Philly with Onion rings (substituted from fries)

Brought a couple coworkers to try out this restaurant, as I had been to this location before for a wedding. We arrived 30min after opening, and once we walked into the restaurant entrance, were greeted by the bartender (who was also our server). He was friendly, knew the menu well, and provided recommendations of what to try for the first time. We ordered: Nachos, Fish & Chips, and the Philly Cheesesteak - with the latter of the two substituting fries for onion rings. Nachos: Awesome that you could choose between two different kinds of cheese styles: shredded or nacho cheese. All the toppings + type of chip was *chef's kiss*. Would definitely come back just for this! Fish & Chips(Onion Rings): Flaky, moist, and lightly flavored fish. The onion ring substitution was great too, though I would like to try the fries next time. Philly (+ Onion Rings): I really enjoyed that the meat had some burnt edges, added an additional texture and flavor. The choice of bun was perfect, as it was soft but sturdy enough to hold all the components without becoming soggy (which I find to be an issue with most cheesesteaks). It was a great experience, especially come weekday lunch time. I look forward to coming back with more coworkers (so we can order and share more, hehe) at Garrett's Bar & Grill!

We had a great experience as an after work HH today! The bartender/I assume owner or manager from his vibe, was extremely friendly and accommodating. The chips and salsa and guac which we got to munch on were absolutely delicious. The patio furniture was updated from the previous edition of this place and I will 100% be coming back.

Very awesome place to visit!!! All the people there are super nice and the service quality was amazing. The food was super good and I would come here again.

The absolute best Philly cheesesteak, fun to yell at golfers too once you get a couple drinks in.

I've come multiple times, solo, and with friends, and I've never had a bad experience. The service has always been consistent in the way that this establishment always take care of their guests. Every guest around you is always having a good time. This is a key component that you want to experience in a restaurant setting. Masha took care of me today (and multiple other customers at the same time.) I observed and received nothing short of what is expected in a restaurant setting in Mountain View on Castro Street: Quality service, and great suggestions. I think guests sometimes overlook the novelty of being able to enjoy your time in the establishment you choose to dine at. Folks seem to be in such a rush these days. It's nice to slow down and enjoy the sunshine and hustle/bustle of the world around while enjoying a quality meal and some sunshine or indoors while letting the wind sweep your table top. P.s. if you ever have some issues with your experience--talk to the staff. Don't leave a low quality yelp review. It doesn't help anything besides, perhaps, one's self esteem.

It was a sunny day and the weather was beautiful (but slightly hot), luckily we got a table as there were reserved seats around us. For happy hour, we got their happy hour sampler which included, 2 spaetzle cheese balls, a pretzel with sweet mustard, pickled veggies, and a cheese sausage/brat wrapped in pastry dough. We also ordered some jager fries (fries with mushroom gravy/jager sauce, cheese, and green onions). The wrapped sausage was the standout! We also ordered two half liter beers - I love the selection of German beers and local beers. This being a biergarten, of course we went German. Overall, a beautiful way to spend an afternoon! I would definitely try non-happy hour menu items and try to make my way down their beer list.

The drinks/cocktails are great with an extensive selection in addition to their willingness to make things not on the menu as long as they have the ingredients. We only had "bar food" (french fries, onion rings, and my friends had wings) but the menu looked really interesting. Next time I will go back for some pizza or other things on the menu. The most unexpected part of the evening happened when they brought out a "cake" made of brownies and candle in it! My friend sneakily told them it was my birthday. The brownie cake was delicious and enough for many more than the 3 of us. Such a great place and I will be back soon!

Really good portion too. We also had a couple martinis and cognac neat. The bartender/server was very personable and very knowledgeable about liquor. Especially tequila. A nice spot to hang. Would stop by again if in the area.

It is a scan-the-code-and-order-yourself kind of place, which made ordering easy. I left a $10 tip, though the staff mostly delivers food and cleans up after you. I am doing Dry January, so I skipped the beer, but they have a nice selection and probably some wine as well. For food, I tried the Winterland salad with greens, sweet potato, winter citrus, ricotta salata, pistachio, and citrus dressing. The big surprise was the sliced kumquats. They were delightful and really made the salad. For pizza, we had the El Blanco with evoo, garlic, mozzarella, spinach, ricotta, red onion, and balsamic. I loved it. The Rocket Man had mozzarella, onion, arugula, Valley Ford Estero Gold, evoo, and lemon. I enjoyed it, though I would have liked larger pieces of potato and a bit more arugula. Still, both pizzas were very good. The atmosphere is lively, a bit noisy and chaotic, and they have a family-friendly arcade area in the back (didn't look too closely at it). Overall, I really enjoyed the food and that is why I am rounding up to 5 stars. Creative, tasty, and worth checking out.

First, I like the glass. There are stained glass windows at the front and in the ceiling that add beauty and character. It was order at the counter, seat yourself, and pickup your own food. This made it faster, which was appreciated. The chicken burgers feature thighs, not breasts, which means someone here has a brain. THANK YOU! They did had Gluten Free buns available, too. Thursday night, it was noisy but no judgement. Husband got mushroom burger, came with chips. Enjoyed. I got a bacon bbq chicken burger. Decent. Gluten Free buns tend to crumble and that's life. Came with chips. We also ordered a side of bacon and cheddar fries. I thought they were stale, sadly. Like they were made from old fries and then cheese added or created as held until ready. There is a large outdoor patio that looks dog friendly. I think we should try this place again.

This was good and 2 orders was enough to feed about 10 people with one slice each. The server did take away the leftover pieces without asking if anyone was going to eat it though. For the main dish, I got the Penne con Pollo. The dish was a bit bland in my opinion and was not really memorable. My dish was one of the last ones to come out and before it came out, a server had come around with a bowl of parmesan, offering it to those who already got my order. However, since I got my dish after, I never got the chance to ask for parmesan. For dessert, I got a slice of tiramisu, which I also thought was okay. There was uneven amounts of lady fingers (took a photo of the better side but the opposite side was mainly just cream). Probably could use a bit more dusting of cocoa powder as well. I did feel that the service felt a bit rushed and disorganized (such as forgotten utensils), though it may have been a one off day.
