In this instance, I expected to receive some peel & eat shrimp, a dish I'm very finicky about. What I received is not what was advertised. The shell was off and the shrimp seemed to have been flash fried & overcooked. The rubbery coating and dry chew made for a bad bite. The sauce was sweeter than it was spicy. Everyone makes garlic noodles differently & these were ok. They were a bit to oily w/a weak garlic flavor. Garlic noodles should explode w/garlic flavor, imo. I'd still recommend them overall. This was my very first time here. Very small establishment with not much space as far as seating. More setup like a to go establishment. The Food was ok. Garlic Parmesan noodles were pretty good. Totally disappointed this time. We have been coming here since they first opened here in the "Burg". Since the opening of the Las Vegas location this place has been neglected. The planned expansion with this location has never come to fruition. The service has gotten pretty bad. The wait times are ridiculous. The food quality and quantity has gone way down. But, the prices have gone up to make it worse. I order the shaking beef fries and the fried shrimp, which was my go to. The fries have much much less food in them then they used to. Oh boy. I had quite the experience at Blue Saigon tonight. And it was not a good one... I have been eyeing this place on Yelp - it has a ton of amazing reviews and delicious looking food. I was super excited to finally try it, so I made a 35-minute drive out to Pittsburg on a Friday night. Only to be extremely disappointed. Arrived at 6:30 PM (this is strictly a takeout only spot where you order and pick-up at the window). Placed an order for their famous garlic noodles with candy chicken wings. "We are out of wings." Wait, huh? Ok fine. Placed an order for their pork burrito. "We are out of fried rice for the burrito." An Asian-fusion spot out of rice? Really? "We are also out of pot stickers." *face palm* It was still early in the night - how could you be out of food? Do they plan their inventory knowing Friday is a popular takeout night?! I ended up ordering garlic noodles (without wings) and a burrito (with fries instead of fried rice). Given that this is a takeout spot I was expecting a 15-20 min wait at most. Thirty minutes pass and still no food. A lady comes out of the restaurant and calls my name to tell me, "Did you order the pork burrito?" "Yes." "We are out of pork for your burrito." LOL SERIOUSLY?! I tell her she can substitute the pork for sisig. Another 15-minutes pass and I finally get my food after 45-minutes since ordering. I wasn't the only one frustrated. The group of people waiting for their food was getting large. I felt bad for all the Door Dashers. I'm not sure if the wait here is always very long but on Friday night it was pretty ridiculous and something I would have avoided if I knew. To top it off, the food was... eh. Granted I didn't get to the try their popular wings, but the garlic noodles were average and the "custom" burrito they gave me was not what was advertised on the menu. Second, there is not a ton of seats but they package well to go... plan for that. We ordered the lemonade (the menu has many options and variations) it was pretty good. We tried the fried shrimp burrito... the rice was fresh, veggies were very crisp and gave a good crunch and the shrimp was fresh fried to order then they grilled the outside of the tortillas... and any added a whole layer of flavor. I personally loved the service, it took less than 20 minutes from order to completion, the staff was happy, singing along with the music and the energetic atmosphere made me feel excited for this new food adventure. One of my favorite go to at one point I went so much I had to require myself to take a break. Their candy chickens to die for. Prior to Covid. There used to be a couple of seats in the room where you can sit down with a friend or two very small dining area. However, since Covid they've turned into a walk up window. Positives first....I was so excited to try. I ended up DoorDashing a pick up order right after they opened. Candy wings, noodles, salad, and side of lemon pepper wings. Manager was very nice. I came at my pick up time, place had three in person orders, and four other in person orders after I checked in with them. 20 minutes later my order was still not ready after scheduled pick up time, the three orders before mine picked up, and the other in person orders that were placed after mine picked up their food too. I was so confused. I tried to make the process smoother, but maybe it's better to order in person, for their on line take out orders might be pushed to the back. Noticed one of the cooks transitioned to the front end. Manager took over for him. Not sure what was happening, but again, manager was nice and apologetic. My wife and I ordered their garlic noodles with 5 pieces of candied wings, sweet and salty pulled pork burritos, lumpia, and Filipino sisig fries. All items were served freshly made and was packed full of flavor. We were shocked because the food was just cooked perfectly and was delicious all the way. The chicken had a nice glazed crisp to it, the burrito was almost like a banh-mi sandwich, the sisig was grilled nicely, etc. The prices are excellent with about $10 for each major item. The lumpia was cooked to perfection and had a nice crunch. The pork sisig was great but the garlic noodles were a little salty for my liking.
