I used Eurosonic for my Venetian blinds when they first established their business many years ago. I just used them again this past week to clean my Hunter Douglas Silhouettes. They look brand new! James picked up 9 large duette blinds and brought them back a few hours later. That's the good part. The reason I had the blinds cleaned is because last year, someone spilled something on the 10th blind in the room. We sent it to Lovitts. It came out so nice and light that the other nine looked dingy. Today when James put up the first blind, it still looked dirty. He assured me that it had been cleaned. Then he put up the rest, and they not only looked awful but a very large blind is now shredded. James said that sometimes happens to old blinds, yet there was no disclaimer about the risk. This "cleaning" is so bad that I have to keep the blinds up so that the rips don't show, which defeats the reason for having blinds. It means I will have to buy ALL new blinds. Yesterday James came to my office at 9am as scheduled and removed seven sets of blinds. I hadn't had them cleaned in nine years! They were starting not to function due to the build up of dirt etc. He returned at 3pm that day and rehung the perfectly cleaned and operating blinds. After a quick drive down the highway, went on in with blinds in hand and the gentleman told me if I had five minutes, he can swap out the old one and then be on my way. Too bad, I must share - totally unprofessional attitude. Came to my unit to repair blinds. Took parts with him and after numerous calls about status, he is not calling me back. Two months now - of wait, and being put in a position not to be able to do anything - he took parts with him. My only alternative is to replace! He should have been honest to say - he can't or he won't do the job - it would have been ok. But not ok to leave me hanging - frying in the sun, fading the furniture, faced with replacing with new blinds, instead of being able to repair, should have returned the part he took with him. Great service, great prices, and great results. Our 2BR corner condo has 14 tall windows, all with about 25+ year-old metal mini blinds. I think the last time my dad had them cleaned was when he bought the place in 2003. Plus three of the "tilt-rods" that the wands connect to were broken, and a couple of other blinds would no longer turn completely in one of the directions. We decided to have the blinds picked up, cleaned and repaired while on vacation. Eurosonic answered the phone immediately and explained all the pricing clearly - $45 pick-up/delivery fee, $19 cleaning for oversized blinds, and $20 to replace tilt-rods. Our bill was just over $400 - very reasonable considering that would probably buy us 2-1/2 windows of new blinds. James was very professional and personable when he came out the afternoon before we left to pick up the blinds; and delivered and installed them the day after we returned from our trip. Recently bought a duplex, did reno, and ended up with FILTHY blinds. Eurosonic was recommended by the blind dealer who was installing new blinds on one of our windows. We initially just had them come and clean the blinds on the top floor, as they were in the worst condition. They did such a good job, though, that we had them come back out the next week to do the rest of the house. They were quick, professional, and efficient. To be honest, my blinds were so bad I was going to replace them. I called Eurosonic, they explained their service to me and I made the appointment. I was given a 2 hour window for them to come take down the blinds and take them to their facility to be cleaned. I was given an approximate time (the same day!) they would be back to put the blinds back up. I got a call when they were on the way back to put the cleaned blinds back up. The blinds are like new, all the times I was given were spot on, and the person who came to pick up and return my blinds was very professional. I highly recommend them!! read more

I had a mostly very good experience with Eurosonic. I personally should have asked more specific questions about pricing because when I got the breakdown I was a little surprised by the pick up and delivery fee. I had been quoted $125 for cleaning and repairs, I thought, and then the bill was $166 for cleaning and repairs with $45 for the pu/drop off. To be fair, I would have had then come and pu/drop off anyway, but when I called they made it sound like it was included in the price and it wasn't. There was also a mistake where they cleaned one blind I only needed restrung but they were nice enough to reverse that charge since I said, I specifically said clean these 2, fix that 1, not clean all 3. As far as service- the guy who came out was FAST- within 10 minutes he had taken all 3 down and he was out the door. Same with putting them back up- FAST. These guys are pros. Oh, and pick up and drop off were on the same day! That's more than I expected but so nice not to have to wait a few days. I was happy with the cleaning- didn't get them like new, but close enough. Definitely better than buying new shades, especially since what I have is expensive Hunter Douglas the previous owner had put in all over the house. I have no intentions to replace unless I have to. 4 star for me. I'd use them again. read more

Original post: James picked up my Hunter Douglas blinds at the end of May. They were expected to be repaired within a week. They called once after pickup to confirm they expected to have the part in stock so they could fix and to bring them back to me the second week in June. I have called every week since that contact and they have not answered or returned any of my calls. It has been 1.5 months. One star. Update: after posting this, I called through their answering service and got an answer from James. There is no clarity on why I didn't hear back but it sounded like a genuine gap in communication. as a result of connecting with him this was, he was out the next day and installed the newly fixed blinds. They did do a great job fixed two hanging blinds and restringing, fixing, and cleaning a large horizontal blind. They do nice work, no argument there. Have changed to four stars. Their quality was so good I would use them again and just make sure I left time for communication gaps. read more

I badly needed some Roman shades cleaned in my kitchen, they were full of dirt from a kitchen remodel and greasy, and I tried to do it myself (mistake!). I found Eurosonic on yelp on Thursday (yesterday) and they were able to come out, remove, clean and reinstall my shades on Friday (today!) and for a very very reasonable price. I am very very pleased with the results, as they were able to mostly get out the mistake I made trying to clean my shades on my own. I worked with James, and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. I am so annoyed at myself. I had a Hunter Douglas blind that needed repair and took it to an official dealer who shipped it off to be repaired. It cost twice as much and took twice as long as it did to take another one of my blinds (not a HD) to Eurosonic. I wish I would've known and taken them both to James. I have many years of experience in all aspects of construction and property management. In my personal residence we had Hunter Douglas shade/blinds Loumin_____ , Eurosonics service was perfect. Their price was less than others and when Jason came out and zipped these complicated right out of the tracks I was amazed. There were some brackets that broke through the years and it was no problem. When they brought them back they had the brackets and for a nominal charge for the parts installed them perfectly. After researching several places to have my blinds repaired, I decided to try Eurosonic Blinds & Shutters. And I'm SO glad I did. I called twice prior to arriving and the gentleman on the phone was very courteous and helpful. Upon arrival, we were helped by a young man named Jose who was knowledgeable and efficient. We received an estimate of the charges in advance of the work being done and an approximate time of completion. We returned to pick up the blinds about an hour after the time we were quoted and they were not ready. We ended up going to lunch nearby and returning to pick up the blinds. They were apologetic for our wait and everyone was so nice. One of my blinds they couldn't repair and took the time to explain to me why (very honest). In addition, they gave me a discount on the other blind repair for our inconvenience of the wait and inability to fix all of my blinds. Eurosonic replaced all the tape ladders on seven sets of 25-yr-old wooden blinds. The salesperson was very accommodating and showed, not only the stock tapes, but offered to order in custom tape if required. The turn-around time was very fast. The new tapes are a synthetic that will not be as vulnerable to sun rot so I may never need Eurosonic again for my home, but I will absolutely continue to use them for my interior design clients. read more

I broke the chain on my 3 window length blind. As I wasn't able to bring it in, I asked for an in-home service call to repair the chain. Jason arrived and within a very short time, had replaced the chain, oiled the mechanism so it would work more smoothly and checked the blind in the other room which he also oiled. Highly recommended for repairs. I had brought my hunter Douglas blinds into the store for re-stringing years ago when they were more in my neighborhood. Luckily they offer pick up/drop off.
