One of my favorite Thai restaurants on Taylor street! I personally love the pad see ewe and the curry fish cake appetizer and that's my go to. Today I tried a new one- yellow curry with chicken and It was soo good! Balanced curry flavor with a hint of sweetness possible from coconut milk? I also got the mango sticky rice cause they're in season. Mango was so sweet and soft, and the sticky rice with coconut milk was perfect. My coworker got a pad Thai and she loved it! Great Thai restaurant to visit who're quick lunch if you work around here.

Golden Thai is unassuming yet charming. It has a very homey and welcoming feel. I went during a weekday lunch hour. I had the golden paradise beef and the Tom Yar soup - spicy. Both dishes pack a lot of flavor without being overwhelming. I will be back to try other dishes!

Thai food is my favorite! I found this place near the hotel I was staying. I got the coconut soup with chicken and pad see ew. The lady that served me was so sweet. I assume she is an owner. The soup was so flavorful. It's great except for the chicken. Chicken was a bit rubbery but I love the broth. The pad see ew was just as good. I asked for mild and add my own spice so it's not overly spicy. Bomb. I would come back if I was in Chicago again.

Service is friendly. Zero wait . Sunday at March 2021. Most of their items are tasty, not much salty. It's worth for a fair price. Their ice tea is on a sweeter side and the pad Thai is also in a bit sweeter side. Tom yum soup is sweet, spicy and sour and I almost always get for a starter. Place is tiny and can get crowded very easily

My school cater Yummy Thai all the time since its cheaper but the food isn't good so people told me Golden Thai is better. While this is true, it wasn't by much. I ordered the crab rangoon, papaya salad, and the curry noodles. the first two were fine, nothing wrong but also hard to mess those up. Since I got take out, the crispy noodles on top were a bit soggy which I accepted since I knew that would happen. However, the issue was the other noodles were too mushy, felt like they were over cooked. The curry sauce was also way too sweet. I know Thai curry has a sweet element but this was edging towards a dessert. It had good curry flavor, it was just so sweet.

Little Italy has so many Thai restaurants that it's hard to really narrow it down to just one spot. I felt a bit adventurous one day and decided to walk a bit further down Taylor St. to eventually make it to Golden Thai, a cute, one-stop shop for all your Thai cuisine goodness. I had called in half an hour prior for an order of Crispy Beef Pad See Ew ($10). I figured, why not try something different today while still getting the same sweet, stir-fried flat noodles that I absolutely adored? The pickup order I placed took about 20 minutes to prepare, likely due to their smaller staffing and desire to make the sure the food was prepared well. The quality of the noodles was good! Although a bit cold after it made its way back home, I really enjoyed the flat noodles and tender beef that made up my dish. The crispy part was certainly interesting making it a bit chewier than normal. If I could go back, I'd settle for the regular style of pad see ew, but it doesn't make this any less tasty. Portion size was decent but felt small given the amount you paid. Good prices, good food, and overall good service. Golden Thai passes as one of my now go-to spots for Thai in the area.

Noodles were good and so were the portion sizes. Everything had nice flavor and didn't skimp on ingredients. Better than the noodles at yummy Thai.

I have been to plenty of Thai spots and this is defiantly one of the best. It was small and a little chilly inside but the food packed huge flavor and the food was inexpensive. We ordered about 8-9 dishes for 52.00. What I loved most was the crab Rangoon because in a lot of places it's frozen then fried. There's was handmade and fresh and I'm usually not a fan of fried rice- but there's was awesome ! The rice was soft and wasn't drowned in sauce and they use pineapple which gives it a completely different flavor ! I'm going again

    Vegetable Noodles
    Phenomenal A.

The Curry Noodles AND Pad Noodles with only Vegetables was TERRIBLE. I paid $40 for those two dishes with fried rice, and my Noodles came out like THIS. Half cooked and a spoonful was cold and crispy. I should've suspected something was up when went to grab my pickup, the young lady at the front said my name, and two of the older cooks laughed. I didn't take it personal but maybe I should have. I am highly upset and cannot believe they would do something like this. Absolutely ridiculous.

Legit one of the most authentic Thai places, especially with their Tom Yum Goong. It was the same creamy goodness that I remember growing up with. Luckily with the reservation we were seated right away. For the weekend visit it was so hectic and service wasn't the best. We didn't get our order taken until about 20 minutes after being seated. We were sitting and waiting for a while. Trying to flag down a server was impossible because of how busy it was. On the weekday service was much more attentive. Visiting on a weekday would be much more worth it since you can just walk in. Both times we ordered the Tum Thai (papaya salad), but the only difference is on the weekend we were NOT allow to adjust the spicy level on the salad. The server informed us that it was already premade so spiciness was no adjustment. I loved it but the spicy level was a bit too much for me. Everything came out relatively quick. All the dishes were very well seasoned and saucy. My favorite was the kor moo yang, tum Thai, and mango sticky rice! I would come back just for the sticky rice because it is so addicting!!!

There are window views from the restaurant, making for good people watching. Mainly metered parking available Medium to large sized place with dedicated sections for thai food (about 8 tables and 2 rows of bar style seats) vs for sushi and ramen but all under the same place/owner, can order from any menu - the decor on that side is super cute, fish cutouts, anime/manga decorated walls, decked out bars Got the scuba diving chicken from the chefs faves and must say it was pretty good - a bit on the greasier side but the aroma of the herbs and the spices from the curry really pull through, chicken is cooked very well, super tender and juicy. I got the "No turning back" spice level and theres a hefty kick - halfway into the dish my mouth def feels it but nothing too extreme (FYI theres a slight mala-like numbingness to it) The traditional papaya salad was crunchy and refreshing, sauce is tangy but not too overwhelming. The peanuts add a nice nutty element to it. There were hardly any dried shrimp, so wouldve like to see a bit more of that. Be sure to give it a good mix as the sauce and topping fall to bottom of the bowl To top it off, the service was great. Albert was really attentive and helpful - would come back if im in the gold coast area again to try the other menu offerings

Seating was a little tight like at Phodega, but not terrible. To view menu, you scan a QR code at the table. My husband & I ordered the following: - Grilled Squid This was really good! I thought it was going to come out like little calamari rings, but it was actually a decently sized whole squid, sliced with the tentacles on the side. It was cooked perfectly as it was not chewy or rubbery. The flavor was great, especially with the paired Thai-spicy seafood sauce. - Crab Meat Fried Rice Loved that this was with real crab! & not the imitation crab. There were bits of crab meat throughout the rice and then topped with a big lump of crab meat. It came served with a lime & yummy fish sauce with fresh Thai chili's. - Bamee Noodles with BBQ Pork without broth This bowl of egg noodles had a slightly sweet flavor to it, served with a fox amount of BBQ Pork which was also nice & tender! Slurped it all up! - Jina's Fried Chicken This was good, but not anything like out of this world. It was fried chicken leg quarter, served with black sticky rice. - Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango LOVED this! It was a great way to end our meal! I loved that it came with extra sweet sauce! - Taro Tapioca in Coconut Milk Cream This was great too! It was actually a warm dessert. The menu described it as "Tapioca pearls" so I was expecting the tiny little clear boba balls, but it was cubes of like glutinous rice. Which was not bad! I liked it a lot; it reminded me of Ginataang Bilo Bilo (#iykyk if you're Filipino)! Overall, a delicious experience! We would eat here again!
