Awww they changed the name into Bliss Cafe... Still with great Taiwanese dishes. Cash and debit card only: Today I got my fav deep fried squid tentacles it'was good I just dont like the sauce, sweet salty kinda taste better if its hotsauce or pink vinegar. For my main entree I had the apple curry beef brisket with rice- generous serving and still consistent with the taste, very tender beef brisket and the sauce is so so awesome. No soda in here they have their milk shakes etc so I settled for just water. Medium size restaurant, clean and minimal interior decors. Taiwanese cuisines are always delish... Service is average but not bad. Good for group and kids as well:

This used to be called Pearl Café and was pretty good then. So I figured I'd try them out again under their new branding/management. They still have an all-vegetarian section of the menu, which is much appreciated. I ordered their vegetarian braised tofu w/spicy sauce w/rice ($17.45), which comes with vegetables in a hot pot-style dish, with a side of rice. The food came out in about 10 minutes. The portion was moderate, coming with plenty of tofu, carrots, bok choy, big chunks of ginger, wood ear mushrooms, and glass noodles, cooked in a pretty standard Chinese brown sauce. Not spicy at all, but pleasant flavours, and that ginger really added a nice kick. Nothing special really, but well-executed, simple, Taiwanese-style home cooking. Recommended.

A little confusing because you have to enter the door to Terracotta Boyz Xi'an Cuisine to pick up for Bliss Cafe. Taiwanese meat sauce on noodles was good. Plenty of meat and the noodles were the thick and wide kind. A little bit lacking on depth of flavor. The Taiwanese chicken nugget was also good in flavor but the packaging needs to have holes for ventilation because half of it was soggy already although we picked up on time. For $11.xx it was quite pricey for the amount of nuggets but Uber had a bogo.

    Wheat germ green milk tea

Came here with my partner and had their teriyaki fried rice, beef noodle soup combo, and chicken nuggets for only $4! I also got a wheat germ green milk tea. The food here is really good and affordable, and the portions are big. I really liked their teriyaki chicken fried rice! It has a lot of onions, but I surprisingly loved the addition. They were really sweet and not pungent at all. The wok hei flavour was really good--my partner commented on it a lot haha! The chicken was tender and flavourful. Overall loved it! The beef noodle soup was good as well--thick noodles, clear broth, lots of meat chunks, and some bok choy. The marinated egg was too hard boiled for me. This dish is not my preference, but delicious nonetheless. Really huge too for a "small" bowl! Great portion. The jasmine green tea that came with this combo was delicious. Flavour was there and it was perfectly sweetened for me. It tasted like it was sweetened with honey. The chicken nuggets were fried to tender perfection and it was really crispy. Not too crunchy for my soft mouth. The seasoning was perfect as well. Lots of pieces for only $4! A great appetizer to complement our meal. The only thing I didn't like was my wheat germ green milk tea. It felt almost flavourless (too much milk?) and the wheat germ didn't add as much flavour to the drink as I hoped it would. The service is slow, but still good. It's clean and quiet inside.

Beef noodle soup is good. Fried fish cake is nice too, a little appetizer, but too salty to finish all of it.

If you haven't had Taiwanese style chicken nuggets, you're missing out on life! Side dishes were just ok but I can't expect much since they're just sides. Ordered the honey milk tea with grass jelly and I'd say they do it just the way I like it. You can really taste that honey throughout the milk tea. Looking back as previous reviews regarding service, I can tell they've improved a lot on that front. Our server checked on us a couple times and was very friendly. This on a Friday night btw. It's definitely one of my top go to places for salty peppery chicken nuggets and honey milk tea. Would have given it 5 stars but you can get the same thing at bubble world for about $5 less.

We ordered a hot and sour soup and the egg rolls with green onions. the taste of the soup was alright but it had some interesting ingredients which are not usually part of the authentic hot and sour soup (such as cabbage and daikon). The egg rolls were alright as well but the egg needed more seasoning as it was very bland. The stars are mainly for the shaved ice. there were very nice selection of toppings for the shaved ice. We chose taro, grass jelly, condensed milk and mixed beans. I would recommend this restaurant for the desserts but not the food..

We ordered the soup with the expectation that it would be in some medium-sized bowl that the two of us can easily share. The soup actually was giant and is meant for a family. Luckily, it was absolutely delicious; the pork was super tender, the egg fits in perfectly, and the broth was tasty. Every drop was finished. The braised pork belly was also delicious. Tender and fatty, I wished there was so much more sauce for the rice to soak in. I'm also a super fan of pork floss, so loved its inclusion. The side is also noteworthy. The radish soup was so flavorful yet light, and the tofu was fantastic. Everything we ate was five stars on its own. Only panic was when paying our server said they only accept cash or debit? I only had credit cards and American money, but in the end, she was able to use my credit card. Not sure what that was about.

Not sure why that's not an option. Definitely a missed opportunity for the business imho. Oh... and the kimchi was a bit weird with the fact that it's overly sweet. Overall, good value and good food. It's been there for a while so starting to look a bit dated. Doing good business on a Saturday night, although we didn't have to wait for a table. We were not super hungry so just went for drinks and appetizers. They have a pretty sizable sweet drinks menu, with a lot of choices for toppings. I got the melon slush with half sugar. It was plenty sweet, and has the nice honeydew melon taste. For appetizers, we got the Taiwanese style chicken nuggets, and a mixed plate of braised meat and proteins. The chicken nuggets taste as expected, got good flavor, and was tender and not dry. For the braised plate, we got sliced pig ear, fish cake and sliced beef shank. I liked the flavors, and the beef shank was tender. Overall two drinks with two appetizer was like $43 before tips, so not expensive. Solid place to go for some inexpensive Taiwanese food and sweet drinks.

I would definitely return again just for the fried chicken alone. The pork chop dish that we ordered was also delicious.
