40 minute wait time for two orders of the 5 piece candied chicken wings, one with noodles one with fries. Told "we're working on it" but no time estimate on when it'd be done. Good food no doubt, very sweet, but damn. Also the tables were filthy and the windows gross, lots of sticker residue and grime. No official signs either for the menu, which is so crazy because it was really busy, you think they could afford an actual menu but instead they have a little propped up plastic on the floor by the door sign and random loose paper taped to the wall for other menu items. Positives first....I was so excited to try. I ended up DoorDashing a pick up order right after they opened. Candy wings, noodles, salad, and side of lemon pepper wings. Manager was very nice. I came at my pick up time, place had three in person orders, and four other in person orders after I checked in with them. 20 minutes later my order was still not ready after scheduled pick up time, the three orders before mine picked up, and the other in person orders that were placed after mine picked up their food too. I was so confused. I tried to make the process smoother, but maybe it's better to order in person, for their on line take out orders might be pushed to the back. Noticed one of the cooks transitioned to the front end. Manager took over for him. Not sure what was happening, but again, manager was nice and apologetic. After waiting almost 40 min, I will say the food is flavorful. Especially the wings. Not sure if I would order on line for pick up again...and would recommend that you give them 30 min+ to prepare your order and you will wait. read more

Heard about a fried rice burrito and thought... I need to try this.... So we headed out for a quick lunch and we had read the reviews and the menu ahead of time. First, their vibe is their vibe... if you do not enjoy the music (which was hard not to sing and dance along with) then step outside, they have the buzzer to remind you when your order is ready. Second, there is not a ton of seats but they package well to go... plan for that. We ordered the lemonade (the menu has many options and variations) it was pretty good. We tried the fried shrimp burrito... the rice was fresh, veggies were very crisp and gave a good crunch and the shrimp was fresh fried to order then they grilled the outside of the tortillas... and any added a whole layer of flavor. I personally loved the service, it took less than 20 minutes from order to completion, the staff was happy, singing along with the music and the energetic atmosphere made me feel excited for this new food adventure. I went to Blue Saigon twice. Both times the customer service was great. The first time I went there I ordered the lumpia and pork sisig over the garlic noodles. The lumpia was cooked to perfection and had a nice crunch. The pork sisig was great but the garlic noodles were a little salty for my liking. The second time I ordered the pork sisig over garlic noodles but had them leave off the salt and it was really good. I look forward to my next visit! read more

