We received moved to Ohio from El Paso Tx, and have been on the hunt for some good Queso Birria like we had in Texas. This was our 3rd time trying Birria and this place hit the spot, and has been the closest to what we had back in El Paso! The restaurant is very vibrant and I loved the artwork! Their was plenty seating and bar space as well. Or server was very friendly and helpful with the menu. - for my gluten free friends - The tortilla chips at this restaurant are not safe because they are fried with foods containing gluten. But I was told that the queso cheese dip was gluten-free, and they offer corn tortillas.

My wife and I were in Canton, Ohio, for the Women's Football Alliance Championship game (spoiler alert, we won!). On our first night in Canton, we went to Blue Habanero for what the reviews said was delicious food, and we were not disappointed. In the evening, the lights in the restaurant make it as though you are in a beautiful, blue underwater world. The paintings are stunning and the décor hanging from the ceilings is equally as beautiful. The aroma of food overwhelms your senses as soon as you walk in and the servers were attentive and kind.   We ordered the Trio Sampler and I got the Tacos La Paz with fried fish and added my own cotija cheese. My wife ordered the Burrito Azteca and while I did not try it - they said it was very good, an 8.5/10.   Trio Sampler 8/10 - The chips were warm and had good flavor on their own, the queso was good, the salsa was fresh, and so was the guacamole. I would consider this to be the standard when going to any authentic restaurant - there weren't any overly exciting flavors. Tacos La Paz 9/10 - These tacos were filling and delicious. I really enjoyed the freshness of the cabbage and pico against the crunch of the fish along with the chipotle sauce. The rice was also so damn good.

Holy crap! The Tacos al Pastor here is phenomenal! Just the right about of spice. The salsa is very good. So many "Mexican" restaurants use water-downed salsa...but not Blue Habanero! Their salsa is just the right consistency. I'll definitely be back.

Good service and the food was great as well. We really enjoyed what we got and would get again when we come back! The margs are overpriced and weak on the alcohol though. Ambiance was above average.

Five Jiu Jitsu brethren came in on a Friday evening and got right in. The service was quick and the food was brought out within 12-15 minutes of ordering. Clean bathrooms, which is always a positive. The food was great! Was going to take a pic of the menu, but the menu is simply too expansive. Plenty to choose from. I had the corner tacos with white cilantro rice and it was perfect. The place was pretty busy and also plenty vibey. They put a little more effort than your typical Mexican restaurant does as far as the decor of the restaurant. Will be back for sure.

Second time here and really enjoy the quality of food. One of my favorite bites this year has been their chorizo Fireballs which include minced chorizo, jalapeno, and cream cheese before being deep fried with a chipotle ranch dipping sauce. Enjoy the chili relleno as well. My only minor pet peeve is when the server tries to take the order from memory, relays it wrong, then appears frustrated that 2 of us are each ordering combo meals. We had to reorder with his digital machine as though we were an inconvenience

We were very excited to try this place as the menu seemed right up my alley. Atmosphere: It is a very cute place on the inside. Our server was very very nice and sweet. She took our drink orders and our appetizer order (which was just queso) and a nice young man brought our dip and margaritas. My margarita on the rocks was pretty good. Nothing to write home about but not too bad. My partner's frozen margarita was terrible she said. I did not volunteer to try it. Food: I wanted to make sure I knew what I was getting because some places make their taquitos differently. I asked if the taquitos came with melted cheese on top or if I needed to get chimichangas. After trying to rephrase my question, I thought I had gotten my answers. We placed our orders (and sorry about no pictures of the food, I was busy getting my order corrected). My food came and it was absolutely zero percent of what I ordered or what the waitress and I discussed I was looking for. My partner got fajitas and she said they were good. But I sat there with no food while she was eating away. My corrected food came back and although it had the fillings and toppings I originally wanted, the chicken in the taquitos/chimichangas was just weird... it was almost like BBQ pulled chicken. It was just not good at all. Overall: Needless to say, I ended up not eating and getting fast food on the way home. Perhaps I should have tried their street tacos since that seems to be what they are known for but after sending it back once, I was too embarrassed to complain but it was just really disappointing.

Very vibrant and decorated so nice inside. The server was very nice and gave a great recommendation on the Watermelon Habanero Margarita. The right amount of sweet heat! Appetizers came out fast but the meal itself was slow to come out. The food was delicious and hot! If we lived here we would definitely come back and get that watermelon habanero margarita!!

Let me start by saying YUM. Ok wifey and I loved this place. The chips with the queso were hot, fresh, and tasted amazing. I had the short rib tacos and I donno if the photo will do it justice. They were packed with meat. Wifey had the quesadillas and enjoyed them. Everything came out very fast as well. The staff are very friendly and attentive. We will for sure be back a again and again.

