Fantastic Korean Wings! We went to Bliss lounge for a date night so we could go to UBAE for ice cream afterwards. We loved the ordering system through a kiosk indoors and the big free parking lot. We tried the shoyu chicken and the boneless honey chicken. Both were excellent and ready in about 10 minutes. Inside there is loud music with some profanity, so I wouldn't recommend this place for kids. There are several televisions playing sports, darts, and karaoke. In the back is a private karaoke room "Mitch's Room" you can call and make a reservation to rent. They have soju in a fridge as well as a bar with a good spread of lower tier alcohols. There is a $10 minimum spend at the bar to use a credit card. The bartender Rachelle is very sweet and took good care of us. Mahalo for the great date night! read more

Ever since they hired the new woman manager our family has been told on two separate occasions that we can only order food to go and to wait outside. She claimed they were closed for a private party on both instances but when single men came in after us, they didn't get the same script and was allowed to drink at the bar. Both times we went around 6 pm and brought our nine year old daughter with us. If kids are not allowed they should update their business rules/profile. We only kept trying to go back because we were long time customers and used to love the workers and food. We will no longer be going there since this was the second time we were denied service. At least soul chicken opened in the food court at the park at Keaumoku, so we can still get our chicken and they have a bar there that actually is beautiful. read more

Karaoke time in Kalihi, Honolulu, Hawaii... We all got a chance to try a place that's new to us! Bliss Lounge on Dillingham Boulevard was a pleasant change of atmosphere! The clean, convenient restrooms and free shared parking lot (with Soul Chicken, Hana Tea, Lox of Bagels, and Yohei Sushi) were much appreciated! We decided to sit in the private room (instead of the lounge with the stage). The friendly female worker thought that we could make the $100 room minimum easily. Yes! We ordered the Chicken Combo (honey Chicken, French Fries, shoyu chicken, and mandoo); pan-seared ribeye (with mushrooms and onions), three diet Cokes, and a pitcher of fresh strawberry soju. Everything was delicious! Mr. Park helped us with the sound system. He was polite and patient with our questions. He also encouraged us to return on a weekday when soju is half off! LOL! Less than impressed with the Dillingham site. We ordered a chicken sandwich, honey garlic and shoyou boneless wings, mandoo, and corn mac salad. The Mac salad was very watery and overly sweet, same as the coleslaw on the chicken sandwich. They forgot the mandoo even though we were the only ones in the restaurant and because the bag was stapled we didn't notice until we were already home. Along with Nadine, Peter and a friend arrived in the evening on a Saturday night and was surprised how empty it was a very spacious place with lots of bar top tables, a few booths and even a stage the vibe is a dark bar dive scene but was greeted by a sweet lady as I arrived a bit early. She showed me their private karaoke room in the back and it was nice and big enough to hold 8 adults with comfortable a/c light dimmer though an annoying disco ball that we couldn't figure out how to turn off lol! Yes we decided on the private room and it's free with minimum $100 food and drink purchase and songs are $2 each and make sure to ask for the English remote though with the device way up top entering songs was the real struggle of the night. We ordered Boneless Chicken Combo with Mandoo and Fries, Pan-seared ribeye Steak, and I had to get some Homemade real Fruit Soju (Strawberry) and this carnivore feast was delicious so bring your tribe and come hungry and the time limit for $100 feast in the private room is about 2hrs...depends on how busy they are we were told. This place is associated with Soul Chicken. Their fried chicken comes from here. Auntie and I stopped by Soul Chicken for lunch one day. They had a few tables on the outside. The really nice cashier asked if we wanted to sit inside in the A/C instead. We said ok. We were the first customers in there that day so she just turned on the A/C. Two other tables soon followed. It was nice on the inside and the booths were comfortable. They also have karaoke if you like to sing. This place must be busy at night. The food is from the adjoining business "Soul Chicken" and deeeelicious! My favorites so far being the KFC and the gimmari. They also have mandoo, onion rings, french fries, pork belly with kim chee, pan seared ribeye steak, and more. Comfort bar food! Looking forward to trying more dishes. The inside is casual comfortable and set up for fun times with friends. There is karaoke available in their main lounge as well as their private room that seats "maximumish" 10 persons (Additional persons maybe able to fit but could get a little stuffy inside). We were looking for bliss chicken after buying mochi at a place nearby and was surprised it was a karaoke bar. Come to find out it's all the same owner and they serve the same chicken, but here you can get stronger drinks and the combo is a better deal. A very pleasant, helpful and funny woman greeted us and made recommendations, which we went with and were very happy. She suggested the combo for $39 and the strawberry soju, both great recommendations. Also told us all Korean drinks, such as the soju juice we paid $24 are half off Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. It was my birthday today and I was so excited to have dinner with my wife and kids at my favorite chicken place / bar, we were so excited we even had matching shirts to celebrate. We ubered to the bar expecting dinner and a few drinks but got turned away the minute we walked. Online it said that it was open and there was no sign on the door that said otherwise but there was a private party and we were told that we couldn't eat there. So we were about to leave and the waitress came out and said that we could order takeout and have a drink at the bar ONLY to get refused by the bartender who might I add had a snarky attitude. My family and I loved this place but the bartender had completely ruined it for us. We went out of our way and ubered to the bar only for us to uber back home less than half an hour later. On another note, the tattoo artist at the ink pit was very cool and kept us company while we were waiting for the uber. His company made me want to get a tattoo to make the trip worth the time and money. If I could give Bliss 0 stars I would but i will definitely get my next tattoo at the Ink Pit read more

