I am a rideshare driver and I drive all over the Bay Area. The service is great here, so I REALLY wanted to like my last meal here! The portions at dinner are huge and great if you have a big family. The lunch specials are a great value and they have a nice variety of lunch items to choose from. I like the Kung Pao Chicken and the fried rice. Very delicious! It would be so nice if they offered dinner specials for single diners. When I ordered dinner the other night it really was overpriced for one person. I didn't like the Mushu at all. Why did they add hoisin to the Mushu itself? ***Yuck!!!!***That's supposed to be a sweet condiment on the side of a savory dish and it wasn't at all yummy having it included inside. I wanted the usual contrasting flavors. Also; the Salt Pepper Tofu had a little too much baking soda in the crust and an off flavor, and I do rideshare, so the huge portions are wasted on me because taking food to go isn't even an option for me. I am giving 4 stars, because I had a 5 star exleriences and 3 star experiences here. They really need to offer plates to single diners at night instead of trying to make us purchase more food than we need, which is particularly disappointing when food quality isn't there. Uncle Wangs is my go-to restaurant when I am in Pittsburgh! Most of their food is top-notch and they have good service. They should also really consider turning down the volume of the to-go order bell. I will return to this restaurant at lunchtime to order something other than what I made the mistake of ordering the last time. This was our first visit to this restaurant after hearing about it for years. It was pretty amazing. The decor is similar to some other Chinese restaurants we've been to, but they also are setup for Karaoke, parties and live music. It's very impressive considering it's not a super large space. The service and food are incredible. The owners were very attentive and friendly. They made my daughter feel like a princess and even sold us on having a birthday party for her in the restaurant at some point. My favorite dish was a tie between the Potstickers and the Black Pepper Beef. However, the Spicy Eggplant with Greenbeans and Salt and Pepper Tofu were amazing as well. This is our new favorite restaurant in the area and we will definitely be back. read more

I've heard good things about this restaurant, but I kept forgetting to try it. Thankfully, they're open late when I was out and about. I should have gotten the basil chicken, but I saw the salt and pepper prawns and was happier to eat that.Because I thought it would be light fare for a midnight snack. It took a long time for the woman up front to take one order before me. She finally gets around to taking my order. And I wait in the car because the atmosphere was not inviting. I ran back in to grab my food and the container was wide open. I noticed the prawns were breaded and I was immediately discouraged. The one thing I wanted was something light and maybe grilled. So I chose seafood. I get it, that a lot of people like breaded food, but many times people are looking for something light. Especially late at night, because it's in heavy right before you go to sleep can make a person sick. When I was expressing my dismay and frustration, the lady who took my order could care less. They weren't worried at all about the experience I had. So I figure why not share it. Most restaurants I eat at state if the food is breaded-not this one. I have enjoyed Uncle Wongs 10 years. It is my family's favorite Chinese food place in the Antioch/Oakley/Brentwood area. The Salt/Pepper Shrimp are the best. Potstickers have been my children's favorite, sometimes I have to buy two order. None of their food is greasy or too battery. It taste fresh every time we order. Little hole in the wall on Railroad Ave in Pittsburg and it was very, very good. Went for the daily lunch Special and ordered Honey Walnut Prawns. My guest had the orange chicken on the lunch. Both were excellent!. temperature of the food was perfect , excellent flavors and rather generous. It is served with soap and a spring roll and either white or fried rice.Honey Walnut Prawns were addictive. The orange chicken was a beautiful presentation. The service was on target and they were busy! Friendly servers and efficient, wow! $14.95 for my prawns and $13.95 for the orange chicken. They brought us a pot of tea which we turned into ice tea! We got delivery through uber eats. This was our first time trying uncle wangs and everything was fantastic! I was hesitant to order from somewhere other than our go to spot but I'm really glad I did because I actually like uncle wangs better! My daughter said it was the best Chinese food she's ever had. We ordered the Singapore noodles (AMAZING), basil beef (new favorite), salt and pepper chicken, mixed vegetables w/ chicken, bbq pork fried rice, wor wonton soup and egg rolls. 10/10 this is our new spot! Everything was packaged nicely and the portion sizes are large! 8/8/25 This is the next day after ordering takeout from uncle wangs. I just wanted to add that we ate our leftovers for dinner tonight and everything tasted just as good. The ingredients used were fresh and delicious. I'm obsessed. I have been going / eating to this place multiple times since they open and it's truly a family oriented Chinese Restaurant. The foods selections are very good and delicious. The owner Husband and Wife are very entertaining like a family member. The service are excellent and accurate according to your order. Their hours are acceptable and they are open late on Friday and Saturday because it's busy on On line orders and Karaoke with a great Sound system as well . Susan is an outstanding server!!! We drove 30 minutes in search of authentic Chinese food. It was quite a challenge considering we have been accustomed to SF restaurants. This has been the closest to authentic Chinese we've had since moving to the East Bay. Hong Kong style chow mein had a tad bit too much sauce but everything else was outstanding!!! My favorite Chinese restaurant ever now. The people there are so cool and their setting is so nice. The people are so welcoming & so kind, they have a karaoke machine and one of the guys had been singing & playing the guitar and he sings oh so beautifully, there also happened to be another woman who was eating there as well and she also just sang some songs too and she sounded wonderful. Everyone there was just so nice, and I loved the ambiance. Food was incredible too, i will be coming here multiple more times so I can try more stuff on their menu. I got the hot and sour soup and I enjoyed it so much. I also got to have some orange chicken and that too was so superb. Whole entire restaurant is amazing, I will be coming here again. I had the Mongolian Beef lunch plate and it was well worth it. I grew up in the mid west although I'm from the area and Chinese food is different from here to there. Fried rice always has veggies in it unless not requested imo. So when trying other place in the area to end up w brown rice w veggies and barley any egg I notice. This restaurant had flavor and fried rice w veggies. I can say everything thing was good on my plate and had flavor or you could say seasoned. From the beef being tender and easy to chew with a decent amount of onions to the fried rice having veggies and being fresh even the egg roll was good. Now what surprised me was the soup.
