Food 4/5: The food from Blue Frog has never disappointed me. The curries are especially delicious. The rice dishes are flavorful and filling. The noodles tend to be a bit too sweet for my taste. The menu is restrictive, but I'm glad they focus on doing a few things very well. Value 5/5: The portions for the price are very fair. There aren't bogus up charges either; for instance rice comes with the curry, which is how it should be. Dined here after the White Sox game. It's small, probably mostly carry out. There were 3 of us. Everything we ordered was excellent! We all shared , not because we really wanted to, but it was so good we wanted each other to know just how good it all was. Everything we had was fresh and hot and well prepared. Got an order of crab rangoon yesterday and I am now sitting here with food poisoning. This was my first and last time trying blue frog.

This might actually be one of the best Pad Se Ew I've had in a long long time. Its salty, it's soft but with a slight bite on the noodles. Broccolii is added and little pieces of egg are divine. Added chicken for protein and it was not chewy at all. I think the takeout containers make it look a little less delicious than it is but aesthetics aside, it's a fantastic take out spot. read more

I had an order of panang curry tofu and shrimp shumai for delivery. Both were lovely. I believe the curry had some mushrooms, which I appreciated the flavor of, and the mild spice was very pleasant. The shumai had a great texture. Everything was packed well so there were no spills. read more

I was so impressed by the spice levels! I got the chicken Pad Thai in very spicy and it was almost too spicy for me. I had to put some sweet chili sauce on it to tone it down, but I couldn't stop eating it. It was delicious. We also got the Bangkok chicken (medium spice level), which was also very good and had a great kick. Lastly, the crab Rangoon was impressive as well. Blue Frog Thai is amazing place for a quick bite of thai. I live close and order regularly enough for the staff to recognize me! They're always so nice. I have tried almost everything on their menu and can say everything has been great!! I'm not sure if the restaurant has a dine in option at the moment since I always order take out but the place is very nice. They have local art for sale. My favorites have been the beef pad see ew, shrimp pancit, Bangkok chicken, and the beef pad woonseen. Although lately I've been ordering only the chicken satay with white rice. I wanted Thai food and Blue Frog was the closest at the moment with good ratings. I ordered glass noodles with extra chicken breast pieces for pickup. I arrived for pick-up to find the glass entry doors covered with smudges, which wasn't welcoming, but I looked past it. The interior was a bit shabby and had a faint odor but not enough to suggest warning. When I reached home, I was eager to eat my dish. The food was just average in terms of flavor. I was really disappointed with the quality of the chicken, for which I had ordered extra, as it was not fresh. It was tough and thawed. In fact, I ate the noodles and veggies, as bland as they were, and unfortunately side-barred most of the chicken. Perhaps other dishes are fresher and more flavorful but I will not patronize this venue again and will instead make the trek to more distant but quality Thai eateries when I'm possessed of the urge. read more

Blue Frog is pretty good and the only Thai restaurant in Bridgeport. I've only ever ordered delivery from here and have enjoyed every meal. The Pad Thai & Singapore noodles are very good as is the green curry. We ordered crab Rangoon and it was okay - the ratio of filling was very low. Since moving back to Chi from CA/TX, I was on the hunt for a reliably good Thai place. I tired quite a few spots upon my return and was let down every.single.time. I read the reviews for Blue Thai and took a chance; I'm happy I did! While my wallet is frowning, I've ordered delivery from here at least once a week since August. The food is consistently great, however, can be a bit on the pricey side depending on your protein choice. I can't comment on portions, because "the meal is not over when I'm full, it's over when I hate myself" I always get the shrimp pad thai (dare I say, Best in Chicago). I order it spicy and request Thai chili flakes on the side. The extra spicy was a little overwhelming, but I still ate it ha. I also always order the crab Rangoon, which is *chefs kiss* (though sometimes I can taste the grease more than I'd like). Overall, it's a 10/10 for to-go from me. I can't comment for in house service, because I've never been. I'm hoping to try the green curry sometime here soon, in which case I'll update the review for that. read more