We decided to come here on a Friday night.. my bf and I just decided to make it a thing to go to different places for "pau hana" fridays right after work. They were slow for a Friday.. but then again this place is still new. For a bottle of plain soju is $12. If you want it flavored its $15. We got their house made fruit soju it's mixed with fresh fruit.. but at the time they only had strawberry. Yall it was $25.. lol. It's was alright if you like your soju with extra pulp this is up your alley. I don't have a picture of how it looks inside but I liked the vibe. Such a huge disappointment! I purchased gift certificates through a radio station promo, "What a Deal Wednesday." The deal is to pay $25 and receive two certificates, each worth $25. We took the certificates to Bliss Lounge, and they refused to honor them, even though the expiration date is on 10/20/2025. The man who was working said they stopped honoring those certificates at the end of 2024 so I needed to contact the radio station if I have an issue with it. It's not my fault if the owners of Bliss Lounge didn't end their promo with the radio station earlier. I'm guessing they received part of the purchase price, and I already paid, so they got their share of the money. I've purchased these certificates from other establishments, and never had any problems with them. What a rip off! read more

This place has the best chicken wings period!!! The best Korean fried chicken place I've been to so far!! Went for drinks and karaoke two weeks ago and was blown away!! So before I went on a trip with the kids we stopped by and got some wings and fries for the plane. My advice is get the plain wings with side honey garlic sauce!!!! read more

