We were nearby and decided to stop for something to drink. I enjoyed my unsweetened iced tea. It was delicious. My friend got a Tito's and tonic. Yummy. Very cute place on the water. Charming view as my photos may illustrate. Katelyn took care of us. Very wonderful !!

It's my third visit here & I was happy with the food & the service. I came with a friend unplanned & wanted to try something different. He got a salad with shrimp & I got the salmon which comes with a salad. I liked the salmon but the salad was quite sweet . I had to add hot sauce to make it less sweet. It's hilarious how I wished to add some chopped chilies into my salad. Christmas decor is quit beautiful & you all know me. Gotta take some pictures. We were all alone by the time we left so we did have fun with a cup of Cappuccino!

This is was first time here and I must say I was impressed. The food and the service were amazing! This is a nice place to celebrate special occasions or just casual dining. The decor and the views of the water creates a nice ambiance.

Looking for a quick casual business lunch I stumbled upon Blue en route to the Staten Island Ferry. I was not disappointed based on quick/attentive service, spectacular views and robust menu. Starting with the calamari, which maintained the right level of heat and flavor, followed by the salmon. The salmon was tasteful and ample yet not as fresh as I preferred and only reason for 4 stars. Certainly a place I would visit again if in Staten Island and the same predicament.

I came here for my girlfriends birthday, with some friends, for a Saturday brunch. This place was very nice. You get some great views of the water. Once we were seated, we ordered a few appetizers to split. We tried the Buffalo chicken wings and the Thai calamari. Both of these items were very delicious. The wings were nice and crispy, and had awesome Buffalo flavor. The ranch dipping sauce made it that much better. The Thai calamari was a nice switch up from the traditional style ones. We enjoyed both of these apps. For my meal, I went with the Steakhouse sandwich. This was sliced grilled steak, with toppings, on a sandwich with curly fries. This was a pretty solid sandwich. It tasted great and hit the spot. I was very satisfied with my meal choice. The steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Overall, we all had a nice time here, and everything we tried was great.

The food was delicious. The salmon was not over cooked and tasted delicious. My only gripe was that i had two small pieces of figs. My friend who also got the same meal had more. Everyone loved their food, myself included. The staff was very friendly. Service was prompt and helpful. The ambiance was lovely. I didn't give 5 stars because of the drinks. I needed to order shots to add to the drinks (passion fruit monitor and coconut mojito) because it tasted mostly of club soda. Other than that, just lovely.

A great dinner! We went around 5pm on a Tuesday so it wasnt crowded. Our waitress Kiley was so kind and attentive. Food was terrific. Check out the Prix Fixe menus. Very reasonable for a good amount of food. Can't beat the water views & watching the ships go by. Nice wine selection, too.

The food here is always on point. I arrived and had a drink at the bar. The staff was super friendly and the drink was perfectly made. The bar area was clean and as soon as clients got up from the bar, the bartender Nelson was right there cleaning up. The manager and hostess checked me in before my reservation time. They escorted me to the side room which was a first for me. The windows give you a nice scenic view of passing ships and the railroad track was cool. There is no train service that comes through. The food was amazing. I had the Thai calamari to start. Perfectly fried and seasoned and most importantly fresh. I followed with the chicken sorentino. Two nice sized chicken breasts, fresh eggplant, Italian ham, and cheese cooked in a perfect lemon butter sauce. They brought over homemade mashed potatoes perfectly plated. The waiter was very professional and it overall it was an amazing experience. I finished the night with another drink at the bar. There is plenty of parking, the restaurant is clean, the bathrooms are maintained and clean. It's always a great experience here.

Blue is one of my favorites and for great reasons. If you have not visited Blue in a bit like me, you should make a reservation and check out the update decor. It's beautiful!! As always the service was excellent l. Kaitlyn was efficient, warm, friendly and professional, she was attentive and personable. The food was delicious, we had the stuffed Sole, the salmon, mango sangria and tiramisu for dessert. We'll be back soon.

This place is beautiful- right by the water. we had quesadillas and the Bolognese... delicious! delicious! delicious! We tried the sangria but not thrilled. However, it didn't matter. The vibe is so relaxed and the staff is superb. On my fave list for sure.

Recently returned here after a long time, and the place has undergone some impressive updates! The exterior has beautiful new landscaping and awnings, and the back outdoor space is now a sunroom. The staff remains super friendly. Our dinner was a bit delayed, but it was a busy Friday night. We had two appetizers: Thai Calamari and Grilled Octopus, followed by the Tomahawk for two, which was more than enough for us to finish. Everything was fairly good, but the quality didn't quite match our previous experiences on quieter nights. Despite the busy atmosphere affecting the service and food quality, we still believe this place adds great value to the island and our community, so we're maintaining our positive rating. Regarding Yelp, I recently had my Elite status removed after 8 years because I'm a business owner. Despite not being related or affiliated with any food businesses--only a local real estate office in NY--Yelp managers believe a business owner shouldn't be an Elite reviewer. In my opinion, being a business owner shouldn't disqualify someone from providing honest and fair reviews of unrelated businesses. My reviews are meant to be helpful and honest, and I believe that shouldn't affect my Elite status.

