However, the bartender was kind enough to recognize the state we were in, and he offered to let us stay until the private party began in 30 minutes. We were able to enjoy a nice cocktail and then on our way out, he offered us his umbrella, since it was still pouring outside. After our dinner that evening, we brought the umbrella back and even though the private party looked to be overwhelming, he still treated all the guests with a smile on his face.
