I've written a million reviews on this place and never posted them, due to the fact that it is a hit or miss experience. Sometimes it is the best pedicure I can get. Sometimes it's not - once I had to go home and do a little more scrubbing, another time I had to redo the nail polish myself. Sometimes I'll schedule an appointment and after a 30 minute soak, I'll have to leave... or like today, I've been sitting in this water for 40 minutes. I may leave when they finish my partners pedicure, since they have somewhere to be and I don't want to spend a whole nother hour. I genuinely wish that they wouldn't book appointments that they cannot keep. Very friendly and they work their butts off, but his pedicure is done and mine has yet to begin.. I'm thankful his is done. His took 45 minutes. She's nearly done with mine and it started 15 minutes ago. Great staff. Usually a great pedicure. Just disorganized. I've gone back and forth on if I should continue to come here... but when it's good, it's great. read more

I almost asked for another tech after she cut me the first time, but I just sat there and suffered. She also took 1.5 hours. I don't know who they are hiring to work here but both visits were awful. These SNS were done today. She literally just slapped the stuff on my nails. With no care. I complained and showed my technician but the lady acted like she couldn't understand me and walked away to the other person she started working on before I was even done. I didn't want to make a scene because the place was packed and my mother in law was paying. But this is ridiculous. * Update I'm giving them three stars because Lindsay the manager contacted me and admitted it wasn't a good job and offered a redo and because Hana did a really nice job on my redo. She made sure everything was even and clean and was polite. My redo was an uncomfortable trip though. I asked Lindsay the manager to not be placed with the same person that originally did my nails. She said she would put me with someone great but upon arrival the same girl attempted to do them. It was an awkward situation to be put in. She didn't see a problem with her work but I have pictures to show they were not good. I know it's hard to admit you did a bad job on something but it was a bad job. I explained I wanted someone else and they switched twice and I finally got placed with Hana. Which I'm thankful for because she does a great job. I may return but only to see Her. read more

I have quite possibly been to every nail salon in the greater Austin area by now, but I will now only go to Bloom Nails. I've been a consistent client at Bloom for a while now, and the staff here are better than anywhere else. I have my preferences on who I see but mostly that is because I have gotten to know them more. Everyone else is great too! The people here are so friendly and bend over backwards to give customers the best experience possible. Today they received a bad review from someone else, and it not only offended me but motivated me to also post a review as I should have a long time ago. The team here has been through a lot over the last year and a half with Covid, like so many other businesses. They have survived the financial devastation of not being able to work, come back to enforcing a mask mandate that many did not respect, and are now still enforcing it even as our state lifted the mandate. I was there today when the couple mentioned earlier today were not wearing masks. They were sitting together separated from others and were actively drinking their beverages at the time. It was a completely reasonable situation. I know this team well enough by now to know they have been verbally abused for requiring masks. The previous post is incorrect and hurtful to a team that works their asses off EVERY day. Just to show how diligent they are to provide a safe and clean environment for themselves and their customers, I'm including a picture I captured of them cleaning one other night I was there. They do this EVERY day... That's enough energy on that topic. The most important thing is to know this place is a rare gem in the middle of thousands of sub par to average (at best) other places to go in the area. Walked in and the first two customers I saw had no masks. Completely understand not everyone needs to wear a mask and that companies can make their own rules. Went here for about 2 years, never had problems till recently. They are extremely rushed now and dont take their time on my nails so the quality has gone down DRASTICALLY. I left for a couple months and came back hoping they would get it right. I explained my concerns to them and they promised to get it right... THESE ARE THE WORST NAILS IVE EVER HAD! I, a long time customer, will NEVER be returning. If I knew how to post pictures I would. The sns is horrible and 4 of my nails have broken off, two with blood in which I have never had happen in my whole life. She placed the fake nail at the very end of my real nail which is what has caused them to break. This is my go to when I treat myself to a pedi-mani. They are very pleasant and do a great job. They have a very reasonable "combo" deal that I prefer especially in the winter as I'm not wearing sandals or even open toed shoes. Going for Ruby Red in honor of Valentines Day. My pedicure was exceptionally relaxing. It was very quiet-I'm not used to being there during the week and Saturdays and Sundays they are hopping! Holly did my pedi. She was very thorough and very thoughtful. I don't go in as frequently in the winter and I needed a lot of dead skin removal ( ick) . She did an outstanding job getting everything back in control. She trimmed my nails expertly and used undercoat as well as overcoat to protect my color and I'm sure it will last until I head back there. The experience was truly a treat! Jelly did my manicure and was also great. I rarely if ever get color on my fingernails as I have them in water etc. a lot and just end up chipping them-usually with in a day or two (if not the same day) so-I go with clear polish. As it wears off much more quickly it's not near as noticeable as a color is!!! Yes-Bloom nails has quickly become my favorite nail spa in a veritable sea of nail salons. Last time I went here a month ago, a new guy hurt my toe with the nail dremel to get the old polish off - shred the skin on my toe. This time I made an appointment & asked for one of the regular ladies that work there. A nice regular tech, got me set up & soaking, & I was happy to have a good tech this time. 5-10 minutes into my feet soaking, she told me one of the boys would come do my pedicure "when they finish the one they are working on." Because another couple came in that had an appointment, she was going to do theirs. So my appointment meant nothing. My value as a customer meant nothing. I left. They tried to stop me at the door from leaving, and offer someone else to do my pedicure. Really? You disrespect me. Lied to me that I had an appointment. I used to go regularly to see Kathy. She was wonderful, but has gone home overseas. This business doesn't care for you. From the looks on faces, it seems most of the people working there are unhappy, too. It's a shame. I am a caregiver for my sick elderly parent. This place, when Kathy was there, was a nice place to go once in a while where I could be taken care for just a brief moment. We visited Bloom for the first time about a month ago and the experience was great! My husband, daughter, and myself each got a pedicure. When we arrived (wearing masks) we were asked to wash our hands. Totally get it. We were then seated next to each other, but distanced from others. Long story short, they take Covid precautions seriously. Pedicures were great! The nail techs were friendly and personable, but did not try to push extra services on us. I went to get my eye brows and my lip waxed. The girl helping me was very friendly, except she got distracted very easily. She picked up a couple of phone calls including her personal cell phone. I let all that go. When I get to my car to see my eye brows, I notice there is a ledge in my eye brow that is missing hair. It doesn't look good at all. I go back in and show them and the girl says "that's how it is". My eye brow has never had a gash In them before. After I say that she says "I saw, I forgot to tell you". The manager came and did give me a refund on my eye brow. Perhaps this is a good place for nails but I don't recommend waxing. read more

