Stopped in after wanting to try a New Mexican restaurant. We found this restaurant on Tik Tok. Loved the vibes just walking into this restaurant. Super clean and amazing staff. Everyone was very kind to us. Our waiter took good care of us and made us feel welcomed. You get your food via robot machine which gave us a laugh. Food was amazing. We ordered way too much and had to take plenty home. Loved the time we had. Food needs a stronger flavor but i am definitely coming back.

Good food but expensive for the area. Could see grease dripping from there kitchen hood vents from our table.

    Taco Tuesday 5 tacos

I stopped in here for an early lunch on a Taco Tuesday at 11:15. There was one other table occupied by two people. I was greeted politely and seated quickly. I ordered a sweet tea and five beef tacos. I got chips and salsa with the beverage and the food soon followed. The place seemed very clean and the employees seemed very helpful. It is the Tuesday $1 taco order and most place keep them a little light but the severe lack of meat in these caused me to reflect on the possibility that this was a vegan order. The flavor was good just light on meat. The other issue was an employee using a very large shop vac to clean ceiling vents in the dining room. Management may want to have this done before opening. Eventually a patron at another table got him to stop. By the time I left at noon there were six table with customers. Ok it a a month or two later and I came back in for Taco Tuesday. Same great service, clean restaurant and the same order. This time the tacos were full and there was a generous amount of meat in the shells. This was the best Taco Tuesday in town so far. Thank you!

Great food and prices. Atmosphere is a little different than what you might expect but well worth the trip.

The first menu had splashes of food inside, so we traded it out for a different menu - same thing. Eventually we realized that the worker behind the desk was supposed to be cleaning the menus (we took the menus from the clean pile), but she was distracted on her phone instead. The staff seated us fairly quickly - within the allotted wait time. We had plans afterwards, so we placed our order as soon as the waitress came to the table. Our chips and salsa were delicious and were refilled while we waited...and waited...and waited. It was easily over an hour before our food came out. The chicken fajitas were good - nice size portion. They came with a side of rice, sour cream and shredded cheese. They were lacking pico de gallo and shredded lettuce toppings which are pretty standard. Refried beans and/or black beans are usually also served at other Mexican restaurants but were missing here. My husband ordered a chicken dish. He said the taste was fine - not something he would re-order though. Overall Good chips and salsa Fajitas were tasty Restaurant floor was exceptionally sticky Menus were kinda gross Wait time on food was exceptionally long (the restaurant was busy but not every table was filled - which was strange since there was a wait list, but maybe they didn't have the staff available.) With other Mexican restaurant choices available locally, this isn't a restaurant we would revisit.

I ordered the Carnitas Dinner (roast pork) which I normally absolutely love in other area Mexican restaurants. As I was eating my pork...I kept thinking, this looks and tastes like something that I've had in the past (but not the roast pork that I was used to); and I wasn't totally sure that it was fresh . I finally realized that it was more like "City Chicken". For those of you that don't know, City Chicken is an inexpensive cut of pork...sometimes passed off as chicken kabobs, I believe. Not what I expected at all. The salsa wasn't too bad, actually maybe the best part of the meal...but the chips were stale. My son had chile relleno, and it looked like someone sat on it. And the other dinner ordered was fish tacos...nothing to speak about here. I will not return here...there are many other far superior Mexican choices in the area.

He had a margarita which was about the same mix at most of your franchise-type restaurants. I had sangria and it was good. The salsa was good and chips fresh and warm. The service was very good - we had very pleasant waitress/bartender and she worked the floor alone. It was not very busy but it was Tuesday after Memorial Day. We will definitely go again and I hope that business will pick up for this local small business. They do need a little help with the atmosphere, the old Italian atmosphere from the previous restaurant needs to go away. They have opened it up a little but they need to go further when they have the opportunity. I recommend you try them out!

Went to El Galeron the other night for dinner with friends. I used to love this place but moved…read moreaway and just got back. I don't 'know what happened in the last two years but the results are tragic. I'll start with the chips and salsa. The chips are pre-packgaged and stale. Not the fresh chips I remember. They are just heavy in your stomach. The salsa was still decent. I ordered the enchilada place, two beef enchiladas rice and beans. The rice and beans on point. Beans are still slow-simmered and yummy. The rice is light, fluffy and flavorful. However my enchiladas were another story. The meat was bland. There were no onions or spices in the ground beef. It was just boiled meat wrapped in a tortilla. The sauce it was downright awful. It was gelatinous and sweet. Enchilada sauce is not supposed to be sweet but spicy blend of saucy deliciousness. It was not. I thought maybe it was just me, so I made other people at the table try it. You know "here this tastes awful try it" routine. They all agreed, no bueno. I couldn't even eat it. Everyone kept telling me to tell the waitress but I felt bad. I mean its not their fault I don't like it. So I ate all my beans, rice and a ton of the mediocre chips and salsa. When the waitress noticed I did not eat my enchiladas she asked why. I told her I didn't like the sauce, so she offered me anything else that I wanted no charge. I got the enchiladas suizas (chicken enchiladas with green chili sauce) to go. Ate them the next day for lunch and they were delicious, flavorful and good. Service still amazing! Drinks were always full. Waitress was fun and nice. We used to go in there so often she remembered us. I was going to give them two stars but because of the service and free meal I gave them 3. Not sure if the rest of the food but they want to make sure you're happy.

I ate at about 100 of them, from the SF Valley to San Diego, and a few in Mexico, too. So, I consider myself a great critic of Mexican food. El Galeron is my new favorite in Ohio. You Must try the Burrito Galeron with the grilled, marinated, chicken. California style, with the beans, rice, guacamole, pico de gallo, all wrapped inside and smothered with a white cheese sauce. Ask for the hot salsa if you're so inclined, it is delish. It's not so hot that it disguises the flavors. The service is always superb and there is a lot of seating, so no waiting. I used to eat at El Campesino, which is good, but now I drive out of my way to El Galeron. I've eaten about 5 different dishes, plus the standard combo meals. Haven't tried the seafood yet, but my friend had the shrimp chimichangas, and she loved it..
