JL assured me that their experienced installers could remove my granite without any damage to my backsplash. But not only that, their price was the best of all four well known Austin companies. In fact, since I was getting Taj Reale from Stratus I saw that several companies marked up the price for the same slab that they all were getting from the same slab yard. In short, JL Cabinets did a fantastic job. The price was great and the demo and installation were top notch. I highly recommend Keyla and all the crew at JL. My wife absolutely loves the updated look of our new countertops.

Koren was super pleasant to work with all around. Fast, clear communication before the initial meeting. A lot of a great ideas during the initial meeting, for how to keep our project within budget, and where it was worth splurging or dialing back. We had requested a bid on two main projects (Kitchen and Primary Bathroom) and help deciding the scope for the remainder of our projects (Flooring, Guest Bath, Office, Patio, Etc.). We were shocked by how much of the "bonus" projects we could fit in, and yet felt very confident with Koren's insights that these were realistically within our budget. The formal quote came in REALLY fast after our meeting, and was very easy to follow and extremely fairly priced. Was very impressed with how quickly they were ready to begin the work, and the forethought of asking us if we planned to "live-in" during the remodel vs. get an AirBNB or the like. We hadn't even thought of that. Would have been very confident in moving forward with ATX Remodeling. Especially as Koren had so many examples of the type of elaborate communication and oversight we would have at every stage of the process.

The owner refuses to take responsibility in public, while sending nicer emails in private and trying to phone . . . this is /deception/ on a stick. You do not say one thing in public and in private say "I didn't really mean that." Ido is upset this negative review and would like it gone, but is unwilling to apologize or be truthful. I'll be updating all my social media reviews according. You'll notice that there are a sudden rash of bad reviews, not just from me. Do business with this guy at your risk.] I have tried to use this company twice. Both times, appointments were easy to set-up and Maria (not sure how to spell her name) was kind, helpful, and lovely. I had a minor flood and needed a company to work with my home insurance for the repairs. "Together Design" was one of four contractors I consulted, all with excellent reviews here and on Google. Avri the project manager was courteous and helpful, and was the last estimate I needed for the insurance company. I waited some weeks, but an estimate never came. I finally called the Avri's phone number on the caling card he cave me (I think I woke him up, sounded groggy at first). Avri said that my expectation for an estimate was misguided, and that he's being doing this job for quite a while. He said that the way "Together Design" works is that they only provided an estimate once I hired them. I said this is backwards, that I am to receive estimates and select the company I felt comfortable with in consultation with my adjuster. Avri stared to make excuses, none of which addressed my concern--that to consider them, I needed an estimate. I found his customer service quite rude: he kept cutting me off, he would not listen, he was defensive, made excuses, and so on. He stressed his experience, to which I responded three other contractors have already provided estimates and I was waiting for his. Avri said estimate-first is not how they do business, but he would get an estimate to my adjuster ASAP anyway. After a few days without an estimate, I went with another contractor. Maria called to follow up, and I told her my issues. She asked if I could give them another chance, I said not at the time, as time was of the essence and I needed the work to start yesterday. Disappointing, but I was ready to move on. Flash forward five months later, and I haired a crooked contractor who I am now unfortunately suing (cannot review them yet until that suit moves forward). I remembered Maria asking if I could give them another chance, so I decided to call again. Like the first time, communication was clear, easy, and Maria was very easy to work with. I was asked if I wanted to work with Avri again, and I said absolutely not given how poorly he handed the first time. Days later, however, I received a phone call and Maria said she was "calling with news." After she shared with the project managers my videos and photographs, they concluded my "scope" of my project was "not a good fit." I asked if it was "too small" or "two large" of a job. She said, "uhhhh . . . legally I can't say." I found this quite odd. She apologized, expressed wanting to help, but it was not something they are willing to do. I asked again why, and she would not say. Perhaps it was because I did /not/ want to work with Avri, but another PM. As I was about to post this review, I received a message from "Ido" who said their company /only/ takes on remodels from "start to finish." This was the first I have heard this excuse, it's certainly not mentioned in their advertising. If this were truly the case, I should have been told this upfront so I did not waste my time again. Maria asked I give them a second chance, and I did. This is a private business, and it's their right to turn down any client. Absolutely. It's also my right to report my experience. I'm trying to be careful not to be too judgement, but not being "legally" able to tell me why they wouldn't take the job the second time appears deceitful, as does "Ido's" explanation they /now/ only do start-to-finish remodels. Your milage may vary.

