Ok meal in taste. 3 females came in and enjoyed meal on back porch. When it was time to pay at 8:20 pm the waitress stated the computers were down. The bar closed down and we were left on cold patio. At 8:50 the waitress stated she could estimate our meal but didn't know the prices of the drinks- there were 3 drinks- 2 of which were beer. She stated she couldn't compute tax and it would be a while. We asked to speak to manager at the first sign of an issue- was told she wasn't available to speak to us. Finally waitress asked for approximate cost and we paid without any documentation. Will not return. read more

Our experience at Filet's was very disappointing, primarily due to the service we received from our server, Anna Marie. After being seated, we waited approximately 30 minutes before anyone came to our table. When Annie Marie finally arrived, she did not introduce herself or offer a greeting. Instead, she immediately asked what we wanted to drink in a manner that came across as unfriendly and unwelcoming. After placing our drink order, we waited an additional 20 minutes before our beverages arrived. Throughout the remainder of the evening, she rarely checked on our table. Our drinks remained empty for most of the meal, and the only refill we received was after I specifically requested another sweet tea. Even then, she did not ask if anyone else at our table needed a refill. We also waited approximately an hour for our food to arrive. When it finally did, some of the dishes were cold. Despite the extended wait, our server did not provide any updates, apologize for the delay, or check to see if we needed anything while we were waiting. What made the experience even more frustrating was observing Annie Marie provide attentive, friendly service to a nearby table while our table received very little attention. Considering that our party spent over $300, we expected a much higher level of service. To conclude the evening, Anna Marie did not return to present our check. Another employee brought it to us, and we had to ask that employee for our server's name. While the quality of the food had its positive aspects, the service significantly diminished our overall experience. I do not typically leave negative reviews, but this was one of the poorest dining experiences we have had due to the level of service we received. This was once one of our favorite restaurants, which makes our recent experiences especially disappointing. Unfortunately, over the past several months there has been a noticeable decline in the preparation and quality of the food, along with the level of service. Dishes that were once consistently excellent now seem poorly prepared and lack the quality we had come to expect, while service has become increasingly inconsistent. We were two couples dining here for the first time about 2.5 weeks ago - and it was a disappointing experience. Our waiter had a strong, unpleasant odor similar to that of a filled ashtray - it was off-putting especially given we were here to dine. He was also difficult to understand. The food was mediocre at best. For example, the calamari appetizer was a poor attempt; it wasn't excessively rubbery like many other restaurants, but it lacked flavor. None of the four of us finished our meals and chose not to take the leftovers, which speaks volumes about the overall quality of the food. On the positive side, the bar did well. I went in planning to order a great steak, but happy hour got the best of me. One look at the menu and suddenly I had a table full of small plates. I got to try the blackened fish bites with kickn" creole, spicy shrimp, fried clam strips, black & bleu beef tips, stuffed portobella, and garlic parmesan wings. Everything was enjoyable, and the price made it even better, all under $10 each. Our server, Maya, was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. She made sure we had everything we needed. The only downside was the drinks. Some were over-poured, and others didn't have the right ingredients. Filet's has indoor and outdoor seating. Pickup is available, but there is no delivery. Happy hour is Mon - Sat from 4PM - 6PM. First time but will not be the last. Abigail greeted us warmly and got drinks and waters going. Got the prime rib and filet. Mashed taters were a hit! Broccolini was perfect. Salads were the proper size! Abigail recommended the prime rib. She was right on. Perfect size and perfect med-rare. I got fries! I would get the fries by themselves!!! We have passed this place many times on our visit to North Myrtle Beach and decided to try it for Happy Hour. Glad we did because we found it to be much better than the reviews may indicate. The restaurant is located right on the intercoastal waterway with 3 areas, the indoor bar and restaurant, the covered deck bar and tables which has heat and clear windows for the winter, and finally an outside deck with tables and umbrellas that directly overlook the intercoastal waterway. The service is good, not great and is not meant as a negative. The HH menu has a great variety compared to some of the others we regularly visit which gives you more choice especially if visiting on multiple occasions. The drink prices are fantastic! also with a good selection. We had the fried pickle chips, fried calamari and black and blue beef tips. The beef tips were absolutely fantastic and we have been there twice now and we have reordered these both times. The pickles were OK and the calamari was also good. Overall we were very pleased and met our expectations for a Happy Hour stop. read more

Filets has a very nice waterfront view and the staff was very nice, but overall we were a bit disappointed by our dinner here. It took a really long time for our food to come out, with half of us receiving our mains about 20 minutes before the other half. The steak tips were pretty dry, and the sushi was fine quality, but the spicy tuna roll was just a tuna roll with hot sauce on top? I'd maybe come back for happy hour with a waterfront view, but the food left a lot to be desired. read more

Best Happy Hour we've been to this week! There are two bars and we sat inside not realizing there is a tiki bar outside and by the time we figured it out, there were no seats left. We watched the US Open while enjoying appetizers. I got fried green tomatoes served with a jalapeño jam and goat cheese yum!. My husband ordered fish bites and got them fried instead of blackened as recommended by the bartender. Smart choice! We were still hungry and got black and bleu steak bites - soooo good! We haven't visited Filets in a few years and decided to give it a shot while visiting N Myrtle over July 4th week. Restaurant looked the exact same. Food was same for me. My ribeye was delicious. However my sister in law had to send her MEDIUM filet back to the kitchen 3 times. Burnt the first time, raw the second, medium well on the final one. Don't know if the cook was messing with us or just sincerely didn't know how to cook a medium Filet at a restaurant named Filets. Service was EXTREMELY slow and we noticed tables around us having issues with their food as well. I would say this place has gone down hill which is a shame bc of its beautiful location in the harbor. read more

