Coffee is fine, the store itself is clean and really cute inside, but I wouldn't really consider this a comfortable place to study for hours as the seating is limited, but they do have plenty of outdoor seating. The reason why I'd come back is for the Hot Avocado Toast. I thought, "I could make this at home." but no, it wouldn't taste as good and the bread is different so my home version would not turn out as good as theirs. Parking lot is big, but it's next door to Trader Joe's so it might get crazy. read more

Tried for the first time yesterday 4/13/24 around after 12:10 ish. Don't think I'd come back mainly due to the service. The person ringing me up didn't seem very enthused or knew much about the drinks. Could have been still learning but a proper employee would go find answers. No greeting upon entering their store, they all just ignore you. When the girl finished making the drink and handed off, she literally YELLED my name (I was standing right there lol) and put the drink down abruptly then walked away. No thank you, no eye contact, no calling the drink name. Very uncalled for and rude. I ordered the LVTNM (?) hot latte. It's a "Vietnamese light hot coffee". It wasn't too bad, I liked the espresso flavor. I got it with oatmilk. Paid $8+ with tip for the regular size w/ oatmilk .... I don't like these places that ask for a tip at the beginning, you give them one to support workers and then get subpar service. Probably college Kids acting like they're too cool for school. Everything seemed way over priced for what it is. Especially the food. One and done. read more

The inside of Blk Dot Coffee reminds me of a Starbucks but more local. I got the Sea Salt Jasmine Tea and it was so good! It was refreshing and not overly sweet. The sea salt made the tea slightly creamy which was great. This location had seating inside and outside so you could definitely study or hangout with a friend and chat. Drinks also came out fairly quick and the cashier was friendly. read more

This place is my go to after my Trader Joe's run. (Conveniently located next door) I love their Vietnamese coffee, so good. This place does not accept cash. It's clean and spacious, I can see myself stopping by to read a good book or to do a lil light work. I'll be back to try their avocado toast or other breakfast items, they look so yummy. read more

You know it's a real Vietnamese coffee when you can feel how strong it hits on the first sip. I love the bold and rich flavor of the coffee beans that paired perfectly with the sweetened condensed milk. The VTM is consistently good. As a regular at BlkDot, I have tried different locations and can't go wrong with their VTM. The VTM Einspänner is less strong compared to the VTM. read more

One of my fav coffee spots, esp for Viet coffee. I usually go to this location or the one in Long Beach. All the drinks are honestly really good, I usually get an iced VTM with sea salt foam on top and a hot honey avocado toast. Their breakfast items and pastries are so good, they even have instant VTM packets to buy ($15) and they're so good. Service is good and pretty fast even when they're busy. read more

I really didn't enjoy the coffee I had gotten. We ordered the sea salt cold brew & original Vietnamese coffee (unpictured). one was too sweet the other was too salty, they just didn't taste good. service is fine and the interior is really pretty. there's alot of these BLK dot coffees popping up now so I wanted to try it but there's plenty of better coffee places around here to go to instead. read more

Loveddddd. Came here while I was visiting my hometown. I ended up coming here three times during my three day visit lol. I ordered the LVTM half sweetened. It was soooo good. I definitely prefer the hot version as the cold one seemed filled with just a ton of ice, was more bitter, and seemed less balanced. The inside is cute and the staff is patient. I didn't know what to get, but they walked me through their drinks. The caffeine is no joke, but with two kids, it was perfect for me lol. I'll definitely be back!! read more

I come here alot and order from doordash alot but I'm at the point where I'm done ordering from this spot, it's a constant amount of times where they mess up my order. Don't get me wrong the drinks here are amazing but just the fact that I have to keep saying that my order is incorrect is annoying. Or having to reorder my order because it wasn't done correctly the 1st time and having the second order wrong as well. Very disappointing! read more

Finally went today!! Ambiance is very sleek modern feel. They have about four tables inside to sit & more in the patio. It is right next door to Trader Joe's so get your coffee fix before your grocery fix. I ordered the Vietnamese coffee & it is sooooo strong! I didn't get to finish it but I can save it for later. New, modern coffee shop next to Trader Joes. I stopped by for brunch and found that they have great food menu. Breakfast bowls were really nice. I didn't have coffee but the fruit drinks are also good. Plenty of parking space in the lot. Staff was nice. There are plenty of cool merchandises! read more

My husband and I stopped by here after a quick errand at TJ's. We ordered the VTM tiger with less ice, and it was definitely as strong as I'd expected it to be. They didn't didn't have the topping that it came with, but they offered crystal boba to replace it. I was more than okay with that since crystal boba lasts longer overnight, and there was no way we'd finish this coffee in one sitting. Will definitely come back to try their other drinks! read more

