Maybe I was not in a good mood when I stopped at Long timber for a small lunch. The staff were very nice and accommodated my order. I ordered their smoked wings, naked without any sauce and asked for blue cheese dressing to dip my naked wings in. The server brought me 5 wings but for the price of $13 they couldn't even put a little garnish on the plate like maybe a of couple of carrot sticks and a couple of celery sticks. I'm sure I've eaten 1 million pinfeathers in my lifetime while ordering wings but second wing in there was a giant pin feather on the wing. At that point I lost my appetite. The smoked wings were very tough and chewy. I don't know if that's because they were pre-frozen or possibly frozen after they were smoked and thawed. I just did not feel that the wings were fresh.. Next time I'm in Monroe, I will try another menu item as the wings are a hard pass for me. read more

Great and Friendly atmosphere. This place was actually full of people when we went on a Friday night. We made reservations ahead of time for a party of 8. They have a full bar and they brew their beer in house. Didn't have any of the beer cause I'm not a beer person but my husband seemed to like it. They have huge portions so it's worth the money. I got the 12oz flat iron steak (medium rare) tho it was slightly on the rarer side than I would've liked it was fine. The meat was good quality and juicy, the seasonal veggies were asparagus and squash seasoned nicely and not overcooked. The mashed potatoes were creamy and the gravy was light and not too heavy, I thought it could use a teensy more flavor. For the apps, I had the pretzel bites with beer cheese and fresh mustard. The pretzels had a nice crust and were fluffy inside. The cheese was flavorful and thick. I had some of the fries and they also have the same nice crust and fluffy potato inside. I had a craving for a root beer float so I ordered one for dessert. I didn't know they made the root beer in house too. It came with a couple scoops of ice cream. Kinda wish it came with chocolate syrup but it's good nonetheless. I heard they change up their menu every once in a while. I don't know. Was here on a Saturday and there were lots of staff, but also plenty of tables. I had a BBQ bacon burger. It was alright. Pretty standard, nothing special. Fries were typical beer battered frozen style fries. Got seated right away, but...wow. Service was ..not great. The woman who was my server was nice and upbeat ..but I barely saw her. When I ordered, then again a few minutes after someone else brought my food, and then ....not again. Empty drink glasses in front of me. Three of them actually. Plate with napkin on it. Lots of people walking by. See me not eating, not drinking, staring. No one stops. No one asks if I need anything. I don't know, maybe my waitress went home? I'm still writing this from the table; I haven't been able to pay yet. If I ever do actually leave, I don't know if I'll be back. Food quality isn't worth this level of disinterest and lack of service. I recently had the fish and chips ($24) and was served two shriveled filets inside a heavy greasy batter, served with a tiny cup of flavorless slaw and lukewarm, bland fries. Had to hunt down silverware. About nine-ten months ago, I tried the "chef's special creation" pot stickers, which was really bad. Burgers have been OK, but that's pretty hard to get wrong. Mixed vegetable sides have been raw. The servers have never asked how the food is/was, which might help me feel valued as a (five visit) guest, or that they are aspiring for something beyond awesome architecture and decor. I really want to like this place, but beyond its just OK brews, has been disappointing. read more

Long Timber is a favorite family gathering spot because of the atmosphere, food, drinks and service. In the winter, we call ahead to request a table in the wine bar near the fire. The salads change, but my current fav is the southwest steak salad. It's just the right spicy & satisfying and GF. Be sure to ask about their specials, and don't be surprised if you need a box because the portions are generous. My crew love the giant cookie desserts a la mode, but we tried the crème brûlée and it was equally wonderful. read more

The food, ambience, and staff are all amazing. Not your average burgers and beer ( although they have that). The chicken wings with Korean sauce is just amazing, ditto the special which was a Cajun chicken sandwich with avocado, lettuce, and tomato on a grilled bun. Wanted to share updated photos of their menu since I have yet to see any shared within the last year or so. We visited on a Friday evening around 530-6pm. Waited a few minutes. Grabbed some drinks to bring back to the table. Got a private table in a side room which was so beautifully finished and relaxing. The restaurant was buzzing in and out with customers. Everything seemed to be flowing well. We got drinks, waters, refills, and great service from our waiter. He was very kind, knowledgeable, and prompt. We got a special; prime rib dinner, a burger entree, and an LTB chicken bowl. Y U M. We all very much enjoyed our meals. We also got a plate of their logger fries (covered in bacon, cheese, & sour cream) delicious. It's definitely a pricey place for both entrees, apps, and drinks, but a fun experience and visit nonetheless. Very filling & some leftovers even. Nice clean, comfortable logger-themed facility in Monroe. Havn't tried this restaurant for about two years. Originally thought the menu was too "heavy". Overall unpleasant experience ! Server was flippant, called my 87 year old mother "dear" (female server late teens / early 20s) Delivery of food was slow and extremely unappealing upon presentation. The pork cutlets were spread with an unfortunate coloured "gravy" , the mashed potatoes were lacklustre in both taste and appearance as well as served lukewarm. The Ahi tuna sandwich was a block of tuna that was extremely dry with perhaps a teaspoon full of the acclaimed tamari coleslaw. The shrimp linguini was described as "fine". Our server never checked back with us and we were in need of a pasta spoon, Parmesan, condiments, and salt & pepper. The wait staff seemed to be busier entertaining each other near the kitchen than attending to customers. (Though we still left her a 20% gratuity !) We spent over $100. on a meal we wished we had never experienced. I could go on but since I have no positive comments or recommendations I will end here. read more

