From the beginning, he was upfront that sometimes a company and a customer just aren't the right fit, and that he also has a business and his employees to protect. We had actually been over-treating the pool ourselves, and it had gotten out of balance. His email reports are really helpful, but they also make it obvious when he hasn't shown up for a month and you're still being billed. Eventually four weeks went by where we were billed and it was clear no one had serviced our pool. He called it a scheduling hiccup in the system. For a long time I told him I suspected a leak. Our water line was always low and we were constantly refilling, even when it wasn't hot. The hot tub was always green and never clear. He never seemed to scrub it, just added more chemicals. I understand he's not a pool repair guy, but he knows the equipment better than we do, and we kept saying, "Please let us know if there's something we need to do." He replaced parts that didn't solve the problem and billed us for them anyway. Things improved for a while. Then the hot tub went green again, and he said he needed to switch the valves around. After that, we suddenly started losing a ton of water. I told him I was worried, and he said he'd come check it out, but with no date or time, and he often didn't show when he said he would. That was the last straw. When I'd asked if there was anything we needed to do after his visit, he said no, just take it out of service mode. We let Gabe go and hired a referred pool service, who identified the leak within 15 minutes. It turned out the valve pipes had been switched, and we were pouring water into our backyard. $1,100 water bill later, with a quick pipe fix, our pool issues are solved after 2 1/2 years. I just want people to know the five-star service doesn't seem to be consistent across clients.

He could hear the stress in my voice and offered to come over, outside of business hours, to put our minds at ease. When he showed up, he was kind, prepared, informative, respectful, and reassuring. Not only did he address our current concern, he brought something else to our attention that needed service. We paid over $500 for a pool inspection and the inspector didn't indicate that this unexpected expense would be in our future. Not only did he express concern, he was able to back his claims. He said our pool filter cartridges needed to be replaced and we asked "how do you know?" He said the filtration system has a louder than normal, high pitched sound, that will go away when the cartridges are replaced. My husband and I were like ehhhh and he offered to show us. In his regular clothes, he manually opened the filter and pulled out one of the cartridges. They were filthy! Discolored and beyond their usable age. He said he could be back in two days to replace them. We decided to hire him for the job. He was prompt, swift, and did not try to upsell us on a high end filter that has the same lifespan as the generic ones. I asked him about other repairs that may be needed and he simply said "these are all nonissues, just relax and enjoy your pool." We appreciate his honesty, kindness, and willingness to bring issues to our attention that we would have otherwise not been privy too. I 1000000% recommend him for pool repairs.