If it wasn't for the food or straight drinks this place would be a no go. It looks kinda divey at first glance but it is just unique. This bar is service by Soul Chicken on Dillingham. The food is sooo good. You can order from Soul chicken and eat your food at the Bliss bar with drinks from the bar. The bar also has their own menu with items that aren't on the Soul Chicken menu. Some of these are... pan-seared ribeye steak, Sausage trio, White kimchi pork belly. However we just ordered from soul Chicken and went in to have a few drinks with our meal. The waitress looked like a patron and couldn't make a margarita. My bad, its not that kind of bar. We settled for A bottle of yogurt soju. We've had this before and it went well with the sweet spicy boneless chicken- my go to chicken, Gimmari-one of my faves, and the chicken salad-very different. Their delicious fried boneless chicken that is stupendously lightly battered, on top a bed of chopped romain, chopped colored peppers and sliced cucumbers, served with honey mustard. I didn't like the peppers but everything else was amazing. We drank our whole bottle shoyu and opted to try a pitcher of housemade strawberry shoyu- the flavor was delicious. It was made with fresh strawberries. However the bottled one had more alcohol potency. We were entertained by football and K-pop playing on the tv's. They do have a couple of dart boards and the bartenders is friendly. I'd go bac again if in the area. Just don't expect any mixed drinks LOL. Oh yeah they do have one enter neutral restroom that when you go in has one stall. The only catch is the outer door doesn't lock so you could be in the stall and a man can pop into the outer part of the restroom. Lucky for me the bar was empty but hey just saying. First off, I gave three stars only because we waited very long for our food and we didn't get one of the dishes we ordered and got something else in place of it without being told. Decided to try this spot out on a Wednesday evening because I've been wanting to try their KFC and have been seeing their posts on IG. We got their little after 8pm (after work) and the place was pretty empty, except for 2 other parties that left shortly after we got there. Was seated immediately and asked for their menu. There was 1 waitress and a bartender, and from what I could see from where I was sitting, 1 cook. Ordered the Chicken Combo (25pcs of wings), which I caught my eye on their IG post. It was also pictured on their menu so I pointed to it when I ordered. I asked the waitress if I can pick what sauce I wanted and she said no they "make the flavors". There are 4 flavors to choose from and the menu says 2 choice flavor but I didn't get to choose. She just asked "not too spicy?" and I said yes. Also pictured on the menu was White Kimchee Pork Belly. So I pointed to it and said I wanted that and she said yeah OK and walked away with the menu. After about 30min or so and our waitress bringing us peanuts apologizing that it was taking so long, the chicken combo finally came out (mind you we were the only ones in the joint). We figured out the choices of chicken were honey and yang nyeom mild. It also came with fried mandoo and French fries. Chicken wings were nice and crispy, not too much batter and good flavor. We liked both flavors. Fries were nice and crispy as well amd mandoo was good. Shortly after our combo arrived the waitress came with what I thought was going to be the pork belly dish I ordered. She put it down and walked away. When I went to taste it I noticed there was noodles. Then thought, what is this? Took a piece of what I thought was pork belly and knew we didn't get what we ordered. It was chicken on a bed of noodles and rice cake with yang nyeom sauce (another dish on their menu). After eating some of it (we were hungry) I called our waitress over to ask her what the dish was and she said yang nyeom chicken. I told her I ordered the pork belly amd she said "pork belly? Oh we don't have that." We figured they just made us another dish amd thought we would like it. It wasn't bad at all but it had the same sauce as our chicken wings and for me that was just too much yang nyeom. Overall, we liked the chicken wings. I would come back to try their other flavors and hopefully next time they will have the white kimchee pork belly dish. I also want to come back and have some karaoke fun with a few friends. I asked about their karaoke room and she said they have 1 room, but it's nit ready yet, with no time frame for when it will be ready. Their chicken wings can be ordered outside at the window at Soul Chicken. Maybe I'll do that next time I have a craving for some KFC. Went here last night for my birthday. It was a weekday so it wasn't busy but we still decided to go in the room. It was huge and comfy. Small kine hot but get a/c. Songs are $2 each but still we only spent maybe 225+tip to eat, get drunk & sing which is amazing for 4 people. Food was really good, make sure you get there before 11 to order cuz the kitchen closes around that time. We just ordered choke before they closed and the food lasted us all night. The sign on the door says no public bathroom but I seen some by the bar, idk if it's open for customer use tho. Staff was really friendly too. Definitely going to go again :) read more

We had the chicken plate - simply delicious. When I eat fried chicken, I love fried chicken. And good fried chicken to me is crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside, flavorful, and just plain satisfying. These were those chicken wings. And don't get me started on the fries. These fries were crispy and delicious. I could have eaten a whole basket by myself... Service was amazing as well. We were checked on several times throughout the meal. Each time with either recommendations; adding ice to my glass, or just her recommendations...It was perfect. She seemed to know when there was a lull in conversation so would come by to check on us and knew when we were talking to stay away. I can't wait to go back to try the other items on the menu as well. It's a Karaoke lounge - though no one chose to sing tonight. Very nice place to go for a bite. Highly recommend checking it out. While I didn't see the steak on the menu, told they have a rib eye that's amazing. Next time I'll try to take photo's, as this time, I dug in with gusto. read more

So I am a regular at Soul Chicken and I love the cashier who always gets my order! BUT just recently when we went inside the Bliss Lounge to eat our chicken, the bartender was really rude. The moment we got our order she was already sour about something when we got our food from this other server. When we finished I had leftovers so I wanted to get a takeout plate, asked for one politely but the bartender just looked at me, walked behind the counter and said nothing while getting it. She ended up walking to our table and started to grab our chicken with metal chopsticks putting it in the takeout box, I said I can put it in myself but she just started grumbling something under her breath about how it's "not her job" and at the end saying she'll do it for us. Her whole presentation was very rude and sour and made me and my partner not want to eat inside anymore as it made us uncomfortable. On the other hand Soul Chicken is WONDERFUL AND DELICIOUS 5/5, even the cashier is always friendly with a smile. read more