Blk Dot Coffee is well known, and I was very excited to try out this location is Cypress! Located in a very nice plaza next to trader Joe, a lot of parking spaces. Ambience: 8/10 Small, minimalistic coffee shop. Clean, but there's not a lot of seating area. Service: 8/10 Friendly, nice Drinks: 9/10 I ordered the thai pumpkin spice coffee. Drove by on my weekly Costco run and saw this new coffee spot and had to give it a try. Of course a new cold brew is a must. Upon walking in it's laid out very nicely, modern and a very clean look. Was greeted upon walking in and seemed like a very pleasant/cool place to hang out. This was my first time having their cold brew and I was pleasantly surprised, this was actually one of my favorites. Always look for a nice dark, chocolate bitter flavor and it did not disappoint. Also the coffee didn't take long to get, not that it would being a cold brew but the service was prompt. Now to why I gave this 4 stars. If I was to grade the coffee itself I would've given this a 5. However while waiting in line and taking my order, the cashier who was very nice was interrupted multiple times during my order by a guy telling her how to do her job better. I could tell it made her uncomfortable and think this could've been handled better, not in front of me making her uncomfortable. Other than that it's a nice place to give a shot. read more

Had coffee twice from here so far both hot and iced. I usually get a latte and they take customizations. Its super convenient ordering ahead because the line here is nuts. Probably since it's right next door to trader joes. This coffee shop is better than most and on par with Starbucks prices. Love how you can also sit outside under shade. read more

Iced VTM is literally 90% ice Service was pretty slow and the worker making the drinks did not seem like she wanted to be there. Also got a double espresso to try out their bean taste and sorry to say it was disgusting. Tastes like cheap burnt beans. Definitely not a true specialty coffee shop that invests in a good coffee roaster supplier. Otherwise the cafe space is really clean and minimal. Location next to a Trader Joe's is a plus. read more

The coffee is good, I always go here because of how good their coffee is. However, their staff needs to be trained for customer service. Everyone there seems not to enjoy what they're doing, no greeting, no smile, and they're not welcoming adjustments to drinks nicely. Had a magnificent time here enjoying their Hot Honey Avocado Toast, LVT Matcha (Light Vietnamese Coffee that was able to get me through a night shift), Ultimate Brekkie Bowl and Spanish Latte that my friend loved! The merchandise's here are so cute and I loved the service, ambiance, as well as the trendy minimalistic vibe. Finally it's open! Located at the same shopping plaza as Trader Joe's - which is very convenient and right next door. They have plenty of items to choose from caffeinated to non caffeinated drinks. They also have variety of food items and merchandise. Service was good and was created when I walked in. Love how it's bright in the inside and there's plenty of seats outside with umbrellas. read more

This coffee just opened in the city of Cypress! They are known for their VTM (Vietnamese Coffee), but I ended up trying their iced spicy honey oat milk latte! I think I just found my new favorite coffee! It has a good balance of spiciness and sweetness (not too sweet). The price is a bit high, but then so is everything else nowadays. It cost about $6.25 for my latte. The staff was friendly and made the drinks well, even though they were new and just opened. It's a small coffee shop with a few chairs and tables inside, but there are more tables and chairs outside in their patio. They are located right next to Trader Joe's and across from Costco, that's a win in my book! I will definitely come back to try their iced VTM and the VTM with matcha! read more

I recently had an underwhelming experience at BlkDot, and it's safe to say that I won't be returning anytime soon. I had placed a mobile order for an avocado toast, which I thought would be a quick and easy pick-up, given that I had ordered it 25 minutes in advance. However, things didn't go as planned. When I arrived at the store right on time to pick up my order, I was surprised to find that my avocado toast was nowhere near ready. The store wasn't busy at all, with only a couple of customers waiting around, so there was no excuse for the delay. I patiently waited for a good 10 minutes, but still, there was no sign of my order being prepared or called out. To make matters worse, another employee finally approached me and asked what I was waiting for. I explained that I had ordered avocado toast, and to my dismay, they informed me that it had been sitting behind their counter all along. Employee had the audacity to tell me to check in next time when I already did with one of the other employees. This lack of attention to my order was disappointing and frustrating - not even an apology from anyone. As for the avocado toast itself, it was just okay in terms of taste. I've had better avocado toast elsewhere, and I can't help but compare it unfavorably to the one at the Irvine Spectrum location. On a positive note, I did try the VTM coffee, which was pretty good. However, a single good coffee can't salvage the overall experience. In conclusion, my visit to BlkDot was marred by poor service, a lengthy wait for a simple order, and an average-quality avocado toast. With other options available, I see no reason to return to this location when there are better choices out there. read more

