One of my favorite karaoke spots. Bartender and KJ are awesome. The crowd gets a bit much for me on Friday nights.

Really enjoyed our meal at Ludwig's Biergarten! We ordered the pork knuckle, veal schnitzel, and a…read moreGerman stout, and it was a seriously satisfying German feast. The pork knuckle was the highlight, huge portion, beautifully roasted with crispy skin on the outside and tender, juicy meat underneath. The rich sauce paired really well with it. The veal schnitzel was crispy and generously sized, topped with a creamy mushroom sauce and served with red cabbage and jam. I especially liked the contrast between the savory schnitzel and the slightly sweet, tangy cabbage. And of course, German food needs German beer. The stout was dark, smooth, creamy, and refreshing, and went perfectly with the heavier meat dishes. Great place when you're craving hearty German comfort food, big portions, and a proper beer-garden experience. Service was attentive. Ambiance was great. Come hungry!

I was craving a beer and a pretzel and sausage, so my boyfriend and I decided to finally try Ludwig's. We've passed by probably hundreds of times, but because we're not that into beer or German food, we'd never tried it. We sat down on a Sunday afternoon, and it was mostly empty, with maybe 3-4 other tables, but service was still incredibly slow. It took at least 15 minutes for someone to take our order, and another 20 to get my beer, and then even longer for our food to come out, a pretzel and a couple of sausages. I ordered a stout, which came in a tall, skinny glass rather than an appropriate glass for this style of beer. It definitely diminished the quality to serve it in this type of glass. The pretzel was dry and kind of hard. The beer cheese somehow didn't taste much like beer or cheese. And the sausages were OK, nothing particularly memorable. Two stars because the ambiance was nice, and they had live music. We definitely won't go back since Mountain View bizarrely has two other German-type beer garden restaurants that we can try if the craving hits again.

There is plenty of parking nearby, both street and parking lots. Here's what our party of 3 had on a recent visit: Appetizer - duck potstickers with hoisin dipping sauce -- wonderful, I could have ordered 2 of these plates as an entree and been happy Mains - I had the pan-seared scallops with mashed peas, spinach, capers etc. Very good -- my only complaint is it only included 3 small scallops. For the price there should have been 4 or 5. Fried chicken with mashed potatoes, sautéed kale. This was delicious, we don't often order fried chicken but this was cooked just right. My sister had the goat cheese salad as her main, it was very good with little balls of fried goat cheese. Drinks: Good wine selection, I had my usual glass of Savee Sea Sauvignon Blanc. Dessert: We split an amazing dessert, the Sticky Toffee pudding Sundae which is caramel and vanilla gelato with a toffee sauce, whipped cream, pecans-- so good! next time I"m getting one for myself.

Unfortunately, we left regretting that decision. From the start, the experience felt unwelcoming when we were seated with our 3-year-old daughter. There was no single overtly disrespectful moment, but the overall tone and repeated small interactions made us feel like we were being judged for having a child with us. At one point, when our daughter accidentally dropped her fork while playing, the reaction we received came across as frustration, which added to that feeling. We understand not every restaurant is designed for young children, but Broma presents itself as a place for friends and family. Instead, we felt like we had to constantly manage and overcorrect normal toddler behavior, which created stress and took away from what should have been a special occasion. Because of that, we didn't feel comfortable raising concerns during the meal when the server checked in--we were more focused on getting through the experience without drawing additional attention. We were also offered an off-menu item without any mention of price. The menu we were given did not list the smash burger, so when I ordered a double, I had no context for the cost. The final price was a surprise, and we would have made a different decision with that information upfront. The food itself did not match the price point. The "smash burger" was not prepared in the style typically expected, and overall the meal felt underwhelming for the cost. Lastly, the billing was confusing. The paper receipt listed "gratuity," while the digital receipt labeled the same charge as a "service charge," making it unclear whether an additional tip was expected. That lack of clarity does not align with the level of transparency expected at this price point. We don't mind paying for a great experience, especially for meaningful occasions, but this visit did not meet that standard and ultimately left us regretting our choice to celebrate here.

Cocktails here are $19-22 so you'll likely pay $8-10 out of pocket anyway so the coupon is fairly useless. It's just how they charge a premium for nice hotels. I got the Smarter Than Your Average Pear which was pretty delicious - a bit sweet yet strong. It's pisco based and I haven't had a pisco cocktail that is not a pisco sour, so this was a nice change of things. They also tack on a 20% service charge which I'm never a fan of unless they provide outstanding service, which they didn't. They refilled water a few times but not consistent enough to justify this service charge, which is why I took a star off

The Hamachi Crudo was fresh and came with a unique bubble sauce that added a fun and flavorful touch.

That said, I definitely felt a bit out of place ordering lunch at 12 PM while two older couples next to me were casually throwing back Long Island Iced Teas. Interestingly, they specifically list this on the menu as "Classic Kung Pao Chicken" so I was excited. Getting into the dish, the chicken was slightly crispy with a nice char which is always a win in my book. The vegetable lineup brought a solid crunch with water chestnuts, zucchini, and an appropriate amount of peanuts. The sauce actually had a really good texture, thankfully avoiding the thin, "wet" glaze I wasn't a fan of at places like Jade Xiang Yue. Flavor-wise, it was savory and a tad sweet. There wasn't a lot of heat to this one, so if you're looking for that spice, you won't find it here. The biggest drawback for me? There were strong whiffs of Shaoxing wine that clearly hadn't been cooked off fully. It was pretty distracting and took away from an otherwise solid plate. Verdict: Great sauce consistency and a savory profile akin to Panda Express, but held back by mild heat and an unreduced wine flavor.

There was color everywhere, and I truly loved their rainbow-pattern theme, papel-picados and mariposas displayed all throughout the restaurant. The mixed colors and patterns of chairs per table were beautiful. Their bar area looked so cute and fun to be at. They definitely had so many different types of tequila brands displayed, which makes sense, but I thought it was nice. Parking was fine, thankfully, but it was very small.
