What we got: Margarita pizza (large) Greek salad Daylight Golden Ale Battle Axe IPA Pizza was great! Terrific crust and very saucy. Appreciated all the basil on the margarita. Greek salad was also pretty good. Only downside is everything is served with disposable forks. Salad came in a plastic clamshell even though we ate in. Beers were great and for $7 they felt like a deal! Will definitely be back when in the area. Especially for the daily lunch special! 2 slices and a beer for $12. read more

We came in around 11:40 a.m. on a Sunday. There was only one worker running both the bar and dining area, with roughly eight other people in the restaurant. We were told to sit anywhere and that he'd be with us shortly. After sitting for about 10 minutes with no menus, we pulled up the menu online so we could be ready to order. Another 15 minutes passed with no acknowledgment. During that time, the server was mostly chatting with people at the bar and helping another couple in the dining area. We eventually got up to ask if we could order, and he told us he'd be right over, but after another 10 minutes, nothing changed. At that point, we got up and left. This was honestly really disappointing, especially because we love the food here. The lack of attention and long wait without even basic service made for a frustrating experience. read more

Had lunch at Kelsen Brewery yesterday with a few friends. I live nearby and go to Kelsen frequently. My sister was visiting and was intrigued by the Cultivated Burger Pizza. This pizza is very unusual but very delicious! It has a garlic sauce base with hamburger, pickles, chips and ranch dressing. The crust is perfect. So good! We also got a Jumbo Pretzel that comes with cinnamon butter and pub mustard. You can add pub cheese for $3. The pretzel came out warm and is one of the best pretzels I've ever had. I had a Paradigm Brown Ale-my favorite Kelsen brew. And, for $14 was able to take the nice mug home, too! Our server was very friendly, helpful & attentive. The tap room is very nice with plenty of bar seating. There are high & low tables that seat 2-4 people. It wasn't too busy, so we were able to put 2 tables together to accommodate our party of six. Clean bathrooms and plenty of parking. Recommended. read more

This posting is for the new Londonderry location of Kelsen Brewing Company. Kelsen Brewing moved to Londonderry from Derry recently due to their old building being slated for demolition due to the construction of the I-93 Exit 4A connector road. Located in the former Talia's space at Londonderry Commons, this brewpub is cozy with seating up at the U-shaped bar with around 20 beers on tap mostly their own brews and others too. There is sectioned table seating surrounding the bar area and yhere are 6 flats screen TVs on the walls. However, there is currently no outside seating like at the old Derry location. The food menu offers a few appetizers, salads and specialty pizzas (10" and 16"). I've heard mostly great things about their pizzas so I decided to pop in at Kelsen Brewing in Londonderry for pizza takeout. I ordered a 16" Large Cultivate Burger Pizza ($20 plus tax) at the bar to go. The pizza was ready to go in 15 minutes. This pizza had a white garlic sauce base, marinated hamburger pieces, pickles, crushed onion potato chips, and a ranch drizzle on top of a crisp thin pizza crust which had a soft moist texture. The pizza was hot and very salty to eat, a great pizza to go with a cold beer on a Friday night, lol. I would definitely stop in again for a cold beer and food. read more

First and last time eating here. Paper plates, plastic utensils and salad served in a take out plastic container. My sons chicken fingers were pink/cool/raw in the center. The waitress constantly came back to the table to "confirm" what we ordered. My wife ordered a small cheese pizza with buffalo chicken topping and they made a buffalo chicken pizza (all buffalo sauce in place of red sauce). We came here at noon on a Monday and were initially taken aback because it was so quiet inside and one employee out front. Service was great and drinks and food came quickly. They usually have just one IPA (flagship Battle Axe) on tap but it is fabulous. Sometimes they have other IPAs, Blood Orange for instance, excellent too. Stopped here with my dad this past Sunday. They had 10-15 picnic tables out front, and a few tables inside. A pretty good selection of craft beer. We both had 2 pints of the Spacetown light lager. If you don't like the heavy beers, this one is for you. We ordered a large Xtra cheese pizza as well. It was the best pizza I've had in a long time. Great selection of pizza although we didn't have time for pizza. We came for the beer. They have a good selection with some flavors that are tasty and some that we weren't very fond of. The Ethereal Sour was spot on and so delicious, the Seascape with its Peruvian Coffee notes went down the sink. My bad, I should have used my own better judgment and realized that I wouldn't like grapefruit coffee with a hint of sea salt. Had fun sitting outside here for almost 3 hours the other night in their comfy chairs. Outdoors is dog friendly too but not inside. Indoors they also have a bar, and tons of seating too. Being a pizza "snob" who grew up on the Jersey shore in the 60s, 70s and 80s, I always hunt for the best pizza wherever I am (now a resident of NH for the past 30 years). I had the opportunity to unexpectedly meet Matt, the owner of Kelsen's, at another local establishment a few weeks ago. I was shocked to find out that he had a place which was known for their pizza, and I had no idea it existed! Well, my first visit did not disappoint ... the sauce, the thin hand-tossed crust and the sauce-to-cheese ratio combined to produce one of the best pizzas I have had in years. The bar/restaurant is inviting and relaxed, with an equally great atmosphere and friendly service. And to complete the experience, they offer a really nice selection of craft beers to please any palate. Kelsen's is a local gem, and i cannot wait to explore the other menu items aside from their pizza selections. Thanks Matt, for providing such a wonderful place to eat and relax.
