Plenty of people that love to dance to the blues music

Love the venue, but they need to get rid of the old bartender. He's really rude and impersonal to both the clients and the musicians. He seems to have an attitude each time I see him, and unfortunately he is always there. But otherwise a truly amazing establishment! Be careful with parking. They will boot you in the nearby lots and streets if you aren't careful.

Such a fun place to grab a drink and dance like you never knew you could! Great bands and cozy atmosphere.

    Rockin with the band!

I would recommend Blind Willie's if they had a kitchen and at least 1 or 2 signature dishes. I'm sure that they will hire a cook soon. The band last night was fantastic, but I never saw anything stating the name of the band. I regret that I didn't get the band name before leaving. I would definitely come back to enjoy their music again. The ambiance was great! The drink service was good, but it could be better with a couple of servers.

We stumbled upon this Cajun/creole/blues club just looking for a drink, and it may have been our best experience in Atlanta! Reasonably priced drinks but the real draw was the live blues music! There's room to dance in front of the stage, and they had seriously impressive talent. 100% recommend checking it out. There is a $10-20 cover depending on who's playing (you can see the schedule on their website), but it was WELL worth it!

I had amazing times. I went on a Tuesday night they said it is Blues however the music seemed more country to me. Parking Yes they have parking in the back of the building and after 10 pm you can park or the street Service My waiter was excellent. He was on top of everything. Drinks I had the Gator rum drink it is similar to having a a Long Island but fruity and it was terrific. Food I had the Cajun wings and it was a little dry however my date had the barbecue wings and it was delicious. Bathroom They do have one bathroom however it stink.

Fun night on Easter Saturday. Some semi celebrity was there which might explain the $15 cover charge. My buddy was worried that they would run out of seating but the place never filled up to the max. The house band was really good. 4 veterans that sounded tight. Whatever that means. Lisa our waitress was friendly and efficient. We drank and chilled. Small and intimate place with food and drinks. Show starts at 9. Enjoy

Ok I am not much of a Blues/Jazz person, we enjoyed the music and the atmosphere. The audience is usually above ages 35-40 and very into the music. The place is filled with regulars, feels very authentic Southern. I simply liked it.

Ask the Community - Blind Willie's

What days of the week have live music?

    Wednesday-Sunday

Is there a cover charge or a minimum food/drink spend per table?

Yes there was a cover when I was there. I think always as that is how they pay the bands.

How does seating work? Is it first come first serve?

Seating is first come, first served. Doors typically open an hour and a half to two and a half hours before the live music starts. Come early to pick your favorite seats and start with dinner and drinks before the show.

Is it 21 and over? Or can 18 year olds get in?

Blind Willie's is a 21+ venue. We have beer, wine and a full bar along with the live music, so the club is 21 and over.

The food was tasty but nothing special, more like a solid homemade sandwich with your favorite mayo. It's good and satisfying, just not unforgettable. I had the Seafood and Sausage Gumbo and a half Po' Boy called Bo Kho, and while both were enjoyable, they're items I could easily make at home. I'd go again if invited but probably wouldn't make a special trip. If you're curious, it's worth checking out for yourself. My favorite dish was definitely the jambalaya. The jambalaya was great for tasting all the meats. The Mac n cheese was so cheesy and fresh. My favorite meat however was definitely the sausage, however all the plates had some version with sausage. The employees were so kind and helpful and had great southern hospitality. The food was made fresh and took less than 10 minutes to make. If I'm ever back in the Atlanta area, I will be coming here again. Also great location in terms of downtown. So I'm all about New Orleans food so I had to give it a shot. Cafe Bourbon Street is a food truck…read moreso it's not a standard brick and mortar (at this location) so just keep that in mind. If you are going to try to go, make sure you download the app so that you can order your food and get it in a timely fashion. They run it as first come first serve so it gives you a better chance to get in and out as soon as possible. Service was good, I don't have any complaints. You're waiting around but everybody's nice and friendly who's taking your order. I ordered the food while I was on the freeway and by the time I got there it was just getting done and bagged so that worked out really well. Again, I would 101% suggest you download the app instead of getting it and waiting around. When I was there to work a lot of people there but I know that there could be quite a bit of people there giving the fact that I read some reviews on it. So you want to go ahead and make sure you do your due diligence. I went with the Cajun fried shrimp and the jambalaya egg roll. The Cajun fried shrimp was good, it could have used more seasoning but I understand that you want to make sure that you don't inundate somebody with seasonings because they may not like it and once you put it on you can't take it off. But if you're coming for New Orleans food, I want to hear and feel and taste that spice! But the shrimp was good. I actually did dip it in some cocktail sauce when I got home, just to help it alone but I would get it again though honestly. I don't really do beignets but I had to try it just because why not lol. If you like them, you will be satisfied I assume. They come with maybe three of them or so, Dusted and all the powdered sugar that looks like snowfall lol. They also have shrimp that is sauced in a sweet and spicy sauce kind of situation and now it's actually really good as well. These sauced up shrimp came dripping with sauce and had green onion garnished on them as well. Really good. I didn't need anything extra for them, like the casa sauce I use for the regular fried shrimp. Solid attempt! Next time I would probably consider getting that instead of the regular but I want to see what the regular tasted like first and foremost before I bitch it off into sauces! Now I've saved this for the last part of review, the jambalaya egg roll. This joint was a hit! It came in too long egg rolls couldn't have and it was drizzled in some beautiful spicy sauce. That situation right there was a winner! That could have been the meal and I would have been happy lol. Well I would have wanted more but you get the point lol! You can make out large rings of sausage, rice, everything you would find in jambalaya. That joint was bussin with flavor, that I didn't know I needed until that moment in time. When I go back, most likely so. The guy who was at the front of the truck was super nice and super friendly and very inviting. I would definitely like to go back for more. Now just as a precaution, it is a food truck so unless you eat it there some of the things may not hold up in the car ride home depending on how long it takes. For example the French fries were nothing special and I think that they suffered because of all the steam made them soggy. Now I will say there are people out in the parking lot in in the area of the food truck who didn't even wait to get home, they just start smashing the food in the car and at the seat they were sitting at. I understand why because it's going to be hot and fresh right off the gate! Either way, just want to let you know that consideration because fried food doesn't always hold up when it's putting a steam box so keep that in mind. But either way it goes, this was a win.

When I saw they now offer an oyster night on Wednesdays, I decided to give it a try. As a South Louisiana girlie, hearing zydeco music playing as I walked up instantly set the tone. It added a touch of home and fit perfectly with the Louisiana aesthetic they are going for. It was a welcoming start. I have visited before and was previously let down by their Boulevard location, so I walked in hopeful but realistic. The oysters were a dozen for fifteen dollars, which is a great price. Once they arrived, I understood the cost. The seasoning and flavor were truly good, but the oysters themselves were extremely small and a bit tough. The meat was tiny and often stuck to the adductor muscle, which took away from the experience. I also ordered a side of corn. Unfortunately, it was a zero out of ten for me. The cobs had no flavor and were served with only a bit of fake butter and crab boil pooling at the bottom of the plate. I did not finish them. On a brighter note, I tried the Zulu Punch from the happy hour menu. For five dollars, it was a solid drink and definitely worth the price. I will probably return because there are menu items I do enjoy. I just know that the next time I come here specifically for oysters, I will need to lower my expectations.
