    Vegan cinnamon rolls
    Jennifer G.

Tried the vegan cinnamon rolls. They were pretty good, a tad sweet perhaps and the dough not the most fluffy but still gobbled up the entire roll.

A couple of their things were just okay, but so far their cakes (have tried a few) have all been good. The fact that everything is gluten free and dairy free is pretty crazy as well. Sure it's somewhat noticeable if you were paying attention to the textures, but the taste is great and I'm sure most people wouldn't pick up on the difference at all. They are a bit pricey but compared to other places for what you're getting, not a crazy amount more or anything. Personally for me they were just overly sugary/sweet, otherwise I would've done 4 stars.

The vegan muffins were really delicious! The blueberry one was my favorite! 10/10 recommend :)

Had our wedding cake from here. Technically it wasn't a "wedding cake" because those cost an arm and a leg + the pandemic + a micro wedding = a small cake. But it was delicious. We got red velvet and it was the tastiest cake ever, I would 100% get more cakes from bunners. Their frosting is super delicious and whatever flour their use is indistinguishable from gluten flour. Our guests couldn't tell that it was gluten free and we (the just married couple) were the only gluten free people there. We also had cupcakes, those are fantastically delicious as well. Filled with flavour and goodness. Go buy some!

If you're gluten free in Toronto this place is a must visit! Their cinnamon bun was so delicious my family had no idea it was even gluten free (they aren't gluten free but I am). I also got the lemon raspberry muffin and it did not disappoint. My only regret was not getting more of everything! Yum!

Delicious and beautifully decorated plant based cakes and sweet treats. Buying from Bunner's makes me feel no guilt as their products make sure to not use ingredients that exploit animals and instead use plant based ingredients that are good for health, the earth, climate and animals.

I have a lot of dietary issues and I eat vegan and gluten free. So when we drove by this place and I saw in big letters Vegan and Gluten Free). I literally said "shut up and take my money." It's a quaint bakery, they have the display case in the left with the baked goods and a fridge I. The right where you can buy some premade GF and vegan food or batter to bake at home. When the person helping us found out it was my first time she said "oh this is gonna be life changing" and I could t agree more. I got the blueberry scone, chocolate chip cookie sandwich, cookies and cream cupcake, and two squares (raspberry and one with caramel and chocolate chips). Everything was absolutely delicious and if I had more time in the area I'd definitely go back.

First time at Bunner's; stopped by to grab myself some birthday sweets! Everything I bought tasted great, however, slightly on the sweeter side (for my personal liking). I loved the blueberry oat muffin and the Josephine Louise. The muffin was moist and the muffin top was firm, just the way I like them! The red velvet cupcake and raspberry square was too sweet for me, but again that's just a personal preference. Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to trying more items on their menu soon!

I don't know where to begin with this place. In my quest to eliminate dairy from my diet, vegan dessert options have been my savior when trying to satisfy my sweet tooth. Bunner's is a small bakery in the middle of Kensington market which I visited on a crisp fall day. It was right before thanksgiving so there were a lot of pumpkin desserts, a plus from the start. I ordered a selection of muffins and their bars and here are the highlights: - pumpkin cheesecake bar: I literally don't know how this was vegan. It was one of the most delicious bars I've tasted, with a strong authentic pumpkin flavor which I loved - date bar: I'm middle eastern and have eaten my fair share of date bars in my life. This came close to being on the top three I've ever tasted, sweet yet not overwhelming and not greasy! - gingerbread carrot muffin: so moist and carroty and the hunt of ginger makes it perfect! I tried other baked goods and they were good as well, so these three really stood out for me! Will definitely be back to try more goofs

A gluten free AND vegan bake shop?! What a time to be alive. This place is so legit. So many different baked goods to choose from, both sweet and savory. Being gf and v, I hadn't had a cinnamon roll in years. Eating theirs, I was so happy, I could've cried. It was so delicious and just perfect. So was the date square. If you're gf, v, or just wanting amazing baked goodies, you must check this place out!

Tried the Carmelita and vanilla cupcake and the food is spectacular. I'm generally not a fan of cupcakes but they are done right. The carmelita was a staff pick and worked out well. Only thing was that I needed a coffee to offset the sweetness. Fortunately there are many options nearby for an espresso

The pastries and mochi breads are absolutely exquisite! I tried the black sesame mochi bread--light, pillowy, and filled with a delightful little white mochi surprise. The crème brûlée almond tart was incredible too, with its thick, eggy custard and a blueberry-almond center. And the Hitotoki matcha tart? Gorgeous and just perfect. It was my first visit, and I discovered the bakery through their 2nd-anniversary IG post. I bought about $20 worth of treats and got to spin their prize wheel--and I actually won the Grand Prize: a limited-edition gold Nespresso & milk frother kit! I literally jumped for joy. Yet another reason to love this incredible bakery!

It was okay. Tried three items:…read more Matcha Lava Tart - The staff said this had the strongest matcha flavour among their matcha items. But there was no "lava" at all... just a layer of cream sitting on a thick tart base. You do get some matcha flavour, but definitely not that rich and flowing matcha sauce I saw in those online reels. Matcha Mont Blanc - Too sweet. The green noodle-shaped topping is actually made from a kind of bean paste - not much matcha taste, but had a strong bean flavour instead. And again, it was too sweet to my liking. Taro Tart - This one was good. Taro-flavoured cream on top, with taro paste underneath, then a layer of custard with mochi at the bottom. Had a rich taro flavour. Still a bit sweet, but not as overwhelming as the Mont Blanc. Overall it was not bad, although TBH I haven't really found great matcha desserts in Toronto so far.

My wife always judges a French Cafe by their Butter Croissant ($3.00) and she liked it! She also noticed all the  staff speak French sp it gives it even more legitimacy.  She also ordered a Flat White ($4.50) which was also good. I ordered a Plum Almond Tart ($7.25) because it was the prettiest. It was super delicious so it was definitely a good choice! Service was courteous and friendly. You place your order at the counter and bring it to your table. Someone will come around to clear the dishes when you are done It is a great place to have a nice casual time eating and socializing. They make all their food in-house in the basement. There are products for sale such as coffee beans, fruit syrup, maple syrup, smoked sauces, olive oil, scented soap, wine glassware, etc. I will definitely come back again to try other items. There is free WiFi. The neo-bisto is not wheelchair accessible since there are stairs leading up to the entrance. There are two gender-neutral washrooms. There is free street parking on their one-way south-bound street. Review 2023-017

Hopped on my bike and a half hour later I was there. The friendly staff helped me by answering my question regarding eggs and which items did not have any in the recipes. This place was also super poppin' when I got there. It was earlish in the day around 10:30am and it seemed all the tables were pretty much taken. They are adding a dinner menu which is very exciting. Their pastries are phenomenal!!! Picked up a plum and pistachio tart, a chocolate mousse cake and an apple Danish for my mom. Plus a chocolate caramelized croissant. So much butter, and yet so good. Brought my container, which they happily used. The last time I visited this spot back in 2022, I vowed I would come back and take up space in that beautiful bay window seat. Yet I haven't followed through with that yet. One day. They also changed the name, since I was there last it was called Le Conciliabule Lab. Le Conciliabule means, "speak easy", as their website says. It was used back in the day to describe a place where people would come together and talk about everything and nothing. I can definitely say that happens here. What a beautiful concept, "everything and nothing". Now named Bisou, which means kiss. That's actually really simple and sweet. Since every pastry and any food item or beverage enjoyed here is a kiss for your tastebuds. Love it. Keep going team. You are amazing!