I wish I got pictures of the food but we devoured it so fast. We got a plate of 8 pieces candy chicken on a bed of garlic noodles. Everything was flavorful in each bite and those wings are huge! I was sharing with my boo, I only ate 3 pieces he ate the rest cause it's huge. And they fill up the white rectangle to-go box to its full capacity for a good $15. Garlic noodles weren't oily and it was just the right amount of "garlic" with every bite lol. Candy chicken was giving me like a honey sweet glazed chicken- definitely recommend ordering it, crispy and juicy with every bite. the sisig fries - it was spicy but really again, flavorful. Can't say too much about it but after one bite, it was definitely a bite to remember just got too full for a second bite. Also filled to the brim with sauces, pork sisig, and fries. Lastly, I love my Thai tea like this. Authentic. Not too sweet and not too creamy. Super refreshing for hot days in Pittsburg. Unfortunately it's to-go only and you order and pick up at the window. I've been coming to this place for years. I'm a huge garlic lover, and this place hits the spot. I frequently order the garlic parmesan wings extra garlic. The candy wings they have are also fire. My absolute favorite is the garlic noodles with extra garlic. I love how they aren't super oily but still delicious. Garlic fries can be substituted for the noodles. Wait is too long, I even ordered for pickup and it says 30 minutes when my husband was picking up it wasn't ready until 15 minutes or so. I read a lot of good reviews about this place, so I finally checked it out. It's okay. Maybe a bit overpriced? I tried 3 flavors of chicken, the garlic noodles, and their lumpia. Out of all of their flavors that I tried, I would probably only get the candied wings again. I've had similar flavored wings at Chinese restaurants which were a Sweet Chili fried chicken. The lumpia was the tiniest lumpias I've ever seen! LoL! They were cute, but cost the same as buying lumpia Shanghai elsewhere. I mean, these lumpias were skinnier than a cigarette. I didn't really like their garlic noodles. I found them to be dry and super sticky. Sticky as in a bunch of them were all clumped together, I don't know, I just don't like the combo of dry and sticky. For anyone wondering about the service, orders are all to-go through a pickup window steps from the parking lot. The day I went the parking lot was a mess. They had pop up tents of people selling tshirts and what not. Hella cars. Hella people just hanging out in the parking lot. Music was blasting from one of the tents. Found Blue Saigon on Yelp while craving sisig. The raving reviews and photos were as close to the sisig as I could get since they were sold out! This means I will need to come back soon! I ended up ordering their pork banh mi, lumpia, garlic noodles, and a tofu taco. The banh mi was great and generously stuffed in a soft roll. We loved the garlic noodles! It had such good flavor. I would even say it rivals the garlic noodles from higher end Vietnamese fusion restaurants. Everyone was ordering their famous punch, which I'll have to try next time! They are located in the same little strip mall as Starbucks. At night the entrance is hard to see and would be easy to miss the parking lot. I would give them a 0 if I could. No food is worth this poor excuse of customer service. I fell in love with this place after the first time I tried it. All subsequent visits after that have been subpar, and the last one was when I decided NEVER TO COME HERE AGAIN. This is not a place where I would want to spend my money and I wouldn't recommend it to others either. I had a car full of hungry kids, so to expedite the process I ordered through Blue Saigon's door dash page (not through the app). Seemed fine. Gave me a 40 minute wait time before picking up. We get there, and we still have to wait in line (because COVID protocols, which was fine) but then they tell me that they never got my order. So I show them the receipts. All they would say was "we never opened door dash today". They obviously did because I was able to place an order. But they assure me that they didn't charge me. So I leave. After checking my bank account, I confirmed that they did in fact charge me. So I went back to the window to make sure they would be refund me. The lady sees me and closes the window! R U D E. So I wait. What else can I do. I watch as she meanders. I see her excited when they get a phone call - anything she can do to avoid talking to me. Even ignoring the large line forming behind me. Eventually that call ends, and she hesitantly opens window. I politely ask to speak with a manager. He comes to the window, looking pretty irate. I tell him that there is a Blue Saigon charge on my card and ask him to refund me. He says only the owner can do that. I ask him if I can speak with the owner. He says I have to call. So I go back to my car and I try to call. Of course, there is no way of reaching the owner. Find other places to eat garlic noodles, sisig fries and tamarind chicken. Or make your own. The food isn't worth dealing with the people here. read more

Can't say no to sisig fries. Had to try the ones here. The first things I noticed upon arrival are the many rules/policies posted near the cash register.....they're a bit intimidating to see as a first-time customer haha though eventually I found out why they're even there in the first place. While waiting for my sisig fries, I witnessed a lady returning to the place with 4 of the same drinks demanding for a refund/exchange because "this drink [flavor] is nasty!" Props to the cashier dude who stood his ground and apologized to her while pointing to the sign that mentions no refunds/exchanges after completed transaction. Based on how well the guy controlled the situation, I guess they get these kind of instances regularly..... Anyway, the cashier dude was pretty friendly to me; staff seemed chill overall. As for the sisig fries, they're pretty good. Gonna be honest, they're not as good as the ones at Papa Urb's in Tracy (they just get the citrusy garlicy flavor balance perfect over there), but still very enjoyable to eat. The fries consist of sisig (pork belly in this case), cream garlic sauce, sriracha, green onion, and crispy fries. The pork belly pieces were delicious with the tangy zing, though some of the pieces were slightly overcooked and they also made the fries a tad more greasy than what I'm used to for sisig fries.....nitpicky points though. This place is veryyyyy goood! I would have rated it a 5 but I feel there is small room for improvement. I noticed the cooks do not have any protective gear for their hair and facial hair. When you are handling food you should always have your hair pulled back, and covered. Secondly when you are cooking it's important to not be goofing off for sanitary reasons. I did not have a bad experience but I feel there is a potential for an issue when you do not take the necessary precaution. read more
