First time stopping by. I was impressed with the wide variety of menu options. They have an in house root beer and mixed sodas that looked great. Several Vegan/Gluten Free options. There are a lot of items battered or cooked with alcohol though, so be sure to ask if that concerns you. I ended up ordering the coconut curry bowl of noodles. It was much better than I thought. I got the chickpea shawarma salad which was advertised with a tahini dill dressing. It comes out and had a much creamier dressing than anticipated (tasted like a tzatziki sauce). The salad as a whole lacked quite a bit of flavor for me. I also requested to add tempeh to this salad for some protein, which was not put on the salad. By the time our server came back to check on us, we were already finished with our meal even though we witnessed them checking on other tables multiple times and had not checked on us once. As for the barbecue tempeh sandwich, just didn't blow us away. Brioche bun could have been toasted a bit more and the sauce on the tempeh was poorly distributed. Had the potential to be great but fell quite below our expectations. 3 stars for the ambiance and Mom's beer. read more

Block 15 Brewing has wonderful food, wonderful staff, and is such a great place for a meal for any group from friends to family.

Fun atmosphere. Good food. Great beer. This is definitely on my go to list when I'm in Corvallis.

Really good food. Someone posted about the vaccination card requirement. We weren't asked for that on 2/21/2022. It seems as if Oregon is a bit more stringent on the C19 recommendations than other states. I did hear the hostess tell a guy he needed vax status to sit at the bar. We had just finished visiting the OSU campus ( where we had to show proof of vax for the college tour) and this place was highly recommended on Yelp, so we took the bait. Daughter had the Chickpea salad, she Hoovered it. I had the Tuscan (I can't remember the name) chicken sandwich with pesto. It was really good! I'm so mad I forgot half the sandwich in the rental car! I wish I could say something about the beer but we had a long drive back to Portland that evening. We love block 15! Their new outdoor seating section makes it easy and quick to sit outside and enjoy the sun, drinks and delicious foods. We visit frequently and have never met a staff member that doesn't go above and beyond. The food comes out hot, the staff is attentive and the restaurant is clean. Block 15 opened when I was in college so I've been coming here for quite a while. It's just a solid place all around. The service is great, the food is good, and the beer is wonderful! It's a great place to come and hang out with friends and family, and it's now considered a Corvallis staple. It's very informal which I like and has that old pub feel to it similar to a McMenamins. It's a great place to start or end the night or to meet up before or after games, although unsurprisingly it can get very busy! If you haven't tried this place, please give it a try. Their tasting room in the south town is also a must try as well! read more

I belong to a Jeep Club. We had a class in Corvallis and decided we would go to their brewery in South Town Corvallis. We had about 20 people in our group. They turned us away saying we would take away from their other customers, because there were too many of us. Needless to say we next door to the distillery and they welcomed us with open arms. Unfortunately I have not purchased their beer from the store since this incident and will not be doing any business with them in the future. It's too bad. Don't treat your paying customers like that or they won't be back. They also changed their menu since Covid and their open and closed policy since then leaves a lot to be desired. We gathered here with some friends before a big football game and this place was packed. Luckily our friends got a table for us and we sat immediately and got drinks started quickly. I ordered a gin cocktail which was really sweet and took me by surprise. Other wise the drink was tasty. I ordered a salad and the Friday special of a rack of ribs with fries and hush puppies ($19.99) and a salad with craisins and nuts. Other dishes we ordered included the earth burger, and the kimchi burger, service was great and food came about at a decent time (the restaurant was packed). The food was super good the ribs tasted like they were smoked for hours on end, and the hush puppies were crispy with whole corn kernels in them! Fries were crispy as well. The salad I ordered was delicious with all the nuts and the craisins. I heard the earth burger was good and the kimchi burger got a double thumbs up! I would definitely return here if I am in Corvallis, since it's close to Oregon State University. read more

Taproom- Deschutes St. Great location/excellent food/delicious beer... We were looking for a dog friendly restaurant on the way to Newport & I always enjoy trying new breweries. I was extremely impressed. First, we both chose salads, which in itself is not typical for brewery food. My wife had the Sesame Ginger Salad (excellent) & I had the Buffalo Chicken Salad. What I loved the most was it was fresh, clean & well balanced. It was pieces of fresh chicken grilled in a great tasting sauce. One of the best salads I have eaten in ages.The beer was excellent, and I live in San Diego around some of the best breweries, so I am pretty finicky about IPAs. Finally, what topped it off was the location. Overlooking open fields at the back of an industrial complex- just where a taproom belongs. read more

Stopped her before a college visit because we saw outdoor seating. The waitress was really helpful and friendly. The food was all very good as well. We started off with the chowder which was definitely better than the average chowder. I then got their special which was really good. Came here from just walking by on a overnight stay in the area, sat outside, had a very nice non rushed server who gave us plenty of time to decide and wait for other to join, splitting the bill was very easy and they could do it tableside. This place was ok. Kinda small inside. We were in town for training and thought we would give it a shot. Only one cider so that was disappointing because it certainly wasn't a cider to write home about. My friend liked the beers she got. The location was clean and welcoming. Service was friendly but we had to flag her down a couple of times. We ordered the happy hour nachos (served on a saucer) and French fries (about $7 for the side). The nachos were meh... they were ok just nothing special and no meat without adding $4-5. The French fries were cooked crispy and had something like a batter on them. They were delicious. I was feeling really very sick while we were here and French fries just sounded good. The fries were good and especially with the beer blue cheese dressing to dip them in. I think I personally would try other places but it was ok. If you like beer it may be good. read more

Overpriced, bad service, mediocre food. I had a large group so it was going to be kind of a long wait. The staff told us that we could sit in the game room if there was a table open and then order at the bar. This was fine except the tables in the game room were unbussed. Also, there was only one game lol. When we went to go order at the bar, the bartender was rather rude. I asked for a straw for my drink and she just kind of threw it at me. The drinks were good, but OVERPRICED. Tiny and weak. Food was OVERPRICED. This is a college town and food should not be that expensive for a casual restaurant with poor service. This place is one of the worst places in Corvallis. They kicked us out for no reason. I appreciate their attention to detail yet being the away team, they told us they could not sell us alcohol and told us to leave. All they said was please leave after we asked the server to see the bottle of wine we purchased. I told the waitress that this was not the bottle we bought and she grabbed our glasses and said leave. Headed back to my hometown to meet some friends for lunch. We decided on Bloc 15 downtown. What a total waste of money. Gin martini that I had to send back and the second one wasn't much better. The Caesar salad I ordered had wilted romaine , no garlic flavor at all, no anchovy flavor at all. For five dollars you can add smoked chicken. How wonderful I thought! It literally was an ounce or two of smoked chicken. It wasn't a chicken breast or a thigh. It was literally about 2 tablespoons full. So a bad martini a flavorless Caesar salad with an overly expensive add onto it, and with tip made this totally train wreck of a lunch to around $30. I really don't know how they stay in business. read more

I know they're really popular and my one review doesn't matter, but wouldn't that mean that they can afford to remake a sandwich? I was visiting a friend in Corvallis, and we met here for a late lunch. I decided to get the meatloaf sandwich with fries and ketchup. Everything was exceptional! The meatloaf is homemade, and it was so delicious! The fries were near perfect and were seasoned very well. But their ketchup is the best ketchup I've ever had!!