As we turned our focus from our home to our new, small NY apartment, we reached out to Robin for help once more. We sent her the apartment layout, pictures of a few art pieces we intended to take, and some ideas on furniture styles we like. She and her team did a wonderful job identifying pieces that not only fit the available spaces, took advantage of the surrounding views, and maintained a certain continuity and flow throughout the apartment but, more importantly, met our functional needs as well. The process of identifying pieces, confirming and adjusting them to our feedback, and eventually final selection, was handled seamlessly as we were at the same time working through the logistics of our move, including working with us remotely most of that time. She completed the design, did the ordering, and most importantly arranged delivery and set up in our new apartment ... from 1,700 miles away! Delivery and set up all occurred in one day so had a negligible impact on our work. It was all turn-key -- from laying down rugs, hanging pictures, uncrating and assembling furniture, all the way to cleaning up and hauling away the packaging materials. OH!, and did I mention the pillows? Turns out, you can never have enough pillows. Ask her, she'll tell you. We now have pillows on our couch and bed that, well, just make it feel like home.

Since moving to our current home nearly 7 years ago, we have wanted to update the countertops in our kitchen and bar areas. Since COVID hit and travel plans were put on hold indefinitely, we used part of our travel budget for our upgrades. We could not be happier. We received quotes from multiple companies and chose BLG for our project based on stone options available locally, installation schedule, price and their ability to recycle old granite removed from our home (as most companies add to landfill). We worked with Chad through the quote process and he was very prompt on revising quotes several times based on our stone choices. Once we had set our sights on Argento Quartz, we proceeded with Amanda (from down payment through Scheduling), Abbie for scheduling changes and to the walk through with Rebecca. Our project had a scheduling delay for the backsplash installation, but Amanda and Abbie rescheduled for job completion on Saturday evening. We were able to get our home back in order in time for a family gathering on Sunday afternoon. There was a bit of dust and we likely should have covered open cabinetry a bit better. But in the end, the additional cleanup was well worth the improvements seen in our updated space. We are very happy with the outcome of our project and would use BLG again for future updates. read more

I was reading the other reviews and if I didn't know better, you would think all their friends got on and wrote the reviews. Trust me, I had never met Abbie before. Premium Cabinets recommended her company for the counter tops and I am so grateful they did. All the comments are true. Abbie is amazing. She tirelessly answered all my questions. She has an eye for detail and design and I valued her opinions. I put off the kitchen remodel for years fearing the worse from all the horror stories you hear. Abbie made the whole thing painless. I couldn't be happier with the final outcome and I am still amazed at how quickly we got the counter tops installed. The crews were courteous as well and didn't leave a mess. And even though I didn't deal with Rebecca that much, I didn't want to leave her out as she is easy to deal with as well. We loved the job done by Blue Label Granite! I interacted with 4 fabricators and 4 granite yards in my initial research. Abby at Blue Label responded more quickly and consistently than any of the other fabricators. Her quotes were both more thorough and lower in price than any of the other fabricators. Also, they were able and willing to schedule the installation within a week. I was amazed. On the day of installation, the team was very professional and fast. Unfortunately, there was one major problem that came up. But Blue Label was willing to fix it the next day at their own expense. A few days after installation, we got a visit from several from the leadership team to make sure that we were happy with everything. They even added an extra bead of grout that we requested. We were very happy with all aspects of our interactions with Blue Label Granite and recommend this company to others as a result. read more

