We saw Bill and his team came highly recommended and we are so glad we found them! Bill was quick to respond and very easy to work with. We have a sunroom that needed shades but we knew we'd have limited options with this particular room, and Bill was extremely knowledgeable and upfront about what would work best for us. His installation team was excellent too!Everyone was so nice and friendly, but even more important they did great work. There was 1 shade that was not the right size and Bill and his team corrected it within just a few days without any issues. They took the time to make sure we were happy with everything and that we knew how to charge the motorized shades and operate the remote for them. We highly recommend Bill and his team! read more

Bill from North Shore Shutters was recommended to me by a friend who used them for her custom shades. I am so thankful for the recommendation because the process was so easy and affordable, compared to other window treatment companies, through North Shore Shutters. I contacted Bill who was easy to communicate with and scheduled for an estimate. I highly appreciate his straightforward personality and unapologetic honesty. He knows he has a great product and provides incredible prices; he doesn't have to sell you on anything. He didn't try to upsell me and informed me of my options that gave me more bang for my buck. For example, he told me that he has a team that could install the shades (for a very reasonable price) but if someone in the house was handy and as long as we knew how to use a drill, we could install the shades ourselves. He was right, the shades weren't difficult to install. With the right drill bit and a charged drill, it only took a couple of hours to install 9 shades. Bill informed me of a promotional North Shore Shutters was offering over the summer that was still running, free upgrade for Bottom Up Top Down shades. These cellular shades are quality! They are lightweight but sturdy and look so beautiful in our home. The room darkening shades do a great job of keeping our bedroom dim in the morning where we have two East facing windows. If you're looking for competitive prices, call Bill, the price for all 9 shades was incredible! After accepting the proposal and once the invoice was paid for (happened all on the same day), it took 2 weeks for the blinds to arrive. I highly recommend Bill and North Shore Shutters, I would request their services again if I was ever in need again but I have a feeling these shades will never need to be replaced as long as we never move. read more

We had the best experience! I wish there was a version of Bill for every home project we needed. We needed blinds for every window of our home. He was straight forward, honest, friendly, communicative, and gave us the best value. He beat out our other quote by over 50%. His installers did an amazing job and were also the kindest people. There was a small mishap during installation and they handled it with the utmost professionalism and promptness. Would absolutely recommend to anyone! read more

Echoing all these other reviews, Bill and his team were phenomenal from start to finish. He came immediately to give a free quote, his price was beyond reasonable (and a quarter of the price we were quoted from a local competitor), the custom blinds came in under two weeks, installation was flawless, and we are thrilled with the outcome. I couldn't recommend them more highly. Would go back to him in a second. read more

Bill helped us pick a set of blackout blinds for our bedroom that have worked very well for our needs - they look good, keep light out, but can be opened from the top down for light without sacrificing privacy. The price was reasonable. The evening of the installation, we noticed that one of the blinds was hanging at a slant, and Bill promptly diagnosed the problem and got us a replacement. We will use this company again. read more

Called here looking for a repair on a pleated shade. I left a message since they didn't answer. They called back within a couple of hours and told me that their installation guy handles all the repairs and to contact him directly. I did that and Evan, was super responsive. He was able to come out to the house within a couple of days. He arrived with his wife and were not only able to complete the requested repair but also repaired quite a few others that weren't quite broken but but definitely needed some TLC. He was experienced and reasonably priced. I would recommend Evan to anyone for any blind repairs needed. In fact I was so impressed that the next time I need new blinds I would go to North Shore Shutters for sure! read more

Hands down the best blinds company. I absolutely love our blinds and working with Bill was a dream. He made sure all of my windows were perfectly setup and even reordered a blind because the factory didn't make it to his liking. The blinds came in quickly and the installation was over before I knew it. If we ever need window treatments again I will absolutely use this company again. I wish every home company was this wonderful to work with! read more

These guys were great! I got three quotes from three different companies and they were in the middle price wise but I am so glad I chose them. Worth every penny. Unbelievably happy with our decision to choose Bill and North Shore Shutters. We had been looking around and were sent their info from a friend that was happy with their service. Bill came out and slowly went through the options with us in great detail after taking measurements and offered us a fantastic price based on other estimates we got. The install was painless and happened quick. In a few weeks, we went from being annoyed by the blinds in our three bedrooms to being very happy with the new ones. It was painless. It was easy. They were responsive, helpful, courteous and we will absolutely use them again and would recommend them to anyone looking for window treatment solutions. read more

