Lovely outdoor sitting area that makes having bunch in the weekend a treat! Good food and very attentive service.

Setting: ALL THE STARS! LOVE that they have an outdoor play area. There is a ton of outdoor seating, including sun shades and outdoor bar. Very nice! Service: no complaints. Now for FOOD. I couldn't decide between 3 or 4 but based on the good i went with four. Seafood enchiladas: comes with shrimp, scallops, avocado. the scallops were perfectly cooked. Melt in your mouth good. However, there was a taste that wasn't bad, just different. Almost citrus or sour but not heavy with lime. Not sure I'd order again, but again, not bad Kids cheese enchiladas: big portion and fully stuffed with cheese. Was really good actually! It wasn't stringy, which is an auto deduction for me. Cheese should be creamy in an enchilada. No comment on refried beans, i don't prefer them. Rice, while o really liked it, it was heavy on the veggies (green onions, bell peppers, tomatoes) Beef fajita al carbon: don't think I've been served al carbon this way, it was pleasing to the eye. The beef was tender and perfectly cooked. Topped with their white queso. I enjoyed the texture and flavor, but.... There is a lingering flavor. Not smoke, maybe charred. Whatever they did, they could omit that and it would've been 100%. Charro beans were great, soft and flavorful. For me, rice was fantastic. I loved the carrots, peppers, green onions, etc. delicious Forgot chips and salsa! Chips were the perfect crisp with the right consistency to be a great vessel for salsa. The salsa.... Was good, nothing to "write home" about. Margarita was great. Would like to come back and get a whole new round of food and come back with an update. ...and enjoy the outdoor setup!

The food is great, but the service is even better. The staff came by multiple times, guessed my needs before they came out (more napkins, more salsa, etc) and my food and super cold Modelo with a frosty mug came out super fast. It was a Sunday around 3:30 and they were not busy so maybe that's why, but it was superb and I'll definitely be back. I ate out on the patio and watched the traffic while taking in some fresh air. Give them a shot!

This place is delicious!! I had the fish tacos. Salsa-perfect!! I can't wait to try brunch. Beautiful patio and amazing service!

I always love the food here but I've never provided a review. Popped in for lunch one day. Food is always well prepared and fast. Servers are extremely polite and check on you frequently. This a great location for kids because they have an outdoor play area.

This place is a nice surprise and a good alternate to the restaurant across the street. The service is good. The waiter was very attentive. when you walk in the restaurant, it's real dim, cozy and then there's a patio in the back. when you walk to the patio it's more like a outdoor oasis With plenty of seating. The chips and salsa is really good. The salsa was not spicy but lack something. I can't say what it lacked, although it was good. Whatever it was lacking, if it was added it would've taken it up a notch. The nachos were good. The enchiladas and crispy taco was good. The rice and beans were great. The fajitas were good and the shrimp or excellent. I would definitely try again and recommend.

The ambiance was amazing, the outdoor seating is gorgeous. It's all gated in, so if you have kids they will have fun! There's a playground. The food was honestly not good.... Way over priced and not enough love or effort put in. I really liked the hostess Anna, she was very kind. Wait staff was great, only complaint is the food & the drinks were pretty pricey and tiny.

The staff & atmosphere is great, unfortunately the food wasn't good, the tortillas were not homemade, nor was anything else. I would not recommend if you eat Mexican food regularly and have higher standards for it.

We enjoyed our dinner at Blue Agave. We were delighted to sit on the patio, which was not only spacious but also air-conditioned. The patio had an inviting atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing evening. Since there are so many amazing Mexican restaurants in Houston, I would say we enjoyed the food and we are glad we tried this restaurant but it may not be our top choice.

Great service! Awesome food and presentation! Ambiance is great. The margaritas are the best. Very strong but LOVE! We sat at the bar and our bartenders were great. Very attentive and fun!

We were visiting from our home in Las Vegas. Blue Agave was close to our hotel so we chose convenience. Having lived in California I grew up loving good Mexican food. Sadly, I can't give this restaurant a great rating. First, the prices were quite high which is OK if the food warrants it, the food didn't. I had beef tacos with fajita style meat. In one taco the meat was really tough and had tendons. I literally couldn't chew it. The rice was crunchy! I could say tough, but it was dry and crunchy is the best term. It was like the rice sat under a heat lamp for a long time. The beans were ranchero style and were pretty good but they added pepper to it (Serrano) and it was a little spicy, the same with the guacamole. My wife had shredded chicken tacos and felt they were pretty good. I wanted to like this place. It had good, friendly service and out back they had a beautiful patio. Sadly, they nice ambiance and friendly service didn't overcome the other short comings.

Outside nasty table and chairs, probably need to be thrown away.

Food was good, large portions. The wait staff was very nice. When we walked up to the entrance I made a comment it was a bit trashy and not welcoming. A sign on the building was broken and only half was there. The inside was nice, we sat outside and tables were old and wood splitting, definitely can't be cleaned between guest. I think there used to be a waterfall but is now all weeds. There were 2 tall tables by the empty fountain and were trashy looking and I can't imagine anyone would sit at them. The bottom of the outside bar was rotted out looking like critters would go in it. They just really need to take a few days and have junk hauled away, grass planted and fill in fountain w sand for kids to play in. Needs some serious help with pride in ownership or people will not come. I don't think we will go back without changes.

