Coffee shop connected to the Heb on Washington. Its kind of inconspicuous. But it's a very spacious coffee shop with a unique menu. I ordered a strawberry match which I say looks a lot better than it taste. One, you definitely have to stir or shake it up before you drink it. Buttt even after doing thst it's kind of lack luster of a drink. They have plenty of options to choose from so I do plan to go back abd further explore their menu. But my drink was mid. The barista was nice and helpful explaining some of the flavors on the menu. Parking is tough because it shares the parking lot with my fave HEB.

Disclaimer: I'm on a hunt for the best cafe to work from as I'm working remote. My review is based on factors for a good place to work from and not necessarily the coffee or food. Overall Good cafe for work. Noise level - 60db quiet conversation Wifi speed - 55 down 57 up Power plugs - 10 but limited to some seats Seats - 40 indoors Parking - free, plenty on street and HEB The service was good. The coffee was ready within 10 minutes during a busy morning. Coffee was okay. Plus points for being next to HEB.

I am always searching for a good hot latte. While making a pit stop traveling back to Hutto from Galveston, I promised my girlfriend we would have coffee time and get drinks. Blue Tile Coffee was across the street from Truth Barbecue, and thanks to my peers on Yelp, it looked to be a safe bet in the area we were in. Inside, it was a really cute space. Plenty of windows and natural light, and their bar was beautiful with its letter board menu, wooden decor, and square wrap-around space. I don't know what espresso machine they use, but it looked super slick. There was a family in front of us, but it was only a few minutes before our beverages were ready. I was busy digging through the baseball cards and Pokémon cards they had for grabs. I ordered a hot lavender oat milk latte while my girlfriend ordered a shaken brown sugar espresso. My drink was pretty good, and hers tasted even better. As we waited by their coffee bar, we admired their blue tile sign of their name, which was super stylish. We then headed on our way as our espresso drinks gave us the boost we needed for the drive home.

Friend recommended visit during the Houston Marathon. Traffic to get around was challenging, but once we got inside, the space is clean and they have a variety of offerings. This experience I would consider a one off because of streets being closed and the crowds during the marathon, but I opted for their chai latte. Nothing extremely notable other than it had good flavor and a good way to combat the freezing weather. Only one barista was available at the time and did her best to take orders and prepare them. While I understood the delay, I saw others that arrived after me get their drinks before me and that's when I went to inquire about my latte. Aside from that a nice choice to check out if you're in the area.

Excellent oat milk latte. Service was quick. I got my drink to go but it looked like a great place to sit and work for a while! Note- Parking is tough here given that it is attached H‑E‑B.

Strawberry cream Matcha

A cozy coffee shop tucked right next to H-E-B -- truly a dream spot! They offer a well-curated menu with rotating seasonal drinks, and there's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors to suit your vibe. I've sampled a few of their seasonal lattes and matcha drinks. The Lavender Honey Latte is a solid choice if you're unsure what to try -- it's balanced and subtly sweet. However, the matcha drinks could use a bit of fine-tuning. The preparation seems more freehand, with water dispensed straight from the coffee machine into a bowl, without using a scale -- which may affect consistency. I tried the Strawberry Cream Matcha, and while it's creamy, the flavor leaned heavily toward the strawberry purée from monin bottle with just a whisper of matcha. It didn't quite deliver on the layered taste the name suggests. Also worth noting: outlets are limited, so if you're planning to work or study for a while, that's something to keep in mind. All in all, it's a charming spot worth checking out -- who knows, you might end up loving the drinks that didn't quite hit the mark for me!