She, in fact, was the one who was aggressive and argumentative. I was smiling and laughing the entire time! How can I be aggressive and argumentative while laughing and smiling? Britney is lying to you and is making stuff up to protect herself. Shame on her!! ALSO, I have audio evidence proving the Britney was the aggressor. Yes, I recorded the conversation and can PROVE that Britney is lying and trying to make me look like the bad guy. SHE is the one that was aggressive and argumentative. SHAME on Filet's for hiring and keeping such a horrible person who hides behind the title of "manager". Ate outside by the bar. It was enclosed and nice and warm on a windy night. Server was awesome and attentive. They had Old Fashion's with Maker's for $5.25. Great deal. Had the Wedge Salad which was awesome. Crab Cakes were awesome. Sweet Chili Salmon was awesome. The mini Lobster tail was awesome. The only reason I give this place a 4 star review vs. a 5 star review is my son ordered the filet medium and it came out well done. It was way overcooked. We did not send it back to be fair but for a place that names itself Filet's you would have expected the filet to come out better. We were there about 6 months ago. The food was good and I love the water view. Wait staff was prompt and polite.

The ambiance is the best thing about this place. On the water but near a drawbridge that rings and opened twice in one hour for no apparent reason. The water in this causeway is very dirty and not from just sediment. The outside seating is filthy and dilapidated. I asked the waitress to please wipe down the tables and I barely received an acknowledgment. When she returned, she gave about a 10% effort with a dirty rag. I asked about several menu items and she said she didn't eat seafood but she sold a lot of this and the other. My wife had the salmon salad. I could've gotten a getter piece in the frozen section of the grocery store. Our friends ordered crab cakes and fried green tomatoes. Again, frozen would've been better. The prices are outrageous for the quality. Service was poor. I had the sushi. Yes, decided to take a chance. Not that bad, but not fresh as the rice was too firm, like you'd get from a grocery store, that's been sitting in the cooler. Will not go back. Stopped in on a Friday night with no wait. Walked in and when we said we wanted to sit outside - were told to "find a seat." We ended up sitting at the outside bar .. nice breeze and great music. The inside has a bad smell to it ... very musty. Not sure how anyone can eat indoors here. Started with the coconut shrimp. Was delicious ... asked for a side of sauce for dipping which made it amazing. My husband and I ordered the grouper (blackened) piccata and it was really good! I would have preferred more of the lemon/piccads sauce on the pasta. I thought it was a bit bland, but the grouper was great. Friend ordered the breaded chicken salad and the serving of chicken was very generous. Was a bit odd bc it was one big piece of butterflied chicken breast, but the breading was delicious. We had been to Fillets a few times a few years ago, enjoyed it, and thought we'd go again. Four of us had a Friday night dinner at Fillets. We were disappointed. The parking is difficult, but it always has been. Since it's right on the river, its pretty scenery looking out on the boats docked. We had a choice of sitting outside on the deck or inside. We had an inside table right by the windows. One had the blackened salmon salad ($20), one had the cranberry apple grilled chicken salad ($18), and two of us had the seafood cioppino ($30each). The two salads looked good, but I can't comment on the taste; there was a nice piece of salmon and enough chicken. The disappointment was with the seafood cioppino. The shellfish was extremely small. I've never seen clams or mussels that small. I'm talking not even little neck clam small, which are at least 1." The shrimp weren't salad sized, but when I order shrimp in a restaurant, I expect at least large, which are at least 26-35. The tomato sauce was watery and a little bland. I only wish I had taken a picture of the dish. The only positive was the service. Our waitress was pleasant. She was attentive without being obnoxious. We won't be back again. read more

Our waitress did everything she could to ignore our table, including making sure we had silverware in order to eat our food. There were no napkins, there was no butter for the dinner rolls, then the minute i stopped eating she came running over with a box and slapped the check on the table. She never came back to the table long enough to let us ask for anything so we had to flag down other servers to get our drinks and silverware. This was absolutely horrible and oh yeah, we were charged $100 for our 2 entrees and sodas. What a joke. You should be embarrassed if you own this place. read more

It's fine, great location. The food is mid, but prices are good for the quality. It's odd, it's a place that could be great, but management chooses to let things slide. For example, the peel and eat shrimp are cold, but not super cold. Like they are a bit sketch from a temp perspective. The beer on tap outside is cold, but not cold cold. The bathrooms smell like old urine, the ceiling tiles are stained with water spots and mold, and everything feels sticky. The wait staff is awesome, parking isn't great. read more

Best surprise on our trip back in April. Hands down the absolute best black N bleu beef tips EVER. Casual spot by the marina nothing super fancy and the best 80s music sung by a local with a great voice. They close at 9 pm so heads up. Service was fantastic and those beef tips, just saying. Our waitress was efficient, so no problem with her. We called for a reservation and told it was booked until seven for inside eating as there was a waiting line.