The line from the counter stretched all the way back to the door, which gave us plenty of time to people watch and admire the beautiful space after picking our drinks. The baristas were friendly and welcoming. The line was moving slowly - a combination of people asking questions and an ordering process that seems a little inefficient (we noticed they were tracking available pastries on Post-It notes). Our drinks were available quickly, and they were delightful. I had the spiced orange chai with oatmilk and my husband had a gingerbread latte. My chai was sweeter than I would prefer, but now I know that for next time. Everything in the pastry case looked incredible. We passed this time because we had finished breakfast. I'd be interested in coming back in the evening to try some of the cocktails. I think they have some kinks to work out when they're busy; overall, it was a good experience. I had never really heard much about the food, but I found it to be pretty delicious. It's not a cheap dinner by any stretch and this is more of a special-occasion type of venue. It was my birthday and though I don't really like to celebrate (or admit to) my birthday anymore, it was a nice place to try. My family, party of six, was seated in a room upstairs by ourselves. Cool little private dining alcove, painted with dark walls and sexy, almost what I would consider Halloweenesque, decor. Yessss, now they are singing my SONG. Service was good. Don't expect to get bread or any added extras with your meal. Pretty straightforward. We did try a couple of their specialty cocktails. The "Black Moon Rising" cocktail was a fun novelty, served in a skull-shaped mug, but it was a little sweet for my taste. The "Fashionably Late" was solid (similar to an old fashioned). Many things on the menu did seem to have a degree of spiciness, and it is not really a place that children would find something that they love. My son had the portobello mushrooms, which were okayyyyy, but very garlicky and peppery for a five year old's taste. I had the lemon shrimp and rice, which was just delicious. I loved it. My son liked that too and I think he probably would have enjoyed another order of that more than what he ordered. The French onion soup was hearty and good. Someone else in our party had the steak, which I tasted (yum) and the mahi mahi, which I did not get to taste, so it MUST have been good. Slice of HUGE birthday cake for dessert. Pro tip: don't order coffee with dessert. The coffee is weak and not good for $4.50 a cup. Anyhow, overall, I think it was a good dining experience, although I might make some different choices next time. Oh, and it IS allegedly haunted, but the hostess, nor the server know the details of the stories. Something about a dentist and a murder and another story about a little girl. My curiousity is piqued. Maybe a year or two ago I had reached out via email about hosting an event here for my tour company and I think my clientele would enjoy the stories and the history behind it all! Itching for more.....

The server who greeted us was warm and welcoming and the young lady who took care of was polite. She used a piece of paper to go over the small plate specials as there were more on her list than on the menu. Glasses of water arrived with quickness and our beverages came shortly thereafter. My pint of Blue Moon came with a pour about an inch and a quarter from the top and below temperature. I find that when you see over 8 handles from one horizontal tower you lose temperature control on the first pour. We started off with some small plates: Spanakopita Eggrolls- which included your traditional flavor and a wonton wrapper and they were okay. The Special Small Plates- Honey Walnut Shrimp arrived with Brussel Sprouts which weren't advertised but we were okay with. This sweet dish was very not sugar friendly and the shrimp lacked crispness. In fact the coating was so soggy that the batter just came off when picking it up. The pricey Vietnamese shrimp and crab cakes (Small Pates) were also average. You definitely picked up on the amount of filler at first bite and also noticed that the center was not at temperature and too creamy. Our main dishes showed and my wife opted for the Special Main: Cod, but she thought it was so so especially at the price charged. My Pork Chop was cooked to my requested temperature and needed some help with the salt and pepper shaker. The accompanying pasta was very firm and had enough Olive Oil on the plate to to help out the pasta. The green beans were fine. There was no dessert for us, but our server used her trusty paper to give us the run down on their desserts. I boxed up my remaining leftovers and paid the check. Be advised that everyone is now charging a percentage for using a credit card, so be advised as it is listed at the very bottom of their menu.

This was our second time at good fortune and we were just a pleased as we were the first time. There are two types of restaurants, some that feel they have to go over the top on decor and atmosphere to make up for the fact that their food is mediocre and others that let there food speak for itself. Good fortune is the latter. It definitely has a fun retro vibe, but the cocktails and food are what you come for. First, let's discuss their old fashioned. It is the perfect blend of smooth and sweet. Also- their ice cubes are top notch. If you're thinking this doesn't make a difference in a drink, think again. They are clear as glass and do not melt quickly, so you can enjoy your drink without it getting watered down as you sip. This was the second time we ordered the party eggs and they were incredible. When they brought them out I felt myself become a little disappointed when I saw they were not a traditional deviled egg like they had been in the past. But as soon as I took a bite I quickly recanted that notion and was pleasantly surprised. The eggs were pickled perfection with a nice touch of spice and crunch on top. The asparagus was everything. Tender with lightly crisped florets, topped with a beautifully seasoned harissa and herb dressing. This creative approach to a traditional vegetable dish made it a stand out. The loaded potatoes, y'all! A great blend of hearty, starchy and creamy. The creme fraiche added class and sophistication to this crowd pleasing dish. Bread Pudding- Roman (head chef of good fortune) told us to think of it as the offspring of bread pudding and monkey bread. He wasn't wrong. It was the custardy goodness that you want from bread pudding topped with the salty, carmely goodness of monkey bread, served a la mode. It got better with every single bite as the icecream begin to melt into the dish. All this to say, GO HERE!!!! The staff is incredibly kind and personable. And the food is exactly what this area needs. It feels nostalgic but inventive at the same time. I can't wait to go back to try their next seasonal menu. Way to go good fortune.
