as I saw someone order the burger and that looked great. The ambiance itself is cool. Such a great use of space and the brewery equipment being highlighted throughout was a nice touch.

Easy going and fun atmosphere that's great for enjoying a brewery, games or group setting. Staff is friendly and quick. Menu selection has something for everyone, even vegetarians who are looking for a well rounded with protein rather than the traditional carb only options. The falafel sandwich is a hit; falafel balls are comparable to those I've had at authentic middle eastern spots. Open late and menu changes seasonally so always something new to try, Go for the Starwberry GinGin Mule for a hard drink or the non-alcoholic gin for a lighter option. Potato skins are a must try, truly my new favorite potato skins. Only thing that would be nice if they had adjusted the price if you're not getting a meat protein,

Fried Chicken Sandwich

Stopped in for a casual lunch and ordered the Crispy Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with a stout, and both hit the mark. The sandwich had the right balance of heat and crunch, and the portion felt generous for the price. The stout was smooth, well-rounded, and exactly what you want from a brewery that takes its beer seriously. The service was friendly and attentive without hovering, and the staff made the whole experience feel easy. The space has that lively, industrial-brewery energy -- plenty of buzz, but still comfortable enough to settle in for a drink and a good meal. Overall, a fun spot with solid food, great beer, and a price point that feels fair for the quality. Would definitely come back.

Bread Pudding
Brianna T.

Raise your hand if you agree bread pudding is the perfect fall dessert ‍ Was craving some potato tots and the crunchiest Brussels sprouts known to man so swung through @bluejacketdc and was not disappointed their crispy catfish sandwich hit the spot, and their garden and grain salad with salmon was so filling we made a couple meals out of it I'm a sucker for a seasonal dessert (and bread pudding has always been my favorite) and their cinnamon bread pudding was the perfect fall treat

Was looking for a spot to have some food and beers for my birthday. We were in DC and opted to look for someplace new rather than my usual spots near home. Bluejacket was recommended by a friend of a friend and I have to say I'm glad we ended up there. The manager, Mike...awesome! Our server Carmen...awesome! They both made my birthday super special. I will definitely come back again.

Super last minute because our last restaurant closed for the weekend, so we walked over here and no regrets!! Great social vibe for a birthday, especially since there were 14 of us. We ordered all on seperate tabs which made check out so much easier. Kudos to all our waiters for letting us bring our own birthday cake and cutting it for us!! Fried BUFFALOchicken sandwich with fries & coleslaw 8.5/10 super delicious but felt so heavy I had to take off bread. Strawberry gingin mule 10/10 gin & ginger, lime, + strawberry syrup SO GOOD. and tbh for me to rate a drink this high is not normal & clearly it was a fan fav bc why did the whole table get it too. Honorable mentions not pictured was the Mac & cheese(look so bomb), jumbo salted pretzel was a fan fav, & my friend was hyping up the bluejacket double burger !

Mena O.

My first time eating at Bluejacket and WoW. I ordered the Grilled Cheese & Tomato Basil Soup recommended by the amazing sweet loving hostess Jayla. She made me feel so welcome. Definitely coming back. The vibe was cute very open and spacious. I'm coming back with my boyfriend next time.

$10 happy hour liters!

Is brunch on Saturday?

Don't Know

Do they serve lunch on Saturdays? Their website says lunch is Monday through Friday, and brunch is served on Sundays, so what can I get to eat on a Saturday afternoon?

Yes we serve our lunch menu from 11-430 on Saturdays.

Do they only serve bloody Mary's on weekends or can you order one on weekdays as well?

Seems like you can order any cocktail anytime.

Is there anything healthy?

Doubt it

This seems like a great place to visit if like me you're from out of town or in town for a game,…read moreafter a game, or just gather for a beer, or shots and pizza... but. The place gets busy, especially during baseball season. They have bar and table seating, plus an outdoor front patio. You can order food/ pizza directly from Andy's pizza located inside, or from the bar or your table area. The pizza and fried appetizers are good and pair nicely with the beer. They have two bar areas but only one was open during my visit. It seems like they have a full bar and serve other drinks besides beer. I noticed most people only stopped by on their way elsewhere to grab a beer or shots then moved on. The staff and customer service was just ok. I sat at the bar and out of the two bartenders only one was friendly enough but the other wouldn't even look my way. I had to gesture to get their attention to place my order multiple times. There were also plenty of other staff; servers and bystanders but none were very attentive. Each time I needed or was missing something I had to gesture somebody over. I usually like to know more about a business/brewery, get merch and beers to go and the staff is usually open to share, but here I only learned that the owner likes the TMNT and a shirt was around 35bucks. I would like to come back and visit during baseball season but the lack of costumer service left me feeling a bit off. I spent almost 3hrs here but mostly because I was waiting to get served and billed. Aside the dilly-dally costumer service, the beer was good and pizza tasted great. I liked the baseball themed menu board and the TMNT inspired shirts. For maybe next time.

I can't wait until baseball and soccer season start so that they hopefully get more business over here. I had both of their stouts and the higher alcohol one was marvelous. The bartender was very accurate in her description of how it coats your mouth and really sticks with you. The lower alcohol stout went down, really smooth and was easy to drink. If I had stayed longer, I probably would've got a flight to taste a few other ones. I really hope that they get food other than the burger place that's there because there's only three burgers and none of them are vegan or vegetarian. The burger place also does not have a large amount of side items for people to snack on and from what I gauge from the menu of Atlas, they don't appear to have any food items. For such a large dining room area I would expect there to be more options and since there aren't really a lot of restaurants in Anacostia, I really hope that they add food to the menu somehow. Otherwise you'll have to go across the bridge to get food if you don't want a non-vegetarian burger. From my time here in DC this will be their third location. I think it suits them better than the Ivy city location and I hope that people in Ward eight as well as people visiting the stadiums will stop past Atlas

The pretzel bun they brought out was over toasted and looked like it was pretty dry before that. Like it was HARD. No one came to check on us after the food arrived so I had to take my plate to the check out desk to address the issue. Cait took care of it right away; I asked for just a new bun - I don't mind swapping it out myself. But in the end the burger was still just meh. Almost forgot to mention the fries .. not great. They were salted well but the fries themselves were almost chewy. When we checked out, Cait said apologized and mentioned some staffing issues. She offered to get in touch with some sort of compensation but didn't offer to waive our one beer. We left paying full price for everything. Again, fine spot if you just wanted to hang out and drink beer.