Not sure why this place has 4 stars. We got takeout (3 items) and it was the first time in my life that everything sucked in a Thai carryout order! We love Thai food and Thailand is one of our favorite countries to visit. I've been craving a good papaya salad for a while and was looking forward to trying this place out. Papaya Salad - I couldn't finish it. It was bitter and the papaya was old. There was not much other flavor (not limey or spicy at all). Portion was small. Green curry chicken - wow this dish was SUGARY SWEET. And nothing else. Not spicy either, even though we requested extra spicy. The broth was thin and white-ish, not much green curry? Chicken pad thai - also one noted flavor profile. Just sweet. Ugh what a disappointment. Would not return. :( read more

Hey a Thai place in Bridgeport. Score! This place is easy to miss because it has a blue awning above it for Archer Cafe, but the window has a big, you guessed it, blue frog on it. If you're on the hunt for some fast and casual Thai, this is it. Reasonably priced, extremely fast turnaround, and pretty easy to get to. The place itself is small with only a few tables, so probably a hint that this is more of a delivery and pickup kind of joint. I have to come back and try some other things on the menu, because there's even pho on the menu. Not expecting much, but I'll take what I can get. read more

It's a one man operation, that cranks out quality food at reasonable prices. The curries here are my favorite along with the ground chicken salad. It's makes for a great meal in the Summer as well as a warming meal in the winter. The pad thai is average but when that's the worst you do thats pretty good. The service is good, and he does what he can to accommodate what you prefer. I wish I still worked in the neighborhood so I.could visit as often as I did. Really glad this opened up in Bridgeport since I do have randomly cravings for Thai food. Their bangkok chicken tastes like General Tso's chicken. It's more on the sweet side with some spicy zing. I've gotten their pad see ew. It's a little sweet, but it's basically beef chow fun with veggies. I like that I can get some carrots. It's a filling dish. I ended up bringing the leftovers to work and had compliments from co-workers about how great it smelled! I love that they are on uber eats too! This place is superb! I had the Thai Fried Rice and Singapore noodles with crab rangoon. Each were delicious, so flavorful and the portion size is more than enough. I believe the food is well priced given the portion size. I highly recommend trying the Singapore noodles if you e never had them. It's time to give this place a rating after two orders. I came across this place from GrubHub. It used to be a different restaurant which I often ordered. I was a bit reluctant to try it but this place has pad see ew and i hate driving to chinatown just to get it. At first, I didn't expect much but oh my, the taste was great! The shrimp pad see ew was extremely good. Both times I ordered, the taste was consistent. The thai fried rice was also good. One thing that I was hoping good was the pho. Unfortunately, it was a bit bland! I would not recommend it. The place itself is small. I think it was designed for carry out or delivery. The price is a bit high than chinatown but let's get real, if you can just get it closer to home, why would you drive far? The portion is decent. The food was really solid. I ordered Tom yum noodle soup, pad thai and basil chicken. The pad thai was nice and juicy with tons of flavor. The basil chicken was great. When you order either dish they'll ask you what spice level you want. Unlike many thai restaurants, in my opinion the mild spice level was actually mild. If you want a little kick I'd say ask for medium. My only complaint is that the Tom yum soup was not very spicy and there were absolutely no tomatoes or mushrooms in mine. I must have gotten the very last bit of it. I would still order food from here again and again, but I might skip the soup. read more

We love Thai food and just moved to Bridgeport. The reviews were mixed, so we didn't set our expectations very high. Based on the other Yelp reviews, we ordered the pad see ew with beef, pancit with chicken, and the crab rangoon. My favorite was the crab rangoon. It was legit good! I like the creamy filling, and the richness was balanced by the crunchy shell. The pad see ew noodles were cooked very nicely and the dish wasn't oily like many others I have had. The flavor was mild and not in your face, which I liked. My partner was unnerved by how light in color it was and had trouble distinguishing the meat (beef or chicken?), but we both liked the pad see ew better than the pancit. I thought the pancit was a little too salty, making it a little hard for me to eat. The dishes were normal in size, so don't expect leftovers if you order 1 entree per person. Overall, I think the meal was good and appropriate for an easy grab and go dinner. read more
