This is my ABSOLUTE favorite Pedicure Palace! Everyone who works here is amazingly sweet; always in a cheerful mood! Such a relaxing environment. Mimosas & cookies!! Then to top off my pedi, I got a shoulder/back massage and they used shellac on my toe nails instead of regular polish because they said "it's cold out honey, no flip flops for you!" I chose Retreat Pedispa because of the yelp reviews and after coming here several times, I thought I'd add mine to the chorus of great ones. I brought my four year old with me for our first mani-pedi date and they were so kind to her. She was scared at first but Meghan made her feel very comfortable. She did a great job on teeny tiny nails and even added a sparkle topcoat! My daughter was over the moon and can't wait to go back! I got a pedicure with regular polish and SIX weeks later it's still on!!! They also introduced me to shellac, which I am now obsessed with! One month plus and NO CHIPS! Everyone there is friendly and kind! I love the mimosas, my daughter loves the cookies and we both love the awesome job they do on our fingers and toes! This is now my go-to nail salon! read more

Decent but I don't think I'll be returning. The atmosphere was relaxing, no tvs & soft music. Chairs are very comfortable. The employees have thick accents but work hard to make sure they know what you want. I got a shellac manicure and the deluxe pedicure. They took great care of moisturizing, trimming nails & cuticles and shaping them. However, the polish job on both were lackluster. My toes aren't particularly shiny and up close look a tad smudged. My shellac (that should last ~2 weeks) has begun chipping on multiple nails after 3 days. I don't do anything so hard that my nails should be chipping yet. read more

So glad to have tried this salon! I've been struggling to locate one in Katy but this is the one!! I have never been to a salon where they take such care of you as this one! I had the Jello pedicure and I think the majority of the time spent was on massage (no complaints here)! I received a back, head, and neck massage as well as the pedicure and manicure treatments! ive been coming here for years back when they were known as retreat nails, but my recent visit was upsetting. i paid for acrylic french tips, which i get quite often. i didn't like the color of the acrylic powder but instead of redoing it she continued to do the rest of my nails and then painted over them with the other color i wanted. ive never paid for acrylics just to get them painted! even though i booked an appointment 3 days before she was rushing to finish them, didnt clean up the nail polish on my fingers, and messed up the nail polish on two of my nails. this was really upsetting and now i'm trying to fix the horrible job she did. what a waste of money. read more

Went here Friday based on all the reviews. Booked our appointments online because the website says you receive 20% off for new guests and booking online. When we arrived, there was only one other customer in the salon (which I find uncommon for a Friday) The woman at the desk told us the 20% deal was no longer offered because they just bought the salon a week prior from the old owners. I chose my color for a standard pedicure and sat down. The technician then told me the color I chose was $5 More because it "lasts longer" There was no signage on the polish. It wasn't shellac, it was regular polish. She did find me a comparative color in the "standard price" The overall pedicure was fine, the experience was average and we were offered water or soda but for $65 for two basic pedicures, I didn't think it was worth the value. New owners have some work to do. read more

So after I got my nails done one broke a few days later. I went back to get it fixed exactly one week from getting them done and all the people from before were gone! The new "manager" told me they up and left and they have it now. Place is exactly the same with new people. Very strange. I hate the fly by night nail salons. read more

I can't remember the last time I have even been to a Nail Salon. It's been so long however, my good friend, invited me to this Royal Retreat Spa Nail Shop. This was both our first time going. From the time we walked in the door it looked like paradise. Luckily they take walk-ins because as soon as we walked in we was seated. Yep. that's right no waiting on a Saturday. Awesome. We got the Jelly Hot Spring Pedicure and Manicure. The Jelly Hot Spring was hot, but not burning hot. The jelly reminded me of green apple sauce on my feet. It was weird at first but it felt so good on my feet. Even there massage chairs are high tech that they massage your butt. They're all about making you feel good before they even start painting your nails. They even gave us heating pads for our necks. They massaged our neck and shoulder. I felt like I was in heaven. Well if I was in heaven I hope that it would be like this place. And best of all they serve drinks. Yes. Lady's I'm talking wine. I tried the Red Wine, but that was a bad idea, because I felt like I was getting a headache. I hate that feeling, so my second drink was the one with the orange juice. Sorry I forgot the name of the drink. But I recommend that drink to anybody that doesn't drink much, like me. Not only did we have wine in the AM, but I noticed how clean this nail salon really is. The furniture looked brand new. Either that or they have some maids hiding in the back room. I loved they way they designed the place, with a brick wall and a huge picture that made you feel like you was with the beauty gods every time you starred at it. Even the way the curtains hang from the ceiling, tied back to the wall was nicely down. Even the light fixture that hung from the wall looked exquisite. Not only did the place look clean but I noticed a couple of things that made me happy just as well as my massage. I didn't even notice it until I looked over and seen one of the girls pulling a plastic bag from the tub. They cover their tub with a plastic bag. You don't have to worry about who sat in the chair before you or if they had any fungus growing in their toes. And they clean it out to clean for the next customer every time. They even open a fresh NEW nail kit package for you. That's a plus in my book because I'm a germ phobic person. Was there anything wrong with this place? I wish they had more nail colors. Don't get me wrong they had a lot of nail polish, but I really felt like it was all the same. And you can choice any OPI Polish of your choice. Would I come back... You damn right I'm going to be back. It's pretty pricey, however it's worth it. It's either you pay a little bit more to look flawless or be in one of these no good nail salons waiting for hours just to be next in line to only hear the girls right beside you talking about their baby daddy issues while you got the nail tech yelling across the room to her co-worker about the bottom of your foot.
