I was walking along Bloor street and saw that I walked right past this store and so I went back to get some donuts. I honestly did not know they were vegan until I brought some home and looked online. I let my siblings try it and we all thought that the donuts were a bit too dry for our liking. Service was nice and the place did offer very interesting donut flavours though.

Box of 4 (clockwise) - lemon poppyseed, rose pistachio, birthday cake, cookies and cream

It took a global pandemic, but I finally got to try Bloomers through delivery. And while I was a bit annoyed I couldn't choose which 4 donuts to have in my box of 4 (other than saying whether it should be nut free or not), I was pleased to find out the donuts were good - a bit expensive but worth it because of the quality, and super filling as they were on the denser side. From what I can tell, my 4 donuts were: - Rose Pistachio: The star of the bunch. The rose and pistachio glaze combination was rich without being overwhelming, and had this almost refined and uppity taste to it (in a good way). - Birthday Cake and Cookies&Cream: Both were typical standard good glazes. - Lemon Poppyseed: A bit too sour for me, and hardly tasted the poppyseed. Overall pretty good. I may not go back, but can easily see why vegans and non-vegans alike love this place.

Never fails to satisfy that sweet tooth! The shop is beautiful and perfect to study at and the service is always polite and friendly! Come here all the time, especially during the fall for their perfect pumpkin pie doughnuts!

I only had a chance to stop in here briefly during a short trip to Toronto, but I got their Zucchini Chocolate Chip Muffin, and WOW, it was one of the best muffins I've EVER had. Bonus was the fact that it was vegan AND gluten-free. It looks like there were a couple other things I could have also tried that were vegan and gluten-free, so maybe I will have to come back next time I'm in town to try them.

Bloomers is a quaint little cafe at Bloor & Ossington. I've been there several times. The donuts seem to be very popular but I decided to try some of the food. As a non vegan I try not to compare vegan foods to meat based foods. I decided to go for the pulled pork (jackfruit) sandwich. My sandwich came out in a matter of minutes. There's no way you can compare it to a real pulled pork sandwich. It was pretty good but the BBQ sauce had a very strange aftertaste, it was a bit too tangy. The onion ring was the best part of the sandwich. I would like to try their breakfast menus or even the pastries. The service was pretty average. Also there's free wifi. Keep Eating, Angela

This cake was actually surprisingly really good. The consistency was perfect. And for a vegan cake, damm good job. It was very tasty, timing was perfect. I mean I was slightly worried the icing would be off due to delivery issues as per below comments but it was perfect . The work place actually showed me the cake also before leaving to confirm all is good . I highly recommend it

Dear Bloomer's, where have you been all my life? Well, apparently, right down the street. I have lived mere blocks away from Bloomer's for over 4 years but, in an effort to be more *~*vegan*~* have only just recently added it to my regular neighborhood rotation. The coffee is delicious, the donuts are to die for, and the lunch menu is nothing short of expansive. Yesterday, I ordered the BBQ jackfruit sandwich (my new fav food trend) to go and was *shook* to discover how huge it was when I got it home. It was one of those perfect sloppy sandwiches that leaves enough behind on the plate that you have to eat it with a fork. Free second sandwich, right? The jackfruit was divine, though it was a bit heavy on the mayo (but at least it was vegan mayo). There has been quite a bit of a wait every time I come here, but the staff are friendly and the wait is always worth it. Definitely one of the better vegan pastry shops I've tried in the city and the wide-ranging lunch menu makes it even better. Also looks like a great spot to hole up with a laptop on weekdays!

Make sure you check your cake at the location before you bring it home. Our cake was clearly iced while still warm or left long enough for the icing to slide off. Tasted good, but disappointing that the icing had slid off. The other cake we purchased was fine.