We were seated and waited for over 15 minutes with absolutely no acknowledgment by the multiple servers that walked right by, with no comment, no we will be with you soon, nothing. We have no idea if the food was good, or even the water for that matter because we never got any. The place is gorgeous inside and there were quite a few items we wanted to try but we eat out, a lot, for the experience and the food. Have to say what a gorgeous building this is ! The ambiance is unbeatable. Big timber and tall, tall ceilings. Plenty of homely feelings when you dine. Service was great. We had a Caesar wrap and salad. And ultimate grilled cheese and salad. We got fries last time and they are good. The ultimate grilled cheese is going to be different. Nailed it! This place rocks! Awesome decor and theme -- amazing food and beer! The table tops are all live edge; cool saws are everywhere. The Long Timber burger did not disappoint! Two deliciously prepared Pattie's that appear to be hand made and perfectly seasoned and cooked. Melt in your mouth bun and perfect amount of accoutrement round out this tasty delight. When you bite into it and say to yourself "exceptional!" You know you picked the right place to eat. The beer is equally impressive. I love the fact that they have a balanced beer menu that isn't too heavy with hop beers! I got a flight and enjoyed each beers unique and delicious flavor. Just like every other review states, this place is gorgeous. They took forever to open and I can see why. Details down to the last chair. The beer was pretty good. Nothing special. The service was depressed and lacking positive energy; everyone seemed to be walking around with rainclouds above their heads, so that usually means poor management. Usually. We got the jalapeno wings and the sauce was insanely spicy, which I do love, but the lumpy (avocado?) texture of it was really REALLY strange with the stringy kinda tough consistency of the smoked wings. I'd imagine that sauce is EXCELLENT on a taco salad or something similar, but didn't work with the wings. In my opinion. There's a good chance we'll be back since it's on our way to Eugene, but I'm not in a hurry. read more

We came here as a group of six a little before 4pm on a Saturday. It is built and decorated with an Oregon logger theme. There are a lot of construction details and memorabilia to check out. For example, there is a large sawblade embedded into the entry way concrete. It was busy but there were still quite a few tables open. We were taken upstairs to a table that only seats four and left. We had to come back downstairs to ask for a table that seated six. We perused the menu, ordered drinks and appetizers. We ordered two of the Irish logger smothered house cut fries with sour cream on the side. The drinks were delivered and we placed our orders. A short while later, the appetizers arrived. They both came with a mound of sour cream on top which we scraped off. Our server came by a few minutes later and apologized. He offered to have them remade which we declined. Luckily, we had one member of our party that loves sour cream. She got the top off both appetizers. Other than the sour cream, the rest of our group also enjoyed the appetizers. Our entrees arrived in a timely fashion and everything looked really good. We had ordered a wide variety of entrees and everyone enjoyed them. We were really irritated by flies that kept bothering our table. We were not sure where they came from, but inside, they should take measures to reduce and prevent this. Overall, it was a good experience with a few quirks. The building and decor are really cool. The food, we would consider four stars but the negatives make this place three stars. They have some work to do. We would recommend checking it out but be prepared. read more

He visited as part of a date night. We got there around 6 pm and it was fairly but not too busy. We were seated right away, our waitress was phenomenal!! I wish I would've written down her name to reference here. She provided friendly and fast service. The food was absolutely amazing !! We split a burger double patty for 20$ which wasn't too bad. This was our first time here and we really enjoyed the hot toddy and the beer cheese macaroni was a huge hit . We truly enjoyed our excellent service from a very delightful server named Rylee . She had other tables and we never felt like she was too busy or rushed to take care of us all . Great job !! Some of the reviews complain of the prices ? It's the way today is ; expensive! This place seems out of place in this little town, but we decided to try. The inside is fine. Feels manufactured rather than authentic, like the rest of the town. The waitress was perky, efficient, and friendly. DANG. 17.00 for a grilled cheese sandwich??? 20.00 for fish and chips? Haha. I am surprised it survives. I went with the pork slider special. 20.00, but a large portion. Nice presentation- just too much for one person. The pork was dry. The bread was good- not homemade. The sauce was fine- just like any bottled sauce. The coleslaw was ordinary. Nothing special. My friend said the fish and chips was good. She liked that they were battered and not breaded. The two of us got out of there for 60.00 with tip for two entrees and a soda, and 1 beer. For basically, bar food? Sadly, I don't think we will be back. I am not really sure what the "Average" reviews are all about. I almost never give 5 stars. This was a 5 star + experience. Not only was this newly minted establishment simply stunning inside, but the food was fantastic and our service was equally awesome. We shared the Humus Plate, which is not usually anything to write about...But WOW, Homemade Humus, Beautiful presentation and just a gorgeous appetizer!! I had the "Build Your Own" Carving plate. Which came with two meats (I chose the pork and brisket) and a side (I grabbed two...Camp Beans and Garlic Mashers). Totally impressed with the flavor and tenderness of BOTH meats. And while the brisket was a bit dry, it was still very flavorful. The pork was juicy and tender and full of great smoked flavor. Of course I had to try one of the brews and it did not disappoint either. I had the Belgian Cream ale with spices...Which was MMmmmmm Good! Last but not least, desert! We had the Gingerbread apple upside down cake. Also FANTASTIC. It would have been just really good, but the sour cream whipped cream atop it made this an epic treat!
