Terrible customer service with no solutions. Great looking blinds, but I had them installed on a large window in January and maybe have adjusted them up or down like 10 times, if that! I was raising the blinds on Saturday and the plastic piece on the pull broke in 2. I emailed the consultant right away and he was going to have someone call me Monday regarding the broken piece. Well I got a call alright and was just told to put tape on it, thats the only way to fix the problem. 100% unacceptable!!! I am not paying that much for nice blinds to have to keep tape on it to use them, absolutely ridiculous response to a broken piece that has barely been used. Hopefully the manager calls me back with a better response, but so far unless they make this right I will be sending them back and searching else where. I cannot believe this is what they offer as a solution. read more

Awesome! They installed a nelectric shade in my sky light. Not any easy thing to do when your walls are not even. And then a few years lasted when the shade was not working they replaces it at no cost!!!! read more

We had a problem with our initial order, and when we sent Brian pictures of how the window treatments turned out, his immediate response was, this does not look right, please come in and let's find something that will make you happy. When we returned, Brian's first and only priority was to make sure that we were happy with our purchase. We re-selected some beautiful Hunter Douglas blinds for our Master bedroom. Even though it might have a good selection, Brian Pinsky is very hostile. I recently changed my windows and wanted to get nice window treatments so I stopped by to see what they had. Brian was very careless and didn't even told us how much the windows were, he just stated "lots and lots of dollars" he thinks that he is the only person who can afford them. He was in a rush to close and when I asked if he was open on Sunday, he said "I have to go to church," what do you think, that I am going to come here? Summary= bad experience. Didn't come back instead I went to Stoneside on Michigan Ave. were they treated me as I deserve and got my window treatments from there. read more

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the entire staff. We have done two huge projects with them - - both blinds and drapery - - and could not be more pleased. The drapery project in particular was extremely complicated. Brian was more than willing to come to my home to help me figure out what we should do. His seamstress (who is absolutely fabulous!) also came by to confirm that what we were hoping to do could actually be done. Horrendous customer service. Joe, the gentleman who measures and installs, is pleasant and very helpful, but the owner is difficult to deal with. To be fair, their prices (though not inexpensive) are competitive, but the customer service is awful, and this is due exclusively to the owner. I am not sure why he is in the business. read more

Last year I came to Chicago to help my son buy blinds for his apartment. I had done research and was very happy to find Brian and have his help in the store. He was very kind and was patient when I needed so much help on making the right decisions for my son. He could not have been better for us. The price was where we wanted and I felt like our personal service made it a good experience. The blinds were installed and were perfect for his place. I came to Chicago a year later and my son said one of the motorized blinds was not working correctly. I called the store and Brian recognized my voice and remembered me immediately! He spent time over the phone to listen to our problem and then spent more time telling us how to trouble shoot. We fixed the blind, didn't pay the $125 service call, refreshed our relationship with Brian and are left with good feelings and a very positive experience. I came here to replace some Hunter Douglas blinds with the same exact thing. Brian could have made an easy sale but he took care to explain new products and other color and size options. Measuring and installation were very tricky because my windows are unusual and I purchased remote control. Brian sent staff out three times. He could not have been nicer or more helpful. I have been buying Roman Shades and blind systems for various windows and doors in my house from The Blinds Gallery for over a year. I stopped in today to buy for another set of large windows. As always, Michael was extremely knowledgable about the products, fabrics, and styles. He made sure all my questions were answered and let me take all the time I needed looking through the color books. There is never pressure - just accommodation, information, and welcoming attitude. The store experience is the best; the products are worth the money. I have always installed these myself - which is also easy. Hunter-Douglas is a nationally recognized brand of high quality.
