I think this place offers some delicious coffee varieties. However pleasant my experience was - the staff offered warm smiles and the service was speedy - I was just not a fan of their Cold Brew. I drink a lot of coffee. But their Cold Brew just did not do it for me. It had a bitter and pasty after taste that I definitely did not enjoy. I know people who swear by this place. And I must admit that I really enjoyed the Iced Latte that my friend ordered. So i'm surely going to return and try their other stuff. This review may be updated in the future! VTM coffee was great. The first time I went it wasn't filled up all the way. I was pretty sad. The drink was nice and strong, but a "little" sweet for me. I usually have a cold brew that's why, but I like to try Vietnamese coffee from all coffee stores I go to just to compare. Not 30 seconds into my first bite of avocado toast, an employee comes rushing over and orders me to leave immediately. He said that there's no eating or drinking inside. I think this place has great coffee. I had their mint mojito coffee and it was pretty good. I wish however it had a little more kick to the coffee flavor. It felt like the mint and the sugar in it was too overwhelming. On top of that, the ice was just added too heavily. So I would have to give it a 4/5. The place was hard to find. The yelp address is completely inaccurate, so I had to call in and ask them where they were at. They're next to the new playground at the Spectrum and on the newly finished side of Target. I think if they were re-located where many people walk by at the Spectrum, this place would do extremely well. Anyways, kudos to this place for its uniqueness! Undrinkable. The VTM coffee is so strong it made me gag every sip. I had to pour a gallon of milk before it was somewhat drinkable. That coffee lasted me 4 days... Also I get it, you're supposed to put a lot of ice in a Vietnamese coffee but putting ice to the point where I can't even fit the straw in the cup, that's over the line ... My girlfriend seemed to enjoy her lychee tea drink so that's why I give it an extra star. But honestly it's definitely not a coffee I'll order again. read more

Came here for the ice blknd mojito coffee. You can definitely taste hints of mint in the black coffee. No cream or sugar needed. I've been to the location at the google building as well and they use the crushed ice which I personally favor. Pick up a stamp card and collect away. If you want to be punched in the face to get woken up, opt for the VTM iced coffee here instead. It'll give you the same effect without the black eye! Man, the coffee here is SOOOOOO good!!!! And it's REALLY, REALLY strong. I got one drink and it lasted me three days since I just poured some out and diluted it with some hot water each morning. I tried the LVTM that my friend got and this is going to be my go-to drink from now on. It's lighter (has less espresso I think?), and has no condensed milk, so it's more bitter, but it's a really good bitterness that I really like!! It's not burnt-bitter like a lot of other coffee places. They also have a stamp card, but it's 12 purchases to a free drink, unlike the usual 10 at boba shops. read more

I love the mango delight tea and get it every time. The mango bits are unique. My gripe is the portion served has changed since I first got it. Now it's mostly ice for the large size. It tastes like they use real matcha, and the toast was STACKED with the toppings. So yummy. My boyfriend got a cold brew and the brekkie bowl, which he said were good too! They moved the cups, then stacked them all together, then touched them all 2 more times to get them in a line again. Meaning they touched your cup tops multiple times and the inside of your cups touched multiple other surfaces - cross contamination. Just keep your cups in a line in the first place, there's no reason to keep moving them back and forth, up and down, stacking and un stacking the cups and touching them multiple times before you've even made the drink. It's not like any of the baristas washed their hands in the 30 minutes that I was standing by the counter watching the drunks getting made. They then proceeded to stack the cups again and dropped two in the floor. Because of this it also caused them to become disorganized. We got our drinks 10 minutes away from each other because they lost my cup due to their stacking and moving of cups. I hate that I tried this new place and I wish I didn't come here. read more

If you need a kick for the long day ahead get a Viet coffee from blkdot coffee! It is bomb! I usually make my own Viet coffee at home because I like it extra strong. Blkdot coffee version of traditional Viet coffee is extra strong. I even got the drink with less ice because I thought it'll be watered down too much, but I was wrong I should have gotten full ice. I ended up having to add more of my own ice because it was so strong! I got a large cup and that drink can probably be split into three servings with a cup full of ice each. SOOO STRONG SOOOOOO GOOD! We haven't discovered many good coffee spots since moving to Irvine, but this is definitely a good one! Just to help any newcomers, this is located on the end of the Spectrum by the Apple store, and is right in front of the colorful children's net playground (we had trouble finding it at first). The coffee is really delicious, and has a nice sweet note to it. My wife had the Vietnamese coffee, and I had a latte. Both were great, and it was awesome to see the barista make each coffee with some TLC. Shows how proud they are with their craft (and so so admirable and worthy of praise). The staff has been incredibly kind and friendly. This makes the location stand out above MANY. Great coffee, great service. That's a recipe for success. The location is a cozy little shop, with a few outdoor seating options. They offer some pastries, along with hot espresso drinks, and cold iced coffee drinks as well. Overall this is definitely one of the good places to visit if you're in the area! Definitely recommend. read more

Pretty unique coffee styles! But i usually buy my caramel macchiato from 85 degree bakery right next door!! Delicious. Perfect blend. I came into BLKdot because 85 degree bakery had too long of a line. Their caramel macchiato tastes watery and bland here!!! What!!! BLK totally failed on their Chai Tea Latte. I am a fan of Chai and I was eager to try BLK for the first time because it was a super cute and unique coffee place. I ordered a Chai Tea Latte with coconut milk which totaled like $5.40. I noticed after I was given my drink that there was a carton of Oregon Chai on the counter. I asked the employee if my Chai was made from that carton and she said yes. I expected for the amount I was charged for my Chai Tea Latte for the mix to at least be made in house. WOW! Ive never had a horrible experience like i just had right now! On tuesday january 2024 i go in to pick up an order. Its around 9:10 AM and i go to ask for my order to the guy that is heavyset with a goatee and a mustache brown hair long on top short on sides, and i ask him for my order. Hes listening to music as hes preparing orders and he rolls his eyes and says "ill get it to you right now" super rudely! I go wait for 5- 10 min it still isnt done and i see 3 WORKERS DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TALKING TO EACHOTHER WHILE THE BIG GUY IS SERVING 10-15 cups of coffee on his own. I walk over to the workers laughing doing nothing, and i ask them "hey is my order ready?" SUPER POLITELY and tell them my name. The heavyset man replies INSANELY RUDE "bro" he rolls his eyes and sighs super loudly "i already told you im making your order what dont you understand about that?" LIKE WHAT??
