We got a margarita pizza and a chicken pesto Pizza. Both had fresh mozzarella. They were not greasy. They were not drippy. The crust was perfect. I don't know how they pulled that off, but the crust still had a perfect crunch while holding all the toppings without getting soggy. Everything tasted fresh and the balance of flavors was spot on. Places like Sally's Apizza and Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana get a lot of the spotlight, but if Pizza by Rocco had a prime time location and more exposure, I honestly think they'd be competing in the same conversation. Before posting this, I even emailed the owner directly to give him an opportunity to address my concerns. I never received a response, which tells me just about everything I need to know about how this business values its customers. I placed an online order for a sandwich and a lemonade. When I arrived to pick it up, I was told they didn't have lemonade and was offered a fountain soda instead. I knew the soda was cheaper, but no one offered to refund the difference. I was in a hurry, so I decided it wasn't worth making an issue over a dollar, even though $3.50 for a small fountain soda is already ridiculous. When I got back to my office, I received a notification that my card had been charged $27. Looking more closely at my order, I discovered that a $3.30 tip had been automatically added. A tip? For what, exactly? I placed the order myself online. I drove to the restaurant. I walked inside and picked up my own food. The only interaction I had with an employee was being told they didn't have what I'd already paid for, without even offering to refund the price difference. I have absolutely no problem tipping for service, but automatically adding a tip to an online pickup order without making it clear to the customer is dishonest. Tips should be earned and freely given, not quietly added to someone's bill. Twenty-seven dollars for a sandwich and a small fountain Coke is absurd. But frankly, the money isn't even the biggest issue. It's the principle. What makes this experience even more disappointing is the owner's complete lack of response. I made an effort to resolve this privately before leaving a public review. Apparently, keeping customers happy isn't a priority. Salem and the surrounding area have plenty of excellent places to eat, and there's absolutely no reason to support a business that treats customers this way. I won't be returning, and I'll certainly be sharing my experience with others. Nothing leaves a worse taste in your mouth than dishonesty.

Greek salad was also pretty good. Only downside is everything is served with disposable forks. Salad came in a plastic clamshell even though we ate in. Beers were great and for $7 they felt like a deal! Will definitely be back when in the area. Especially for the daily lunch special! 2 slices and a beer for $12.