A place I grew up in as a little girl in Beaumont but never have I've visit this "original" location. Stepping in to this spot felt like a restaurant in the country of Mexico. I ordered the El Henry. I absolutely loved my dish, only thing I would've chance was the cheese enchilada definitely would've swap for a chicken or beef one, or maybe even a flaunta. I really like the Mexican rice, it had little potatoes and carrots in it. Some of the best Mexican yellow rice I've had. They offer a cinco de mayo drink special. The only thing that seem to make it special was the drinks apparently were limited edition menu items. Nothing was special about the prices. The regular menu drinks were a dollar(s) less. The margarita I ordered first was peach coconut. I didn't taste the coconut at all. I swap for the peach strawberry ($14 or 15) which was great, sweet& strong. One did me just right. You get to select up to two flavors for additional $2 (for both verse each, that's a plus. Not worded on menu). If you select a third flavor an additional $2 would be added ($4 in total) I appreciate separate tickets provided after confirmation and no additional gratuity automatically added, which he got tip equally the same or more. When asked about the "empty" patio that was available, he informed us that the entire deck was reserved. Upon departing I noticed from the parking lot individual tables, of separate parties were occupying only 3 tables. It was 8 of us sitting at 2 tables. Which the table was pushed up against the wall, and one side was inaccessible, which took away spacing. Service was lovely space was really tight. Good thing some of the ladies didn't order full meals. Definitely wouldn't have been able to fit every plate.

Ambiance: upon walking in, it was chaos and sooooo many people standing up and sitting down. Walking around with drinks. I felt like I was in a club. A server made her way to me to take my Togo order. While waiting, I grabbed a drink at the bar and just made the happy hour cut off. Service was great as I was able to get my order and it was a large order. Everything was correct. The house margarita was ok, I wish I had gotten the hibiscus flavor. Order; Crab Tostadas Mixed Fajitas Snapper Mole Enchilada Ninfa 2 Tacos Margarita Mix The only thing I would order again is the crab tostadas and the beef fajitas. The chicken had no flavor at all. The charros beans and rice were not anything special. I was not a fan of either. Overall, we are not planning to order from here again. It just wasn't what Mark Weins made it seem like on his review. Also, whoever the driver was practically could not wait for me to turn around. Sorry, I had to take a pic. Very rude.

For drinks, my husband and our friends tried some of the margaritas from their large and unique margaritas menu, as well as their hibiscus agua fresca. All of the drinks were very pretty and it seemed like everyone enjoyed them, too! We started with their chips and salsa trio, which we all really liked. The chips were on the thicker side, but were crispy and not stale or chewy at all. Each of the salsas were quite different, and two were served warm, which we really liked! For the price, I'd consider getting the chips and salsa as a non-negotiable, honestly. For entrees, we tried the enchilada rojas, chilaquiles verde w/ chicken and beef, birria barbacoa ramen, and huaraches. My husband felt like his ramen could have included more meat, but aside from that everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. The highlight was probably the desserts, though! We got a quatro leches and two ordered of their giant and amazing churros. Both were incredibly tasty and reason enough to return for another visit in the future!

The "queso" w/carne seemed to be out of a can-it was orange & didn't have the consistency of real cheese- wasn't really cheese & was disgusting. It was $9.99. It definitely is enough for 2. The meat melts in your mouth. EVERYTHING is better quality than here. Teo charged $1.50 for perhaps 4 or 5 slices of lime to make the happy hour margaritas made with a gross mix drinkable. That's outrageous. It reminds me that I had stopped going long ago when they charged extra for onions on enchiladas. Come on. You don't charge extra for chopped onions! I have never been to another restaurant that does so. Some even provide carmelized grilled onions gratis. I'm convinced that a $15. Neither of the salsas were as good as they used to be.The water pitcher didn't even have ice when they refilled the water. I have absolutely no desire to return. Why would I?

I prefer traditional homemade Mexican food but here we are. (Oh I googled and suggested this place lol) Went in for a team lunch on a Friday. Coworker's birthday lunch and she wanted Mexican. Party of 9 and we were seated promptly. They have a lunch menu and a happy hour as well as a full menu and full bar. The interior was nicely decorated. And open. There is bar seating and patio seating as well. Our waitress was Aisha and she was amazing. Friendly, helpful and patient. And able handle our large group and a few more tables with a smile. There were a variety of options. Salads, fajitas, nachos, enchiladas, etc. Also complimentary chips and salsa. My Order: chicken tortilla soup, lunch fajitas combo - chicken and beef. Chicken tortilla soup (3.5/5) - it was a bit salty for me but I am not a salt person so most things are salty to me; everyone else said it was tasty, there were tons of shredded chicken, avocado pieces, tortilla strips Fajitas - combo (4/5) - chicken was seasoned well and the beef (medium rare) was perfection and so tender and juicy, mexican rice was fluffy, and normally I would pass on the beans and get extra rice but my coworker suggested the charro beans and wow, that was a win - the seasoning was great, there were chunks of meat and the texture was nice, the only thing that could have been done better is the flour tortillas - they over-charred them making them too crispy and left them with a burnt taste. A couple of people got the elote salad and raved about it. So that will be a next time try. Def will be back. Everyone enjoyed their meals and some even ordered food to go. Would recommend.