This was my first time visiting this salon and will probably be my last. I can tell by how I was greeted what the service would entail. Upon walking in they asked for what service and never showed me a menu. My best guess is that assumed I wanted the cheapest. I got a $50 pedicure that lasted less than 45 minutes. I felt like the massage was rushed and going through the motions. The nails were not cut evenly and shaped oddly some square or round. I was visibility treated different than other customers. I am in love with this new nail salon! I have been 3 times so far and have had awesome experiences each and every time! I think I'm a new hooked customer! Here's the scoop: 1. Great service! I have had a gel manicure, a regular pedicure, an organic upgraded pedicure, and eyebrow waxing. Everything has always come out great. I have had the same lady each time (Lindsay) and can only say lovely things about her. She's super friendly and does a great job! 2. The store is pretty and clean. Everything is new and looks nice. The massage chairs are comfortable and now worn out like many other nail joints. It's just a nice shop from what I have seen. 3. Great selection of regular polis, gel polish, and SNS polish. I usually have a hard time narrowing it down because they have so many colors I like. 4. They always offer you a drink. It's sure nice to get a ice cold bottle of water when it feels like the surface of the sun outside. Nice touch. It is a bit on the pricey side, but on par with the other nail places in the area. My nails always come out the way I want, if not better than I expected. I always go to Morgan now for my SNS (dip). She is the sweetest and is very talented. She always makes a sure I am happy before I leave (and I always am). Really fast, but super rough. I got a pedicure and she was really rough with the sharp tools and the buffer. The cuticle on my left big toe was cut and bleeding. Which makes me extremely nervous because they pulled the tools out of a bucket that they are obviously reusing from customer to customer. They don't have the individually sanitized packages like the really professional places do, and they're not any cheaper. I understand they were busy but it's supposed to be a relaxing experience. I kept flenching because the lady was so rough but she just glared at me. I asked her to please be more gentle but she wouldn't acknowledge me. This place is horrible and filthy, which you don't really notice until you've sat down and start looking around. I had the absolute worst pedicure in my life here. Sat down for a "deluxe" $55 pedicure which, coincidentally, started and ended at the same time as the lady next to me who bought the "basic" pedicure. But the real "gem", or atrocity, here is the salty older woman with bad hair extensions who sits at the very front right as you walk in. SHE is SINGLEHANDEDLY the SOLE reason we'll never be back. I had made an appointment for my daughter and I to get fills - a day in advance. We show up on time and Salty informs me they're behind about 15 minutes. I said okay, that's liveable. She then proceeds to have a tech put acetone soaked cotton balls wrapped in foil on our nails and says, "wait here 10 minutes", never to be seen again . 30 minutes in and now there is NO tech to be found anywhere. Even Salty has vacated her station leaving her two bewildered customers sitting there mid nail-job! My daughter and I removed the foil ourselves and walked out. I told Salty' s customer who is just sitting there, "I think she'll figure out why we left." You madam, are horrendous when it comes to customer service skills! If you're running this place, it's amazing it's lasted as long as it has. Just wow! read more

About 15 minutes later, someone came to remove my nails and only removed 7 of the 10, then left me sitting there for another 10 minutes. Also, the other individual that I went with did not even have nails on; therefore, they should've began with removing my nails. Finally I convinced them to just take off my nails and leave them be. When they removed the polish, she started shaping my nails and do not ask me what shape I would like; therefore, I will have to get tips again because she shaped them wrong and cut them too short. I told the nail tech that I did not want my nails to look to thick. I feel like this job was mediocre at best. They most certainly are thick, lumpy in places, the thumb is crooked and they are just poorly shaped. I paid $60 for the nails and $40 for the pedicure so it's not cheap and the quality should reflex that price. Now I just want them off my fingers. Ugh! read more
