Menu did not appeal to me. I ordered a green salad, to be safe, at least I thought I did. The lettuce was served hot. I guess it was grilled. It was so bad I sent it back. I ordered the lobster fritters appetizers. Fried balls for $18. Nothing special. The blue crab cakes were small and not great. My husband's grouper was dry and not tasty. If you want to have a heart attack from unhealthy dining, come here. It is a popular place. Location on the water is nice. Probably better off drinking not eating. My friend had to send back her sparkling Rose that did not have any bubbles. The waiter replaced it. But the second one was the same. She gave up and ordered a less than decent Prosecco. read more

Big disappointment! The view is nice but the food is not. I knew we were in trouble when our food came out in less than 5 minutes. Obviously premade and not tasty at all. Such a shame. It has the potential to be a nice place read more

Beautiful spot. Great fresh seafood with excellent service. Fried Green Tomatoes are the best. Live music and a really nice bar. read more

My husband and I went to this restaurant for lunch for the first time a couple of Sundays ago. It is situated right on the Intercoastal Waterway, so beautiful views. My husband and I are impressed. I had heard they had some problems when they first opened up. Well, they're probably over them now. The food was delicious. And as I am a French Fry snob, I can safely say these were the best I have ever had. My husband had the lobster wrap, and I had the tacos with the chipotle aioli sauce. Oh my gosh, they were so good. One caveat: There are not a lot of tables inside. There's a lot of seating, but a lot of it is outside or bar stool type seating facing the ICW. (And I'm too short to get up on bar stools.) But the food is very good, and our server, Grant, was excellent; he was attentive while not being overbearing. I have every intention of revisiting Blue Drum. read more

Delicious food and great views. Make a reservation as it gets busy, particularly in the spring and summer.

This was our first visit to Blue Drum. We had high hopes but it did not meet our expectations. The hostess was MIA for about 5 minutes when we arrived, other groups arriving were asking us if we had been seated yet. Once seated it took server a while to get to table, she proceeded to get drinks wrong. We each ordered snow crab clusters that arrived cold and water logged. Some staff seemed to be flustered with other staff, bathroom was dirty. Nice atmosphere but this was a one and done for us. read more

Sit on the deck for great views of the waterway. However, it was very hot so we opted to sit inside. It was VERY loud,so loud our server had a very hard time hearing us. Food was so so, had blackened crab cakes that were not blackened and was missing the remoulade sauce. Side salad was $12 but only worth about $6. Mac and Cheese with lobster was bland and was missing something. Appetizers came the same time as the main entrees. Most likely will not go back. read more

Great place beautiful view I understand they are fairly new to opening so the service was a bit slow but everyone was very nice and the food definitely worth the wait read more

Appetizer on happy hour expensive for the amount they serve you. Service was ok had to look for waitress to order more drinks.

Went for dinner a week ago with a reservation and party of 4. Pro's are beautiful location and restaurant. Drink menu is creative and the cocktails we had were awesome. I had the branch water, very good. We all agreed the drinks were good. We got a couple of different soups and appetizers. The gumbo was good and the apps of steamed shrimp and oysters Rockafella were good and would order again. Here's where the Con's come in and the meal went downhill from a great start . It is very noisy , with such a pretty decor they need to remedy the acoustics. They had entertainment which was a waste as you could not hear them. The clank of dishes was awful and distracting. The server was good and not her fault the kitchen was slow. The she crab soup was not good, too much flour and with much better from the competition, either improve or remove from menu. The four entrees were marginal at best and the same feedback from all four guests . I had the steak tips with mashed potatoes and it was a horrible old glob of mashed potatoes and the steak was chewy and the whole dish tasted as if it was from a few days ago. The tuna, seafood pasta and Caesar salad with shrimp were all flawed. We would not get those again. Ordered two desserts and they both were under par. The key lime was not set and would not hold together, the turtle cheesecake while just ok, I think a piece from grocery store would be the same. I hope they improve as I like to support local and hope this review will be received for that purpose. read more