After spending a small fortune on custom drapes for most of my house I decided to go the (less expensive) West Elm route for curtains for my baby's room. While they looked fabulous, they weren't quite thick enough to keep the sunlight out. And for those of you without children...a room full of sunlight means a baby that doesn't nap well. Yikes! I decided what I needed was an affordable blackout shade....and that's how I found North Shore Shutters. I first called Bill when he happened to be out of town, but we had a chat about my needs and he gave me a balpark figure of a few hundred dollars. A baby who sleeps well is priceless and certainly worth a few hundred dollars. I waited a few weeks for Bill to return from his trip and had him come by to show me some options. Unfortunately, our first appointment slipped his mind, but when I called him he was extremely apologetic and ran over for a quick visit. He had almost too many options to choose from, but was helpful in guiding me towards the blackout shade that was right for my needs. He even called me a few days later to recommend a less expensive option, which was pretty cool. A few weeks later my shade arrived and Bill himself installed it, which took less than 30 minutes. It looks great and my little one is "sleeping like a baby," which is well worth the $250 extra I spent. read more

I met with the owner of North Shore Shutters to take a look at samples, take measurements, and discuss putting in blinds. He left a sample book for us to choose blinds from. From the start, communication was poor via both email and the Yelp app. We never got any follow up suggestions, he simply requested the sample book back without responding to our questions about the blinds we wanted to get. read more

We knew absolutely nothing about window treatments and the different options between faux wood blinds , cellular blinds etc. It was an easy choice to go with Costco since that is where we go for most things in life. We thought we might give one other company a try and yelp did not disappoint. Bill was really great to work with. He was very responsive and patient with all our questions. He recommended the best option for each window type and we could not be happier with our choices. His price was very competitive. He was very flexible with the install date and time even though he had to make multiple trips to our place to complete the install with Bob who was equally great to work with. They also helped me install the curtain rods that we bought for the bedrooms. Would definitely recommend this company for anyone as clueless as we were. read more

Disaster strikes when the cords on your silhouette blinds and roman shades break.....Called every company in the north shore for repair...Couldn't find anyone to come out. Finally my last call to Bill at North Shore Shutters saved me. His installer, Evan, does side jobs. Contacted him, send him pictures and within 2 days, all cords were replaced. He was clean, efficient and professional, and did a GREAT job. Highly recommend this company if I need installation, or repair. Thanks for the amazing service.. read more

Nobody knows blinds and shutters like Bill! Nobody. Our house looks great! Trust me- he is your guy.

We ordered new blinds for our entire house and couldn't be happier. From the initial call to Bill, the owner, to the final install, everything ran smooth. Bill came to the house with several beautiful, varied samples and was incredibly patient while we tried to figure out what we wanted. Quoted prices and installation dates were spot on without variation. It was such a pleasant experience, I'll never go anywhere else and I highly recommend this outfit...you won't be sorry! read more

I met Bill and Evan and these guys are absolutely great. They work so well as a team. Our vertical blinds are pretty old, good length, and we thought we needed a new track. Approx. $350-450. Bill came out and said he would check into the price of a new track. But first he wanted Evan to come out and look at the the condition of the old track. Evan came to the house, checked out the track, worked with it a bit, put some silicone on it, and got it working fine again. No charge. I tried several times to give him something for his time. He said absolutely not. If you are in need of anything, you need to give these guys a shot. read more

Northshore Shutters was simply fantastic. We had no idea how to configure our shutters or what style/ color to have. Bill helped us choose, and the result was better than we could have imagined. The shutters really transformed our room, and are the best investment we've made in our house. In addition to being delighted with the end result, the process was completely seamless. Bill came exactly on schedule, and both Evan and Doug installed quickly and perfectly. There were no hitches or glitches and we are now loving our shutters every day. I cannot recommend this company enough - please use them for your shutters and blinds. read more

Great installation at a good price! Also our blinds arrived on time. Thanks for your help Bill.

Bill was fantastic and extremely helpful. It turned out that a window frosting was a better option for our small job rather than using the services of North Shore Shutters. Bill informed us that this was the case and was happy to make a recommendation that didn't benefit him (despite having made the trip out to review our needs and provide an estimate). That a sign of true honesty and integrity. High recommend North Shore Shutters. read more

My wife and I are very satisfied with our recent purchase from Bill and North Shore Shutters. We are remodeling our house top to bottom and were living with black plastic over our windows until we talked with Bill and ordered shades for our three bedrooms and two bathrooms. He made it very easy throughout the entire process from ordering to installation. He was always available to go over any design choices and was patient with me when I triple measured my windows as I just couldn't stop stressing about the right size. The blinds look great and have a rich and solid design that is easy to use and raise and lower smoothly. Overall just great service! read more
