My GF and I went here on a beautiful Sunday and ordered the Cajun Burger with fries . It's one of the best burgers I had in Washington.

Went to lunch on a weekday before noon and it wasn't busy. You order at the counter and you take a seat inside or out. It's right across the street from the beach and there are quite a few tables outside to enjoy the view. The service was sketchy. My son repeated several times no tomato, but his burger came with 2 slices of tomato. Not too hard to remedy though. He just removed them. However, somehow my order wasn't even put in, so my son had his burger and all I was delivered was my fries and had to wait for them to put the order in again for my sandwich. My son said his burger was decent. Unfortunately, he advised me to get a burger, but I ordered the fish sandwich. It was nothing more than a frozen fried square of fish dressed up with some onions and lettuce. Word to the wise, don't order the fish sandwich. The fries had pepper on them which was nice but they were pretty much run of the mill fries. Overall, I gave this place 3 stars because of the ambience and proximity to the beach. If you just want a burger and a beer at the beach, it would be a decent place to hang out by the beach. read more

I went here on a Thursday at 3. Almost nobody in the building. We ordered two burgers French fries and onion rings. Despite having all the time the cook definitely rushed with this order. The buns were straight out of the bag. I am lost as to how they made the burgers. No sear, no flavor, just plain beef. The onion rings made me the most sad. 6 dollars and the served three rings with three of the smaller middle slices of and onion that were also breaded and deep fried. So just a big ball of onion and breading that didn't cook thoroughly. read more

We stopped by for lunch after spending the morning at Alki Beach and managed to beat the lunch rush. We ordered one burger each and also a House Salad -- The Hangover Burger, The Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and The Backyard BBQ (Special). Of the burgers, my favorite was definitely the Hangover, and it was also just very aptly named ;) The sunny egg and fries inside were a nice heavy touch, but it didn't feel like too much balanced with the salad. The chicken sandwich is actually pretty spicy and has jalapeños in it, and I'm not a huge fan of BBQ but this was pretty well executed. My big complaint is about the salad -- for $7 it didn't even fill the to-go box halfway. I was expecting there to be a high density of leaves? But there wasn't. The flavors themselves are pretty standard and I would've been happy had I just gotten more. No idea how tiny their smaller serving would be if this is the full size. This is a busy spot with great views of the water and beach access! People need to be understanding when there is one person to take orders, fix drinks/milkshakes, and bring food to the table. The wait was long for our food (about 30 min) but it was super busy with limited staff. I ordered the standard burger on gluten free and my husband got the hangover burger on gluten free. Went there last night (usually very good).. but it was NOT good last night. First of all- my bill for 3 burgers and a couple of sides was $70!!! Secondly I added no tip while paying- when my receipt was printed I noticed the cashier had put over a $15 tip on there. I'm guessing she hoped I wouldn't notice. When I called it to her attention she acted totally surprised and said she'd refund it- I gave her a $5 tip... still waiting for the refund to show up on my card. Once I got home with our order (I live about 4 minutes away) we opened it to find our onion rings just a pile of soggy breading and a few strings of onion. Usually they're very good- but wow- it's was a total miss last night- it'll be a long while before I go back there. We've been hopeful that after the 4th we would def get an order. At 7:57 the nice young lady said kitchen was close and that "the owners would have our heads if we took orders this late and there's nothing we can do". There was only one other person behind me so it wasn't busy - and it's before 8pm. We are in the food industry and understand but if we were close at 8pm we normally put the order. Employees made us wait 15 mins in line when we could've gone to the Judkins for some good eats if we had the warning early on and could've left wayyyy early. On a hot summer day I physically crave a Blue Moon burger when I'm sunning over on Alki beach. I know it's a fresh burger by the organic taste of fresh beef , pork ( bacon slice ) and veggies prepared & applied to my bun.... Believe it or not, I actually check Yelp to find great food in the area I'm hanging in. Ok so some of the reviews seem to dis the salad! Okay, so you rabbits can go to Harvest Beat. For me, the meat was tasty and well seasoned. I also had a cup of their chili which was also VERY good. I even dumped some on top of my burger and made a chili burger! Yum! So if you love delicious hamburgers or chili, and taking a stroll on Alki Beach, you won't go wrong with Blue Moon Burger. And don't be dissuaded by the order line. It took 1 hour 20 minutes from order to food delivery. It turns out that there were about 60 tickets ahead of us for delivery (door dash type service). I've lived in West Seattle for years and never tried this place until last weekend. To summarize, it's expensive and underwhelming. I am a fan of both blue cheese bacon burgers and chili cheese fries, so I was happy to see they have both here. There were no pictures of the cc fries that I could find here on Yelp, and if there had been I probably wouldn't have ordered them. The fries just didn't do it for me and the plop of bagged cheese mix thrown on top and not melted sealed their fate. I also suspect the chili is made out of leftover meat that didn't make it into a burger. Would not recommend. On to the blue cheese burger (Blue Shroom): the meat is not that good and there was barely any blue cheese. It tastes like a frozen mealy pre-shaped patty from a wholesaler. The bacon was fine and buns were nice, but those shouldn't be the star of the show. Kind of reminded me of the crap they sell at Habit Burger. Maybe I'm just spoiled with all the fresh organic options around the city these days -- and I guess I'm fine with that. Eating at this place really made me appreciate places like Coastline up in the Junction. One more thing: the prices here are pretty outrageous. Two blue cheese/bacon burgers, onion rings, chili cheese fries, two beers. How much would you wager that should set you back in Seattle, including 20% tip (probably should not have, for counter service). I bet you didn't guess $75. Ouch. On the bright side, it's nice to find a place that will let your dog come inside, especially in the winter. Also, service was pretty good. As to the lettuce, I guess they couldn't bother because instead I got Spring Mix w/ arugula. The Cajun spices did not marry well with the Blue Moon sauce. The best part was the pickle, to be honest. I also got a piece of tomato, which was theoretically not one of the ingredients. ... and the place was only moderately busy! I am done with Blue Moon Alki, probably all Blue Moon establishments. I have been 5 times and last week ordered to pick up (5th time). Every time we have been something was wrong with the order. Most of the time we ate there so they fixed it, twice the cheese was missing from our cheeseburgers. This last time on a pick up, I ordered their cheeseburger since they always miss the cheese but since it doesn't come with lettuce tomato and pickle I added to my order and paid additional money for it. Not a single item was added to my order and I hate ketchup on my burger so it was not good. I called them but they do not answer the phone at all right now, left my number and the issue but somehow knew I would not hear from them. Coastline West Seattle or Pepperdock get my business from now on since BlueMoon sucks!!