The restaurant was great, food was good. we were there to celebrate one of our friends birthday,it was six of us,and yes we were the only black group there at the time. the bad part was when the waitress came to our table and said she needed the table for another group that was coming. like asking us to leave!!! I have never in my life been asked to leave a restaurant and it looked really bad on thier part because we were the only black ladies in room. this did not sit well with us and I never saw a time limit for our stay anywhere . all I ask is that you guys need to do better.....we will not be back and I will not recommend this place to anyone Especially people of color. read more

We stopped here for lunch and sat at the indoor bar facing the ICW. The food we orders was very good. The Ahi Poke Bowl was very good but served on a dish that was way too small. Nobody likes their chips to fall off the dish on to the public bar. The hubbs ordered the two protein seafood platter which was quite good- the crab cake was good sized. The bartender/server was super good. My issues was the wine. No drink menu. No drink prices posted. The bartender was asked to give us a house wine and she served my husband- supposedly- a $12 per glass wine! Oh heck no! We do not pay that much for any wine by the glass! We talked to her and came to an agreement but dang. WTH. Get a drink menu with prices and let's know what we are ordering and what it costs. My $6 per glass wine was just as good or better than his for double the price. So be sure to ask before getting a drink because that was not a house wine price! read more

Enjoyed the Tuna Nachos, but, the guests next to us were so loud and should have been asked to lower their tone. Nobody asked them from the restaurant. Several paying customers asked but the Blue Drum did nothing!!! Hope they can control there customers and make it nice for other paying customers. Tuna Nachos where awesome read more

We sat at the bar. Autumn was the bar tender and did a great job. She was friendly and gave me the information needed to select a cocktail. The Porn Star Martini is excellent! The menu offers lots of options. We will definitely be back. read more

Service was excellent. I don't feel like he food was as good as we've had in other visits.

Great service. Great food. We really like this place. We had friends down recently...went to several places in the area during the week. We went here their last night and they said it was the best meal of the week. read more

Cute place w nice outdoor seating on the water. Casual. We were 11 n they fit us inside because it was raining which was great. House Pinot Grigio was not the greatest but the house cab drinkers liked theirs. I thought the food was ok. Crab cakes were good. The rice n asparagus that came with them, not so much. Lobster Mac and cheese was clumpy, not creamy. French fries were pretty good. One in my party had salad w added shrimp. They dropped some of the shrimp on the floor and quite Kay replaced it but left the dropped shrimp on the floor which I realized when we were leaving and I thought that was gross. Maybe I'd go back for a drink on a nice day. read more

We had 8 friends at Blue Drum for Dinner Saturday night. The steak & shrimp was fantastic. The appetizer Lobster bites was awesome. The service was great and there were very good vibes. We will be back often! read more

We had a good dinner on a Saturday evening by the water. The service was excellent, the food was good but not outstanding. The atmosphere was very good. They had live music and between the drinks, music and conversation in was an enjoyable evening, would go again ! read more

Don't know yet been once in beginning hope to get better pizza under cooked . But like I said just started

Really want o like this locale. Great view! Definitely have some things to work out.. ousters Rockefeller.. were undercooked and the crab dip was soup, not dip. I hope they work out the kinks after this initial opening read more

Food was really good/ great portions , ambiance was pretty cool, service was good will be back !

Thank u Blue Drum and r amazing waitress Mia! Ten of us docked r boat at Blue Drum, sat outside on upper deck! Lots of different delicious meals was had by all of us ! Mia was pleasant, accommodating and very efficient! Thanks for the perfect end to r boating day ! read more

Food was great. She crab soup, crab and artichoke dip, fried green tomatoes and Lobster melt was the best of each that we've had so far around here. The greeting we received was very friendly and our servers were great, including the bartender. This place is on the water and has inside and outside seating. When we were there these had live music that was very enjoyable. The only things that could be improved is the measured drinks, most places around here do a better job with that. I would also recommend that there were more tables that could seat six or more. I only saw one when we there last. Hopefully with the added outside seating that problem may be resolved. I will be going back very soon so I guess I will find out. Great job Blue Drum. Thank you ! read more