With no reservations on a Saturday evening, the staff were accommodating which I was grateful for. Located at the waterfront, we were seated in the second room facing the water. Beautiful view and room, one can be easily entertained with the boat traffic that passes. Our waiter greeted and served us our beverages quickly along with warm pita bread with olives and grapes in olive oil. Greg, the waiter, gave his insights about the menu along with recommendations in a warm friendly matter. Started off with oysters and ordered two entrees, the bolognese and tuna steak. The east coast oysters were great quality and refreshing. Both entrees were delicious and presented beautifully. Finished the evening with fresh home made key lime pie. Would recommend to make reservations just to be sure there is seating. Will return to try other options since each dish was delicious.

My first time here and it was ok for me. The location is great. Definitely enjoy a dinner by the water. Very nice ambiance. Our waitress I think her name was Kaitlyn was awesome very engaging and attentive. I had the crab stuffed lobster with risotto. I enjoyed the lobster not the risotto so much. It was my first time having it and I wouldn't order it again. However the waitress was very accommodating asking if I wanted a different side not her fault so I opted out. The crab cake was ok more fried I would have preferred a broiled option and for dessert I had the key lime pie which was delicious. I can't say it would be my first choice to go back however I would return. Great customer service and ambiance.

Solo Brunch Experience: Clean Atmosphere, Mixed Flavors…read more I visited Sakura for brunch recently and had a bit of a mixed experience. On the positive side, the restaurant was exceptionally clean and spacious with plenty of seating. Since I visited during brunch, it was quite empty, which made for a quiet meal, though it did feel a bit pricey for a solo diner. The Food: Chicken Winng-ers! The were the winners, here. Chicken wings: were easily the highlight of the meal. They arrived crispy and super hot, as if they had just come straight from the kitchen. Sushi: The sushi was okay--decent enough, but not particularly memorable. Disappointments: Unfortunately, several other dishes didn't quite hit the mark. The lobster was far too salty to eat, the ribs were dry and lacked flavor, and the fried scallops were very greasy. Service: I found the staff to be not the friendliest during my visit, which added to the overall "blah" feeling of the food. While this specific meal wasn't for me given the price point (around $28.99 for the buffet), I appreciated the cleanliness of the space. I'm always happy to support local spots, but for the price, I was hoping for a bit more consistency in the food quality. Lobster & Ribs: "I struggled with the ribs being dry and the lobster being too salty to eat. For those who visit often, is this a common issue, or did I just catch them on an off day?"

Surprisingly the sushi was very limited as well with a lot of rice. Their sashimi was not fresh so I would opt out of it. Cold appetizers were not bad and I was surprised they didn't have a regular salad bar like most buffet would. This one also does not have a hibachi station compared to its competitors on the island. Parking is challenging but they do offer 2 hours free parking at the lot if you have 4 or more people and only during dinner time. The lobster was not fresh and the meat was mushy. Snow crab legs were good. Overall, I think they have to work through their selections and frequency on refilling their food as there is a few options on the island with an abundance of options.

This isn't Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, or Arabic food. This is garbage, plain and simple. For those of you who've eaten here or will eat here do not be fooled into thinking this is authentic food. Try any other Middle Eastern restaurant on the planet or even a friggin' food truck and you'll know what I'm talking about. It should be a crime to disguise brown sewage as Hummus. The staple of any Arabic restaurant, Hummus, and these fools can't even get it right. I ordered the Falafel Platter, Muhammara, 3-way Labneh, and Kunafa, which is a dessert. Anyone who knows Kunafa knows that it's an Arab cheese pastry with sweet syrup and pistachios, which is what it says on their menu. Google it and you'll see exactly what it should look like - like a thin slice of pie with a layer of cheese, pastry, and pistachios. Instead I got a shriveled string pastry, similar to Kunafa but in a circular shape with nuts not pistachios and no cheese. When I called, the order taker on the other line said, "I don't know how Kunafa's supposed to look like but that's Kunafa. The cheese is made in the dough." What!?!? Are you kidding me? Instead of 3-way Labneh, they sent Hummus. Fine. Let's try it. Brown water. Absolutely disgusting with the wrong consistency and no flavor. Next. Muhammara? Watered down red pepper. Not surprised. Now the Falafel, the main dish. I opened the container and found a pile of yellow rice with 4 pieces of burnt brown balls on top. Against my better judgement, I tried it. Yup. Dried-up turd. I dipped it into the tahini, hoping to drown this black rock with flavor. Think again, sucka! The tahini tasted like someone gargled with it then spit it back into the container. This place is a real disgrace. I was actually excited by the idea of having a restaurant with a decent Mediterranean menu nearby, but if you can't even get the staples right, it's time for you to close up shop and find another business. I grew up on Arabic food and, because of that, I'm personally offended and embarrassed by the slop they push as food. Dear Owner: be ashamed.