After an initially hyped opening with plenty of buzz (#1), Blue Tile Coffee was supposed to be the anti-IG coffee establishment with a future of high quality pastries, tacos, and craft beer. Located right next to an HEB in the Heights, it been a spot to get a little work done, a coffee date spot, and occasional meeting destination ... before a serious grocery run. The minimal interior has worked well for them. Plenty of natural lighting, comfortable seating, and being in a central location has played a big part in their success. I appreciate their Wi-Fi, clean bathrooms, and extensive outdoor seating. Service has been great on some days and lukewarm on many others. I've had a good number of drinks here and there have been some standouts as well as some low lights. The cafe au lait and nitro cold brew have been the most consistently solid, with the latter not served over ice, unlike the regular cold brew. Their Vietnamese iced coffee hasn't been my favorite and even feels a bit overpriced at $6. Another miss has been their iced matcha latte, which feels a bit watered down at times. Food is a lot more limited than I would have hoped, but in the past the pastries have reigned supreme, while the breakfast tacos leave much to be desired at $4.50 each. I had high hopes for the latter, but there hasn't been a lot of movement here. If not for the ambiance, I do think that there isn't much to help distinguish them from other major coffee-based establishments but I'm hopeful they find their ways here. For now it'll be Wi-Fi and the occasional drink. ___________ (#1) Not just the coffee kind.

Chocolate Covered Strawberry Iced Latte
Jonisha T.

I have been making coffee at home for a while now to save money, but I decided to treat myself this weekend to a couple of specialty drinks to mix things up. Saturdays caffeine choice was a strawberries and crème Matcha. And today I got a chocolate covered strawberry latte. Both of these drinks come iced and I was able to get coconut milk as an alternative. Both drinks were so good! I loved the ratio of strawberry to matcha. Some places just don't get it right, but Blue tile did. I also enjoyed the chocolate covered strawberry drink. It was a nice pick me up this morning. The service is always great. The baristas are friendly and laid back. The ambiance is always chill with music playing and patrons working or studying. Blue tile is a fave for sure. If you get there early enough you can snag delicious empanadas or baked goods.

The matcha was so delicious! I got lavender added in mine and it was sweet but the sweetness was not overbearing. I will definitely be back! The service was very fast I was in and out in about 5 minutes.

Love this coffee shop, but be warned it's located where an HEB is and it's an absolute parking nightmare especially on the weekend! After fighting for parking I almost gave up on my coffee fix haha. I'm glad we stuck around as the matcha and coffee were great. I really appreciate they have a short menu. It's simple and straight to the point so the service is efficient. The baristas are nice and the place is a great meeting spot for friends and you can study/work. If you can get parking definitely stop by!

Strawberries and cream match definitely top 5 match in the city.

I had the strawberries and cream match. Definitely top five matcha in the city parking is tight. But you can just park in the HEB parking garage however seating is limited max 25 people can sit inside. Baristas are definitely on point and music isn't too loud.

Once I reached the counter, the gentleman helped me with selecting a coffee and even answered a few clarifying questions I had about ingredients. I got 2 cortados (I drank the first one so fast that I needed another one), a vanilla latte (sweet but balanced), and two croissants (almond and chocolate). My friends got a cheesecake latte (cupcake dominant and didn't have enough cookie butter flavoring), a white mocha hot chocolate (pretty good), and a blueberry muffin (amazingly soft, flavorful, and balanced). All together, I'll be coming back much more often!!!

Busy enough to expect a wait, but nothing that made me want to leave. I ordered the brisket sammich and a Texas latte. The sandwich came out hot and fresh with a good amount of meat, though it definitely wasn't smoked brisket if that's what you're expecting. The Texas latte was okay. It needed more ice for me, so I asked for extra, which helped. Also could use a touch of sweetener. I waited about 8-10 minutes for my order, and by the time my food came out, a table had opened up, so timing worked out perfectly. The space has a really nice vibe overall and feels like a good place to sit for a bit, catch up with someone, or get some work done. Overall, solid experience. Between the atmosphere and convenient location, I'd definitely venture back again.

A couple of friends and I wandered in early on a Sunday for breakfast/brunch. I ordered the scrambled‑egg and turkey‑bacon tacos with a flat white, one friend had the chilaquiles (he thought they could've used a bit more flavor and some avocado), and my other friend went for the French toast with an iced coffee. We had a great conversation over a delicious meal and solid coffee, and the steady stream of adorable dogs around us was the perfect bonus. I'd read some reviews complaining about the service, but ours was totally fine--especially for an early Sunday morning. It probably helps to be patient if they're short‑staffed, but we had no issues at all.