Hands down the best vegan bakery in Toronto! Their donuts are perfect. Fluffy freshness all around. My favorite flavors are, Boston cream, cookies and cream, pumpkin, apple cider, chocolate raspberry truffle, and the berry. Ok, pretty much all the donuts I've tried are my favorites. I recently ordered a pecan pie from them and it was the best pie (vegan and non-vegan) I've had. Just the right amount of filling and the crust was "buttery" Crisp. Even the non-vegans were impressed. Which is annoying, as if they never had bad tasting non-vegan food. PUHLEASE! Mind you, I ordered the pie with gluten. Just because I'm vegan doesn't mean I'm gluten free, but they did have gluten free pies available for you celiac intolerants. Someday I will eventually try their meals, but with all those donuts, I tend to make them my meal replacement. :X

Canadian Maple Donut and black coffee

I love finding new cafe places, so this one is definitely one I'd come back to...on a weekday. I'm not a huge fan of extremely busy coffee shops where it's difficult to even hear the other person you're with sometimes. Plus we had to move some seats to help a bigger group find seating. But with that being said. The service was very good and quick. Plus, we had a Canadian Maple Cream donut to share....which was definitely the best tasting donut I have had in a very long time. I would definitely check this place out when it's not super busy.

    Box they came in

Definitely some of my favourite doughnuts I have had in general. I have been here a couple times before, and each time my roommate and I try a new flavour, they are all good in their own way(I prefer the ones without filling but they are still good), even a basic one with sprinkles. The texture of the doughnut is very nice and light , so if that is your preferred texture over the dense ones, you will really like it. This will always be one of my to go doughnut spots.

The pastries and mochi breads are absolutely exquisite! I tried the black sesame mochi bread--light, pillowy, and filled with a delightful little white mochi surprise. The crème brûlée almond tart was incredible too, with its thick, eggy custard and a blueberry-almond center. And the Hitotoki matcha tart? Gorgeous and just perfect. It was my first visit, and I discovered the bakery through their 2nd-anniversary IG post. I bought about $20 worth of treats and got to spin their prize wheel--and I actually won the Grand Prize: a limited-edition gold Nespresso & milk frother kit! I literally jumped for joy. Yet another reason to love this incredible bakery!

It was okay. Tried three items:…read more Matcha Lava Tart - The staff said this had the strongest matcha flavour among their matcha items. But there was no "lava" at all... just a layer of cream sitting on a thick tart base. You do get some matcha flavour, but definitely not that rich and flowing matcha sauce I saw in those online reels. Matcha Mont Blanc - Too sweet. The green noodle-shaped topping is actually made from a kind of bean paste - not much matcha taste, but had a strong bean flavour instead. And again, it was too sweet to my liking. Taro Tart - This one was good. Taro-flavoured cream on top, with taro paste underneath, then a layer of custard with mochi at the bottom. Had a rich taro flavour. Still a bit sweet, but not as overwhelming as the Mont Blanc. Overall it was not bad, although TBH I haven't really found great matcha desserts in Toronto so far.

My wife always judges a French Cafe by their Butter Croissant ($3.00) and she liked it! She also noticed all the  staff speak French sp it gives it even more legitimacy.  She also ordered a Flat White ($4.50) which was also good. I ordered a Plum Almond Tart ($7.25) because it was the prettiest. It was super delicious so it was definitely a good choice! Service was courteous and friendly. You place your order at the counter and bring it to your table. Someone will come around to clear the dishes when you are done It is a great place to have a nice casual time eating and socializing. They make all their food in-house in the basement. There are products for sale such as coffee beans, fruit syrup, maple syrup, smoked sauces, olive oil, scented soap, wine glassware, etc. I will definitely come back again to try other items. There is free WiFi. The neo-bisto is not wheelchair accessible since there are stairs leading up to the entrance. There are two gender-neutral washrooms. Hopped on my bike and a half hour later I was there. The friendly staff helped me by answering my question regarding eggs and which items did not have any in the recipes. This place was also super poppin' when I got there. It was earlish in the day around 10:30am and it seemed all the tables were pretty much taken. They are adding a dinner menu which is very exciting. Their pastries are phenomenal!!! Picked up a plum and pistachio tart, a chocolate mousse cake and an apple Danish for my mom. Plus a chocolate caramelized croissant. So much butter, and yet so good. Brought my container, which they happily used. The last time I visited this spot back in 2022, I vowed I would come back and take up space in that beautiful bay window seat. Yet I haven't followed through with that yet. One day. They also changed the name, since I was there last it was called Le Conciliabule Lab. Le Conciliabule means, "speak easy", as their website says. It was used back in the day to describe a place where people would come together and talk about everything and nothing. I can definitely say that happens here. What a beautiful concept, "everything and nothing". Now named Bisou, which means kiss. That's actually really simple and sweet. Since every pastry and any food item or beverage enjoyed here is a kiss for your tastebuds. Love it. Keep going team. You are amazing!
