Update: Wow - Wow - Wow! If I could offer Abbie and Rebecca 10 stars, I would. You will not regret hiring these fantastic women. First, construction/renovation rarely goes seamlessly, right? There are always snafoos of one kind or another. I can honestly say that our counter top design, order and installation was perfectly seamless. Absolutely positively without an issue. On top of perfection, the bonus was how proactive both ladies were. Abbie went above and beyond to help me (very design-challenged) choose a material, style and design (we cut a bar down). She was always quick to respond and never ever got annoyed with me. Rebecca called us before our slab was cut and explained that, a longer than typical bar would create a seam we might not like... she offered a different option that allowed our bar to have NO seam - we agreed to her suggestion and are so happy we did. In the entire kitchen, we have a single, nearly invisible seam (kudos to the install team!). Install was quick, on the date promised, professional and thorough. The guys cleaned up after themselves (something I can't say about everyone who worked in our home). After the job was complete, Rebecca came by and inspected everything to make sure it was to HER satisfaction - awesome! After sourcing out some options, went with them because they seemed knowledgeable, prompt and helpful in answering all my questions. Also, would prefer to support a local business versus a large chain. They let me set up an appointment to see the materials they have onsite and then scheduled an appointment to have someone come out to do measurements within the week. We went with a quartz they had onsite- which was reasonably priced and was inline with other places They were able to provide a quote same day as the measurement. Everything was scheduled and appointments were on time the the crews they sent out to to the countertops and backsplash were professional and did good work. We are really happy with the end result and the customer service and workmanship they provided during the process. I was happy with Blue Label Granite until after I paid them the deposit. After paying the deposit they did schedule my install date, and I agreed to the date they recommended. A few days later I received a call from Rebecca, one of the owners, requesting that we reschedule to an earlier date. I agreed to the reschedule, but I did warn her that I had flooring being installed on the new date. Rebecca assured me that would not be a problem. The flooring installers said that they could not work at the same time as the counter top installers. I called back and spoke to Amanda and requested that we go back to the original install date. Amanda was beyond rude and threatened to charge me hundreds of dollars to change the installation date. This was the first time I heard about a rescheduling fee. There is no mention of rescheduling fees on their website or on the paperwork included with the deposit payment. Amanda did agree to reschedule us to a later date, but she made sure I knew she was doing me a huge favor and she was very abrasive. Then I get a phone call on the original installation date telling me that they have had a cancellation and asked if I could move the date again. I declined to move the date since I had to arrange to have my carpenter present for the installation. A few days before installation I was sent an email with a document that I was required to sign prior to installation. This document did include the information about the rescheduling fee along with language that absolves the company from any responsibility for damage done to my house by their installers. This information was not on their website and was provided just a few days prior to installation. I had the choice to not sign and forgo thousands of dollars in deposit money and find a different countertop source with no notice or sign their unfair and ridiculous terms. I did sign. I was told that they would arrive "first thing in the morning" for the installation. They arrived at 2PM. The installers then were upset that they had to wait 30 minutes for my carpenter (who had been waiting for them for 6 hours) to fabricate a piece for the sink to fit properly. The installers tried to leave my house without installing the countertops, and we had to force them to stay. The installers clearly were unhappy to be doing this installation. The installers had my husband and carpenter help them carry the granite pieces into my house. The installers were not able to carry the granite (2 guys were sent to carry about 800 pounds.) We were worried that they would destroy my new floors and cabinets and obviously Blue Label was not going to pay for repairs caused by their installation. I am not happy with the cuts they made for my kitchen sink- it's not straight or even. The installers also caused significant damage to my walls and now I have to pay a painter to retexture and repaint. I told the installer that I was not happy, and he said that he didn't care and it was not his job to make me happy. I called and expressed my concerns to Rebecca and she came out to my house to inspect the work. She said that there is nothing they can do to fix the sink cut. She did not offer to replace the piece of granite with one with a proper cut. Rebecca said that the installers are not allowed to have the homeowner help carry pieces. She said that they would no longer be using these installers and indicated that the installers were just some subcontractors she hired. Rebecca apologized but did not actually fix any of my concerns. Save yourself the trouble and use a professional company. read more
