The family owned businesses has a lot of pride in their restaurant. The daily specials are affordable and delicious. I think I was there on a SAT and Margaritas were only $3. I posted pictures on my website, and people from other states jaws dropped. People from Atlanta and California were jealous. I had the El rey, juicy burrito. I take half of it home, it's so big. I go for the lunch specials so I see many seniors at that time. There's always plenty of free parking. I will go back.

Amazing authentic food! amazing service! One of the best Mexican places around ;) highly recommended

This place is everything you ever wanted in a Mexican restaurant. Im a life long El Campesino fan however I found my new spot. Food is spot on, very fast and the margs are on point. The waiters/waitresses are so professional and almost give you too much service. The place is managed by one of the best managers ever. Very good/clean place. I didn't believe it could be this good but I was wrong!

This is Agovera's take on a chile relleno - different and delicious!

New to the area, we went to Agovera for a late lunch yesterday. We were quite pleasantly surprised! The restaurant is small and nicely decorated, and everything was spotless. No hostess so we picked a booth, and almost immediately a waiter came to bring us menus and get our drink orders. Drinks came back in less than 5 minutes along with chips and salsa. The chips were okay, as was the salsa - nothing to write home about but definitely good. I ordered a la carte to try my personal favorites: a beef taco, chile relleno and borracho bean soup. The taco was good - a typical Tex-Mex taco in a pre-formed shell. The borracho beans were delicious and if you're a meat-lover I highly recommend them. (Personally, I love pinto beans and there weren't enough beans in the soup for me, but the flavor was divine.). The chile relleno was unlike any I've ever had. It was simply a roasted and peeled poblano stuffed with queso fresco, then smothered in a pleasantly tart tomatillo sauce. YUMMM!!! I can't wait to go back for this low-carb treat - Better Half and I raved about those chile rellenos the rest of the day (and having grown up in New Mexico we are definitely relleno snobs). All the food was deliciously paired with a mango margarita (for me) and a Coronarita for Better Half. We're looking forward to our next visit and recommend Agovera to anyone looking for good Tex-Mex with interesting (and tasty!) twists.

Enormous, delicious veggie quesadilla. Baby hand for scale

This was an unexpected find! Mexican restaurant in Massillon, in a mostly empty strip mall with Home Depot. Everything was great! The service was warm and attentive and the food came out quick. Obligatory chips and salsa come with an additional chip dip that we didn't care for (mayonnaise-y) but was a super unique touch. The queso fundido is awesome- the sausage in it is fantastic. The thin and crispy chips weren't quite up to the task of scooping such a thick and chunky queso but they are so light and delicious I don't want them to change. Little touches make it a cut above your average Mexican American place. Veggies in the rice, garlicky guacamole salad, extra melty cheese in the veggie quesadilla. The chile relleno was huge and awesome, stuffed with chicken and cheese. Great kids menu, more choices than I've probably seen in any restaurant, pretty much ever. It's out of the way for us but we will definitely be back!

Twice I have been to this restaurant and both times my expectations have been far exceeded. Before I felt that predominantly all Mexican restaurants taste about the same, but I felt that El Campesinos was the best in Massillon. Now I believe that this restaurant is by far better. We got a pitcher of Patron margaritas to begin that were absolutely delicious, but what sets this place truly apart from the rest is the food. The taco and enchilada were seasoned unlike anywhere else I have ever had. I feel as though any description I could give would not do this restaurant justice, but I give it my highest recommendation.

The food is definitely not seasoned like Mexican food. Service was horrible. Ask for refills and never got them.

Excellent food. Great service. Just a bit pricey. I ordered Seafood enchiladas which was several $$$ more than similar meal at El Rincon.

Traveling to Pa, I had to stop in Massillon to charge my EV. So naturally I wanted to see what the…read morearea offers food wise. The Nook was highly recommended so off we go. I came about noon and it was fairly busy but I love sitting at the bar which was empty. The lady makes a few suggestions since they are primarily a smokehouse, and I decide on a trio of Smoked sliders- brisket, chicken and pork. Add to that Sauerkraut balls with dill sauce and Sweet potato cubes with a cinnamon butter. Everything comes out in a reasonable amount of time and OMG! The sliders are served on Potato rolls (YUM) and she gives me one of each BBQ sauce (regular, sweet and spicy). The brisket was hands down the best I've had, and that's comparing it to the best BBQ place I visited in Houston TX. Juicy, Smokey and just downright flavor filled. I polished off the brisket and tried the Sauerkraut balls next. Not sure what all is in them but I was loving it. The dill sauce to dip was a bonus. The pulled pork and chicken sliders were amazing and had the right amount of smoke, not overpowering. The baked Sweet Potato cubes were soft and also flavorful. This was really a great choice all the way around. I even had a Lemon Shandy instead of my usual IPA. This was a lot of food. The sliders were deceptively filling. I was down to 2 Sauerkraut balls and had to stop for fear of food induced coma. I still had 1 1/2 hours to my destination. This is one of those places that you hope to find when traveling. The trifecta- great food, awesome service, all at a fair price! $33 plus tip for a lot of food. Highly recommend The Nook!!

It was a Saturday night, so to be fair, it was very busy in there. We felt lucky to get a table without a wait. Our food was quite tasty. I had the fish tacos and others in my party also tried the pretzel sticks, the wood-fired pizza, and a burger. The blue cheese burger was soooo good and I wish I had ordered that too. We had a small bit of space left for dessert, so we tried the peach cobbler. Definitely shareable and I couldn't have eaten it on my own. The old Fashioneds were different for each round. The first round was weak and their wasn't much to it- there didn't seem to be very much liquid in there period, alcohol-aside. The second round was a more generous pour and there was more content in each glass. The seasonal caramel apple old fashioned was a reasonable price, but we found the original/traditional old fashioned to be better tasting. The ambiance is quite lovely with exposed brick walls and a warm, cozy pub-like interior. Our server was very nice. He remembered my son's name and it was a nice touch for him to address him by his name. When my son showed him what he drew/colored, our server said "you did a great job!" My son beamed. Nice dining experience to end a busy day. I really enjoyed it.
