This is Vietnamese coffee shop. My friend and I tried hot LVTM and iced Matcha latte. Only place I've experienced Vietnamese coffee before was Lee's sandwhich. The taste was much smoothier compared to coffee at Lee's sandwhich, but it's still strong. I'm not sure if they use quality beans. Matcha latre was too sweet for her. Loved the sizing of their drinks - it's a very generous amount with reasonable price. The VTM was tasty! I waited for some of the ice to melt a little as it was a little too sweet, once I did it was perfect! I also got the avocado toast. Loved the thickness of the artisan bread. The amount of avocado was generous which I was thankful for as some places put the bare minimum. The combo of the pepper and the tomatoes was tasty! You'll thank me later... I'm normally an iced americano kind of guy...light cream 3 splenda. A friend told me to try the Vietnamese Iced Coffee...holy smokes that crap was amazing. I love coffee and I love it with some body on it and they have got this combo right. Strong coffee balanced with sweetened condensed milk to smooth it off. But admit it who doesn't love sweetened condensed milk? Think the tres leches of coffee and that's what you get when you take your first sip of their Vietnamese coffee. read more

I stopped by BLk dot for some coffee to fuel a busy day of errands. The location is easy to get to with plenty of parking and the space inside is well lit and inviting. They have an great selection of drinks to choose from, I decided to go with the Vietnamese coffee. I barely had time to check in after I paid when my drink was ready for me. The coffee was great! Rich, creamy and dark chocolatey with a note of bitterness to balance out the sweetness. Fast and friendly service, a good caffeine kick exactly what I needed to get my day going. If you want coffee that isn't drowned by syrup or creamer, definitely give BLKdot a try! I've gotten the VTM and a vanilla latte and it was strong coffee. I've gotten the Mexi Avocado Toast both times I've gone. First time there wasn't corn on top but it was still really good. Second time, I ended with a little bit of plastic wrap in pico which is kind of disappointing. Definitely check them out for their coffee! read more

Loved the iced VTM tiger I got and I plan on coming back for it but the cashier that took my order and made my drink was unnecessarily rude. Once my first drink was put out I went to grab it and there was coffee and brown sugar syrup dripping down the side, that's nothing to get upset over but when I asked for a napkin she was clearly annoyed at me for asking while she was making my second drink and glared at me. I've been frequenting the Google campus location and was super excited to see this new location pop up near the tustin market place. I was looking for a good weekend spot to grab and go and fooled myself into thinking i had found it. I went once, it was fine. I went a second time it was the opposite of fine. Drinks (3 stars) Five stars for the (hot) latte on visit #1 One star for the Iced White Chocolate on visit #2 Service (0 stars) Neutral on visit #1 Zero on visit #2 Consistency Five stars (it tasted like a standard latte) on visit #1 Zero stars on visit #2 - I don't understand how the drink can taste SWEETER and MORE SYRUPY when I asked for it to be less sweet. The parameter of the cup had a clear syrup driping down. Flavor Five stars (it tasted like a standard latte) on visit #1 Two stars for visit #2 I don't like places that use syrups for Mochas, so besides it being obscenely sweet I wish they would use a chocolate ganache. I've upgraded my review from a 4 star to a 5 star review because I find myself coming back here again and again for their LVTM coffee! I actually prefer it hot because it's been cold out and the hot LVTM is very smooth and I feel like you can taste the coffee more than you would with it iced. Had a chance to finally check out this place after hearing the hype about it for a long time, and we were impressed! They have a large selection of iced and hot coffees. The usual stuff, along with certain awesome additions like Vietnamese coffee, light Vietnamese coffee, and Spanish lattes! Treated ourselves to a iced Spanish latte with half sweetener and it was very very good! Even though it was very busy this Sunday afternoon, they handled the lines well ans the drinks were ready in five or so minutes! Can't wait to come back to try more things. read more

This is the place for strong Vietnamese iced coffee. Their signature drink (VTM) will definitely keep you focused... or give you those caffeine jitters (in that case, LVTM is for you). Decent place to study or work, but don't expect to be able to spread your things out too much -- the tables/counters are kinda small. There is one large communal table, but space is still tight when there's 8 people sitting there with their books/laptops. read more

I have enjoyed their avocado toast, tuna bowl, VTM, light VTM, Thai tea latte, VTMatcha, matcha latte, mango delight green tea, and lychee peach black tea. All tasty. Expensive. You can expect a bit of a wait, especially when food is involved. They appear understaffed and stressed more lately, so customer service quality varies. I am disappointed they have either stopped giving the military discount with ID, or there is no consistency or clarity between locations on what their policy is. Sometimes they can't find the dicount because "the system glitches a lot" (even when they're shown a recent text receipt with the men in uniform discount), they only do it for actual "men IN uniform", or they just simply give it. Maybe the franchise should stop the confusion so it can set better expectations for their military patrons. read more