The Views are amazing. Beautiful location watching the boats go by on the inter-coastal. The staff were very friendly. Oysters on the half shell were large and delicious. Best oysters we've had in awhile. The Fried Flounder with House Made Chips was outstanding. We also tried the Bourbon Bacon appetizer. It was not what we thought. It's not bacon but thick chunks of pork belly and unfortunately we don't like pork belly. If you do like pork belly then you'd like this I'm sure. The clam chowder was a little thick. Overall we will definitely be back. They have a few kinks to work out being a new restaurant. But it's a lovely fun restaurant. Oh and the musician, J.P. Taylor, playing that night was FANTASTIC! read more

We came here based on locals recommendations. We came to celebrate our 31st anniversary. We sat at the bar for 10 minutes, no water or drinks. No one seamed to care we were even there. We may have been invisible. We left. read more

Ashley...sorry Ashlyn RULES. Food is 10/10 for the fifth time being here. Consistent, on the ball, atmosphere, and yes AMAZING food/service. Can't go wrong with picking here to have a nice dinner. read more

First visit to blue drum. Not sure if I will return. The food was average. Apps were better than the entrees. We had the fried green tomatoes and cheese bites. The drinks could use some work. I wish there was a cocktail menu. I tend to order a speciality cocktail that restaurants put on their menus. Beers weren't listed anywhere either. The server wasn't super knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere was great. Wish the drinks were better because I would return for just drinks and apps! read more

We sat at the outside "rail" bar and the breeze and view were very nice. The service staff was friendly and the wait was minimal. I did not know you needed to reserve the tables down by the water, so If that's something you're into or going for, be aware of that. My husband had the grouper and it was FANTASTIC. I had the crab legs and honestly I was slightly disappointed, they were watery and overcooked. I had to fight every piece for meat but the flavor was good! Both of us had the Brussels as the sides --YUM! I don't even LIKE Brussels and they were delicious! read more

Cella was awesome! The restaurant has a great view and atmosphere and the Snow crabs legs.... Mmmmmmm.

Flounder thin as paper and oysters burnt to death. My wife's sandwich was on a bun that was stale. What more can I say. I could keep going. I should have gotten a reservation at Clarke's up the street. read more

Do not book your reservation online! POOR Service!!! The reason you have a reservation is so that you can be seated at the reservation time. Many people were seated before us. Even when the reservation was after ours. Their explanation was the fact that we booked online which makes absolutely zero sense! There were even people who walked in after us and were able to get a table. Very frustrating process. read more

We had ordered a drink after dinner only to be served and 2 minutes later a waitress came over to say we need to leave the table cause they had another reservation for the table. We were confused on why they would serve us a drink and 2 mins later ask us to leave table. We should have been told before we ordered another drink. Not sure we would return. read more

Very cozy spot on the intracoastal waterway. The view and atmosphere are fantastic. Unfortunately, however, the weight staff was very slow. Additionally, when I ordered the $60 surf and turf, my steak came out badly overcooked. When I returned the meal to have it cooked at the right temperature, they neglected to bring my lobster tail. By the time the waiter came back to the table, I had already finished the steak and had to cancel the lobster. He told me he would remove it from the bill and proceeded to remove only eight dollars from the tab. Very disappointing, despite the amazing view and ambience. read more

We we're there over an hour for lunch. We both had to send our soups back. Not hot at all. My wife loved her Poki meal. My 12 wings came out COLD. I sent them back. She finished before I got my wings, but they were hot and good. So, they need some fine tuning with their timing etc. they need soup spoons not tie spoons with soup. They need glass coasters too. Small things you would expect at a nice facility. Overall I would go back!! read more

Service was awful Had reservations and they did not honor them! Manager did nothing to help us. We had to leave! No apology. We will never go back. There were other people with reservations also and the didn't have a place for them. Very disappointed.
