This place was horrible for the nail technician was so rude to me and could not do a simple French manicure she argued with me and told me that she would not do what I wanted she didn't apologize for it either. she also didn't clean under my nails she didn't clean all my nail polish off. she talked to a different technician pointed at me and then laughed and to top it all off I waited at the front counter for 20 minutes after I was done to try and pay for the worse manicure I've ever gotten if you want a good manicure go across the street to butter nails they will treat you way better and do a superior job read more

Went to this place today. I was not impressed. They kept trying to sell me extra stuff.. "Oh would you like solar nails?" Then after that. The lady that was assisting me with my feet was somewhat unhappy I wasn't drinking my Champagne fast enough stating " Why are you not drinking it? You don't like it?" I'm here to relax don't rush me. She didn't even provide the hot towel wrap that I paid for with my package! When my toes were finished she messed up my polish and hardly repaired it properly! Was not pleased. I have been going here for over a year thanks to a gift card from a girlfriend. If you're tired of the hustle and bustle of busy nail shops that don't know your name and rudely speak every language other than English amongst coworkers, while you're being services, then do not come here! Megan offers a full line off spa treatments made with all organic products. Her facials and massages are to die for. The staff is extremely professional, hygienic, knowledgable and well skilled. I wanted to give this place a shot because of the good reviews, and it's not too far from my house. Walking in, I felt hopeful it would be my go to place when I feel the need to get a quick fix. The owner was very nice; welcomed me in, showed me to my tech and offered me a mimosa. They had a large array of colors to choose from. It's a little dim in there so it can be hard to tell what shade it is, but I just went with my gut. I got the traditional mani/pedi. My pedicure turned out pretty well. Color was beautiful...no complaints. It was when it got to my hands that got me down to the two stars. I wanted her to trim my nails down. I guess sometimes people forget about the skin that is right behind your nail that juts out. It's hard to tell looking straight on...but she had started to cut to my skin. I almost screamed then quickly told her that it's too short! After that I closed my eyes for a bit while she did my cuticles...I opened my eyes and saw my middle finger was bleeding at the corner and bled a thin line along the border of my nail. She said sorry...but it just looked ugly, especially when I was planning on doing a French manicure. Then she started doing the French manicure...I could already tell that it was not going to look good. After she finished my hand, I didn't want to be mean but I just told her to just wipe it off and paint it the same color as my toes. It looked like I painted my own nails which usually would look better than that. So it ended up looking better, but she layered it on too thick, and I guess my hands didn't dry off quickly enough that right when I walked out of there, I had already damaged it. A one hour mani pedi turned out to be two hours, and I was just disappointed about my hands. I do my best to give the elders the benefit of the doubt since my mom does this for a living as well. I didn't have the heart to be mean, so I just left quietly. If it weren't for the 20% off coupon, I think I would have been more upset. read more

I would never recommend this place. I took my mother here and it was a terrible experience. The lady working on my mom cut her skin with the foot file and was very rude about it. She acted like she didn't do it. (it was fresh and obviously her) My moms foot was burning and in pain after that. They laughed and spoke in their language... which is so rude. They didn't do anything to make this accident right. The massage was worthless... the lady was actually barely doing anything. It was ridiculous... I laugh when I think of the way she was "massaging" my feet. I really was confused the whole time.... just amazed at how silly it was. I was VERY very unhappy with the whole experience. I felt awful for my mom too. It would have been different if they made us feel that they cared and that they felt bad for the accident. That wasn't the case at all.... :( not very nice. Would rather be at an ugly place with sweet people than a beautiful place with rude people.... read more

It's a beautiful nail salon, the ladies were very friendly. When I got there it wasn't very busy. I got a manicure and pedicure with some add ons. Towards the end of my manicure it started to get busy and I noticed the girl was rushing. She needed the chair I was in so she sprayed my nails with the quick dry stuff and kicked me out. They don't give you a fan to completely dry your nails and there is no where else to sit and wait for your nails to dry when you leave the pedicure chairs. My nails ended up looking bad because I ended up getting so many knicks in the polish. I wouldn't go back especially for the price I paid. I wish I had gone somewhere else. read more

I've grown up in the Katy area my whole life and this is by far the best nail salon in West Houston. It's decorated beautifully, there are different rooms with pedi chairs so if you have a group you can chat in privacy. I got my nails done today and it was the pampering I needed! Let me start off by saying, shellac doesn't like to stay on my nails...or so I thought! Ok, maybe I tend to pick at it from time to time! Well, my nails met their match. I've gotten shellac many times from here and it has stayed on for almost 3 weeks! Jon and Toni are great owners. They make you feel at home and very welcome. I have never seen any of the employees make rude faces to anybody...as a matter of fact, they go above and beyond to make you as comfortable as possible and cater to your every need. The most important part, they remember their returning clients, which is very impressive. They do designs and as many colors as you would like. Customer service to the max!!!! The salon is super clean and really pretty! It really shows how much they pride themselves in being small business owners. On the plus, I can either make an appointment or walk in without any problems. Oh and you can book for mani/pedi parties with treats and wine! Can't beat that!!! read more

Yes, the decor is nice. But the quality is too hit or miss to justify the cost. I went Friday for a basic mani/pedi. My mani, I had to completely reshape myself when I got home and clean it up as well as it was done so haphazardly. The tech was too busy chatting and watching the door to pay attention to my nails. The pedicure looks like it was done by a 5 year old. I was having to direct her the entire time. The top coat was applied so messily, even though I asked her to please redo it, that it dried with lines and bubbles....Horrible. And to pay $43 for that? Not worth it, I will NOT be going back. read more

This is a good place to go to if you don't mind a wait. I went here after seeing the great reviews and I was happy I did. The place is not that big so when we first walked in they told us it was a 30 minute wait and we could wait outside? That part was confusing but they just didn't have the room (one couch for waiting and people were on it). Luckily starbucks was next door - I had driven 25 mins to get there so I didn't want to leave. After a 15 min wait we went back and checked and they took us back. We waited 10 more minutes in the chairs but they were massage chairs and they offered us mimosas or wine so we didn't mind. I got Nikki who was great and my sis got a newbie (who needs a bit more experience). The place was clean (plastic liners for bowls and sterile equipment). Employees/managers were nice, checked on us several times and offered more drinks. Your experience really depends on who you get. I enjoyed my leg massage, hot stone massage is short, polish was great but could have taken a bit more hard skin off from bottom of feet. My sis did not get the same experience with the massage. The prices are on the high side - I paid $34 for their second level luxe spa pedicure (which is comparable to others). I also got a basic manicure $16 and added shellac ($15 more) not much too say about manicure - polish was great, manicure itself same as other places. All in all good experience! read more

I usually do not post a review about any service, good or bad, but my experience at the Royale Retreat Pedispa in Firethorne was so disappointing. The spa itself is beautiful and the staff are friendly. The pedicure I received, however, felt rushed and unprofessional. After having my feet exfoliated with the foot scraper, I put my feet back in the water to soak and the lady proceeded to dump the yucky, dead skin on top of my feet!!!! GROSS!!!!! I was wishing my pedicure was over as soon as it started! I also had to ask to have my nails cut as she did nothing with the length of them...not even file them....and I had to ask several times to remove polish off my toes that she had smudged while applying the polish. Honestly, my polish looked no better than if I had my 7 year old daughter do it! I am not usually a complainer ...I love getting pedicures and consider it "me" time...but the service I received here was very poor and turned me off from ever returning! read more