I saw this establishment next to Trader Joe's in Cypress, California. I'm not a coffee drinker but I was curious as to what else they had. Alas, I saw a sign saying NO CASH meaning that this establishment does not accept cash as a form of payment. I consider that to be a major fail. Once I saw that sign I decided not to give this establishment any of my business. Though there is certainly some convenience with cashless forms of payment, I am absolutely against the establishment of a cashless society. I believe that a cashless business should be a clientless business and ought to either start accepting cash or else go out of business. Unfortunately my state of California has not yet passed legislation to make it compulsory for businesses to accept cash as a form of payment. Businesses that refuse to accept cash are discriminating against certain parts of the population, namely those who deal exclusively in cash as well as the unbanked and debanked. It is my policy to give any business establishment that does not accept cash as a form of payment the lowest possible score. I would be absolutely thrilled if people would boycott business establishments that refuse to accept cash as a form of payment including this establishment. If I was to assign a letter grade as is done in school, this establishment would get an F. read more

Blk Dot is good, but not for your wallet... Parking is ample, the plaza is much larger than it has any reason for with the number of businesses here lol. You won't have any issues with finding parking if you're ok walking for a little bit. Most of the parking is taken up by Trader Joe's customers. The inside of the business is modern and welcoming, if a little bit "corporate". It's fine, it's coffee. Seems like they staff well here. There are times when there's a rush, other times there's no customers that it's kind of funny that my drink is ready BEFORE I even pay for it. I usually get their VTM or LVTM, which is their take on the Vietnamese coffee. As an Asian who loves Vietnamese coffee, they have a very strong form of it and it's pretty good. It's not as good as actual Vietnamese coffee places, but it's good enough. Their food though... their bagels and avocado toast do taste good but oh my gosh, they are SO expensive. You can't go wrong with quality here but you do pay for it. Overall, I do enjoy going here, but I have to limit myself because it does do a number on my wallet. Once in a while, it's a great option for some high quality breakfast snacks and coffee, but you just can't go every day or you won't need a wallet anymore since you won't have anything to fill it. read more

BLK Dot Coffee is hands down one of the best coffee spots I've been to! I tried their chocolate mint VTM coffee, which is a seasonal drink, and wow, it's incredible. The flavor is smooth, rich, and has that perfect hint of mint that makes it taste like the holidays in a cup. You can tell they put real care into their drinks because it's honestly one of the best coffees I've ever had. The employees are super friendly, upbeat, and genuinely helpful -- they make you feel welcome the second you walk in. The shop itself has such a good vibe -- it's clean, bright, and has that cozy coffeehouse energy that makes you want to stay and hang out for a while. And I have to mention the merch! Their shirts have the funniest sayings on them, totally my kind of humor. It's such a cool touch that shows how much personality and creativity this place has. We decided to go for a nice afternoon pick-me-up and ordered their mojito cold brew without the whip. However, I was a bit disappointed because the flavor seemed a bit diluted and didn't have the boldness that I remembered from previous visits. The Vietnamese coffee einspänner turned out too sweet for my wife, which was a bit unexpected considering she was hoping for a more balanced flavor. Service 10/10 Friendly, pleasant, and helpful service. Ambiance 9/10 Clean and minimal design. On a Friday early, there was only 2-3 customers studying or reading. Great place to study with good free wifi, outlets, and a bathroom. There's also plenty of parking and lots of restaurants and eateries walking distance. I've gone to the Coffee Code in Fullerton, but it's always quite crowded when I've gone and I've struggled to find a table. Already planning to go back to this location in Buena Park.

The Iced Vanilla Latte was excellent! rich and flavorful, yet clean and smooth without being overly heavy or creamy. The waffle was also delicious, topped with fresh fruit and ice cream, making it a perfect treat to share or enjoy as dessert. The service was friendly and welcoming throughout the visit. I'll definitely be coming back for another Iced Vanilla Latte.

The colors were really nice and it looked refreshing. Unfortunately, the flavor just didn't hit for me. It tasted very watered down and bland, even after stirring it. I've had Thai tea from a lot of different places before, and this was the first one that really lacked flavor. That being said, I'm still willing to give this place another try because the atmosphere and service were genuinely pleasant. The Biscoff cookie butter latte caught my attention and honestly looked really good, so I'd come back to try that next time. Hoping this was just an off day because the shop itself has potential.

Other than occasionally it gets SO crowded and noisy here especially near the afternoon/Fridays/weekends... (so not ideal for quiet studying or working remotely, at least IMHO) As for food, now that's a REAL highlight: * breakfast burrito - okay, this is hands down the best I've had at a simple cafe. Nothing crazy like a restaurant but definitely met beyond my expectations. I really think it's the bacon and quality of ingredients (good even without the hot sauce) * smoked salmon avocado toast - not the exact name but very filling and huge portions. It came across as dismissive and honestly pretty rude. I don't mind ordering from a screen, but basic customer interaction still matters. A simple greeting or taking a few seconds to answer a question would have made a huge difference. Great drinks can only carry a place so far--hopefully the customer service improves because the products themselves are worth coming back for.