The parking is great because it's in the marketplace. Didn't try the wifi so not sure how that works, but if you're here for studying it's very nice! There are a few outlets for those who need them as well. It wasn't too crowded when I came in. I found a table very easily. But this could be because I came in the summer and on a weekday. Vietnamese coffee is making a mark in many of the new specialty coffee shops. BLKdot is up there with the best and it has one of my favorite drinks which is the iced mint mojito coffee. This location gets pretty crowded with people staying to study so seating can get limited but it's right next to many good eating spots. The only reason why I can't give this spot 5 stars is because I don't really think their food is all that great. They try to take a nice twist on the ban mi sandwiches but I like everything in them except the meat which is a crucial part! The meat inside their sandwich's are sub par in taste and i actually rather get a ban mi sandwich next door. read more

I love the coffee, but nearly every single time I go there I get a large VTM and there is always approximately 1-2 inches of space between the coffee and the lid. I know this might sound like a small complaint, but I'm at the point where I'm just not going to go there anymore. if you are paying 6+ $ for a cup of coffee you have the right to expect the full amount. BLKdot Coffee is one of my favorite coffee places in the OC. This one is located at the marketplace, right next to Pieology, Sawleaf, and Corner Bakery. Watching the college students studying here in groups makes me miss my college years! I usually get a basic latte with oat milk, and it's always on point. Nice coffee shop located in the Irvine Market Place. They are across from the Edwards Theater. This is a brand new, clean and sleek coffee shop. I sampled the hibiscus iced tea today and it was very tasty. I plan to come back for coffee soon. Prices seem very reasonable, the staff is friendly and there is free parking. EV chargers too! Came in on Veterans Day (11/11/22) around 11am and was helped by an employee with dirty blonde hair in a ponytail. I told her I wanted a "regular hot uji matcha latte with oat milk, no foam." She responded by asking, "hot or iced?" And then I repeated myself again, saying hot. Then, she went on and asked me if I wanted a regular or large... and I said, regular. THEN she asked me again, what kind of milk? I had to repeat myself again by saying oat milk. She clearly wasn't attentive to anything I was saying. I didn't mention the "no foam" again because I wanted to see if she heard me or not. Waited for our drinks and it came out WITH foam, of course. I told another male employee that it was supposed to be no foam and the female employee comes over to me after remaking my drink and says, "I'm going to pour this in front of you just so you can see there's no foam." THEN tells me that their matcha is usually foamy implying that she can't scrape off the foam. I replied, "Oh, I've always asked for no foam before so I didn't know it was a problem." She didn't respond. All in all, HORRIBLE attitude and customer service here. UPDATE: Emailed the manager regarding the incident but no response. It's been a few weeks now. read more

It's amazing how many good cafes are out there now days. Add this one to the list as it is right there among the good ones. It's located at the Tustin ranch market at the food court area. I was going to be a little different and break my usual trend of getting a latte or a mocha for a first time coffee shop. Instead I tried the Vietnamese coffee with half and half. The service was very good as the barista made sure i likes the coffee several times or else he was going to make me a new one. Along with the coffee I got myself one of the last blueberry muffins left at the displace case. The coffee was so bold and dense that I loved it! I didn't even have to add any Splenda to it since it had some sweetness to it already. The milk makes it a little better in my opinion as the texture gets creamier with it. The muffin was okay, it was the last one so I assume it was prepared earlier in the day, but on the bright side there were lots of actual blueberries in the bottom of the muffin. read more

I like that they opened another location! The one I used to go to is by Google. I usually get the regular VTM and am always satisfied with it. This time, I tried the LVTM with soy milk and it was still pretty strong! Overall, if you like strong Vietnamese coffee, you'll really like this place. Honestly have not tried any other drink aside from their coffee so this review is strictly for their coffee. Coffee is more on the pricier side - since it is so strong through, it'll last you awhile. Whenever I want some strong coffee that actually works, I'll go here. read more

I came here to study on a Friday. It's a nice environment to do work and people watch. The interior is very hip and cute. I definitely prefer this location over the Irvine one. I have only visited the location in the Google Center off Jamboree in Irvine, but I can assume all are the same. I LOVE Iced Tea and this coffee shop has the best strong Black Iced Tea around. BUT! The Large is about 16oz - a pint glass size and cost $4.60. That's more than a Trenta at Starbucks, and half the size! I went in yesterday and they raised their prices almost a dollar! This isn't gasoline! I ended up paying $5.50 for a medium sized non-refillable run of the mill strong Iced tea. That's ridiculously over-priced! Especially for a standard non-fancy drink. EXPENSIVE EXPENSIVE EXPENSIVE. I unfortunately cannot spend this kind of money for an Iced tea and will not be a patron again. :-/ read more
