I can't wait until baseball and soccer season start so that they hopefully get more business over here. I had both of their stouts and the higher alcohol one was marvelous. The bartender was very accurate in her description of how it coats your mouth and really sticks with you. The lower alcohol stout went down, really smooth and was easy to drink. If I had stayed longer, I probably would've got a flight to taste a few other ones. I really hope that they get food other than the burger place that's there because there's only three burgers and none of them are vegan or vegetarian. The burger place also does not have a large amount of side items for people to snack on and from what I gauge from the menu of Atlas, they don't appear to have any food items. For such a large dining room area I would expect there to be more options and since there aren't really a lot of restaurants in Anacostia, I really hope that they add food to the menu somehow. Otherwise you'll have to go across the bridge to get food if you don't want a non-vegetarian burger. From my time here in DC this will be their third location. I think it suits them better than the Ivy city location and I hope that people in Ward eight as well as people visiting the stadiums will stop past Atlas

As a party of one, I always sit at the bar. There's always a great selection of beer on tap, and almost always a stout, my favorite. If you're not sure what to order the staff will allow you to sample. If you want a bite to eat, there is a kitchen with standard bar food. I've had a smash burger and recently chicken fingers. I will continue to make Red Bear a stop on my DC adventures.

1 star for poor customer service and lack of transparency about the new automatic 20% service…read morecharge. Yesterday, my friends and I went to Red Bear. I bought the first round and ordered off the large main menu (above the taps). This menu doesn't list prices or state that a 20% service charge will automatically be added to one's bill. This menu does list several other policies, though, such as "no vaping." When I closed the tab, the bartender did not give me an itemized receipt. Instead, he gave me a lump sum and a screen that asked for a tip. I tipped at the highest level and provided my email address for a receipt. Several minutes later, the receipt arrived and I was surprised to see a 20% service charge tacked on. The service charge had not been mentioned when I paid my tab. I spoke to the employee and asked for the tip to be refunded. The employee apologized for the confusion but also blamed me for not ordering off a paper menu (which mentions the service charge in small print). I eventually spoke to a supervisor, who didn't seem to care. He didn't apologize and wouldn't issue the refund. He said I could write an email to complain. I told them that they handled the situation poorly and could expect a chargeback and a negative review.

The place was at full capacity but it was still easy to order since they have QR menus coupled with digital ordering from your phone. Also easy to get around the restaurant despite it being at capacity. They keep a sports sized igloo filled with water for a serve yourself experience. Plenty of screens and even projected on a large wall so you don't miss the action from any seat. Full service and size bar, not to mention some great bar foods; their loaded taters are a hit but the plain taters were not good. Giant pretzel is a must order.

You order with a QR code at every table/space. You check out with each order rather than running up a tab and accidentally forgetting to close out then getting charged for not closing out. It bothers some people but I think it's fine and easy. I love their food selection almost as much as their drink and beer selection. My favorite go to bites are the chicken thighs, wings, and corn dog bites. They have a lot of other great things but I love these so much and all the dip choices, from regulars like ketchup, mustard and ranch, to a sweet and spicy dip, citrus ranch, and bbq. My go to beers are Party Cloudy and Lucy Juicy, always delicious! It's a really nice spot along the river and great atmosphere.

We ordered the Mac and cheese bites but they did not have any Mac.. it was just fried cut up mozzarella sticks. Which is great.. if that's what it was called on the menu. We also ordered a fried chicken sandwich and a pub burger. The chicken sandwich was fine. The pub burger was ... meh. The pretzel bun they brought out was over toasted and looked like it was pretty dry before that. Like it was HARD. No one came to check on us after the food arrived so I had to take my plate to the check out desk to address the issue. Cait took care of it right away; I asked for just a new bun - I don't mind swapping it out myself. But in the end the burger was still just meh. Almost forgot to mention the fries .. not great. They were salted well but the fries themselves were almost chewy. When we checked out, Cait said apologized and mentioned some staffing issues. She offered to get in touch with some sort of compensation but didn't offer to waive our one beer. We left paying full price for everything. Again, fine spot if you just wanted to hang out and drink beer.