Good, cheap and fast. My father told me you could usually get two of those but never three. My father was wrong. I am not easily impressed but I have to hand it to these ladies. Abbie, measured on Wednesday and installed on the following Thursday. I still can't believe it. I thought granite took weeks or months. There was absolutely nothing I could complain about. I bought white quartzite. It was perfect. They did the counter, the bar and the backsplash for $2800!. Granted, this was a small condo but the price was much lower than expected. I was getting this condo ready to rent. Days after Blue Label was done and paid Abbie came back by to make sure we were happy. And she brought me a cutting board she had made from the sink cut out. Wow, these guys rock! We were doing a major kitchen remodel and Abbie came out to meet with us and realized that the samples she brought out weren't exactly what we were looking for so she immediately suggest heading to the granite yards so we could see all our options. She spent the afternoon with us walking the yards to find exactly what we were looking for. The crew that came out to install were very professional and thorough, but also very considerate to clean up after themselves (which we found lacking in a lot of the contractors we used for the remodel). I work for a construction company in town and have used Blue Label Granite for several jobs, including a pretty complicated bar on Congress (not that complicated for them though lol). Abbie and Rebecca were very easy to work with and very responsive. Pedro is obviously very experienced in his trade and I haven't seen that quality work in awhile. They kept the jobsites tidy throughout the entire time they were working. They have helped with several of our projects and the quality of work is on point. They are very accommodating with scheduling and have great advice when in a pinch. Not to mention their bids always come in lower than anyone in town. I would recommend them to anyone and I don't think it would be smart for me to go anywhere else. read more

Hands down if you are looking for someone to put in beautiful granite, stop looking because you have found them. I have used them for two houses this year. The first house I was selling and just wanted to spruce it up and then when I moved into my new house it didn't have any granite. I just want to commend Abbie and her crew for an incredible FANTASTIC job with our kitchen counter tops... We had remodeled our kitchen and everything Abbie promised was done.. It is so hard to find such quality workmanship and when she said it was to be done, it was accomplished within that time! We were happy that they were willing to only replace the both the countertops and the backsplash in our kitchen whereas other companies contracted out the backsplash. They knocked our project out in 4 days and did a great job. I actually couldn't wait to review LHG once the project wrapped because we were so impressed with their work. Huge shout out to Oliver and the team for keeping things on track and making sure no shortcuts were taken). I'd see Oliver sweeping our driveway after each day and tidying up the garage that they were working from. It's that attention to detail that sets them apart! Salem came at the end of the project as another set of eyes. She expects perfection and caught things I wouldn't notice. Highly recommend working with this team -- you're not only working with pros, but really good people!

I hired Eliab of The Good Tile to remove our 90s bleh kitchen floor tile, remove our backsplash…read moretile, and install over 300 square feet of new flooring tile plus new backsplash, and extensive accent wall tiling in the backsplash tile. My new floor tile has a pattern, and the backsplash tiles were 2.4" x 8" ceramic hand glaze ceramic tiles, and so neither would be easy to install unless the tile installer was very skilled. I thought the review photos on Yelp showed Eliab already has an extensive body of work done well, and I loved that he specializes in tile so I knew that he should be very competent at it. And he and his guys Salvi and Rafael were excellent! They worked hard and did very precise work. That was a ton of cuts and joints to line up perfectly with all that subway tile, and it looks wonderful. The cuts around light switches and power receptacles: also precise. He was as good as his word about showing up, doing it right, and cleaning up as they went. He earned my trust, was good to work with, and I would happily hire him again. I definitely recommend! I will post pictures for now as is - but keep in mind the construction is still going on so they will not look as great as they should. I'll try to remember to update our photos when the remodel is truly done.

You keep trying to reduce this to a "misunderstanding" about the plumber, but that is not what happened. You recommended and coordinated the plumber as part of the project, and the plumber stated that you already knew the correct rate. Yet I was quoted a lower amount up front, which made the situation feel like a bait-and-switch once the job was already underway. You cannot bring someone into the project, benefit from the job, and then act like his pricing and your communication had nothing to do with you. Your claim that you did not leave anything unfinished is also contradicted by the photos I uploaded. The kitchen tile work was not completed. That is not an opinion. That is visible in the photos. Your latest claim that you "only charged for what was carried out" is also misleading. I paid for the majority of the kitchen tile work, and the kitchen was still left unfinished. Saying you did not charge for the uncompleted portion does not erase the fact that I paid substantial money toward a job that you did not complete, then had to hire another contractor to finish. The most serious issue is that you were supposed to return the following week to finish the tile work and dispose of the tub. I texted you to confirm the schedule and materials. You did not return my calls. Then you did not show up. That is not a misunderstanding. That is a no-call/no-show. A professional business owner does not ignore a customer, fail to show up, leave visible unfinished work, and then publicly try to rewrite the facts. This was a horrendous experience involving misleading pricing, unfinished work, ignored calls, a no-show, and added expense. Homeowners should look closely at the photos and be extremely careful before allowing The Good Tile into their home or paying them for a project.
