    Sad salad. :(

The pizza is fine and the service often includes a typical Gen Z stare. I don't know why there's vague "whatever" attitude every time I come in, but my biggest gripe is to do with the quality of the salads. They are sparse, full of oxidized lettuce, overpriced, and most recently, included a literal balsamic glaze, the same as what goes on the pizza, accompanying an inedible Greek salad. Said salad was stacked on top of hot pizza boxes, so add wilted to what characterized the experience. There is no clear phone number to call to inform about the experience, no contact form on the website, which is why I'm leaving a review here.

We had been driving for a couple of hours and needed to eat. Didn't really feel like going anywhere fancy, so maybe just a sandwich. We had just stopped at Target, and as we were leaving, I saw Blaze. I had never heard of it so I figured, why not? Plus that had outdoor seating. Friendly greeting, told him it was my first time, and he said "well, choose what you'd like and we'll get it to you." So I ordered a pizza with pepperoni. I didn't realize how they worked until I read about them later. They had soft drinks, beer, and wine in these cute little plastic cups, so I grabbed two of them. The pizza was ready pretty quick, and I read about their "blazing hot" oven, so that's pretty cool. The pizza was good. A few more pepperonis would've been nice, but the sauce was good, and the crust was decent. The wine was decent and hit the spot. We needed something to take off the edge since we'd been traveling and getting on each other's nerves...and hangry. My only complaint was that the outside chairs and tables could use a dust off. Definitely worth checking out. And Cako Approves!

Quick and super fast service , the staff were nice and accommodating of our requests with the food . The place was clean and well ventilated and maintained pretty well . We ordered a Herbivore , half a cheese pizza and garlic bread . All of them tasted super delicious.

Service is okay, could definitely be better. I just like that I can stand their and make my own pizza. Great choice of sauces, cheeses, and toppings. If you like crispy, thin crust, then this is your type of pizza but the husband can't stand it, he likes more traditional, soft crust, thick pizza.

Luis M. had 10/10 customer service best pizza I've had here so far everything I asked for was done without complaint or attitude and he was very polite and gave a great experience to the customers he went above and beyond to make sure the indecisive customer got everything she wanted on her pizza

Customer service was amazing!!! Especially Luis!! Thanks for explaining it was my first time here

The ice machine has been out of order for over a month. They "might" have it fixed by March 14th (over a month away) but they're not sure. We placed an online order during lunch time. Only one person is working. We had to wait until no one else was in line before they would start our order. Even after more people kept coming in. Then the order was wrong and burnt.

So, they get five stars from me for the category that they fit within- not artisanal, not fancy, not Neapolitan- but delicious, kind to your wallet, fast, and the owners and staff are friendly and helpful. They are good to the Templeton community. We like the wings, pesto chicken pizza, and pepperoni pizza especially. We tend to make our own salads at home when ordering pizzas, so I can't speak to those. The chicken bake thing is cheesy and excellent and $8. My husband and I can split just that and a thing of wings, happily. We've never been disappointed by an order, many experiences in, and it's our go-to "emergency dinner lever" or "pizza craving option" to pull these days given that it close in proximity for us to pick up (we've never done delivery). Their family meals are a great deal, if you're feeding a crowd or want leftovers. And they are reliable in speed and service. We enjoy them and patronize them far more often than we ever did their location's previous tenants!

6 Star Alert. 6 star Alert. 6 star Alert. 6 star Alert…read more SIX STAR ALERT. SIX STAR ALERT. That right people, I said it.... And 6 times to be exact! Because let me tell you, the Spice of Life in Downtown Paso Robles not only deserves those 6 stars, but they truly EARNED each & every star (plus a bonus star) that I am awarding them for their exceptional hospitality. Now, let me tell you why! While in Paso for my wife's weekend birthday getaway, we had such fun time casually strolling the streets with no where to be. While window shopping, going in and out of the various shops, and just meandering through the downtown area.... We suddenly came across a little business called: The Spice of Life From the outside, it was pretty obvious what we were about to get into... ----Spices----Herbs----Teas---- Hey, they had me at Spices, but the rest is what kept me from leaving there anytime soon. Upon entering this quaint little shop, we were immediately immersed into a world that I Love. Spices, Spices and more Spices!!! Yeah, I'm that guy that at home, not in public of course, that will put a little spice on my hand and lick it off (to test it of course). I know, but I'm just a spice freak, what can I say! Yeah, give me a good lemon pepper, a blended steak seasoning or even a Kansas City Bbq Rub and I'll gladly give it the "Lance Lick of Approval". Yeah, I'm a Spice Man, & I'm not afraid to admit it. And let me tell you, this place has got spices!! Yeah, there are Jars and Jars, & more Jars of the finest, most incredible spices you can dream of. But on Top of the Spices... There are Oils, Vinegars, Teas, Tea Accessories, Herbal Supplements, Books, and More! And with all that shopping... Why not grab a quick bite alongside a freshly brewed coffee or tea at their mini cafe right on the premises. Heck, we did! (We had the Vanilla Chai Tea Latte) And it was Fire! So what makes this place earn a well deserved 6 star review?? It wasn't just their great product. Or even their beautifully prepared drink. It was their hospitality, their graciousness, and the human connection that we felt that went above the typical customer vs. retailer interaction. The lady who assisted us (forgive me but I forget her name) but she might have been maybe the owner or maybe even manager of the place was so kind, helpful and made our experience exceptional, so thank you for that! With so many great gift ideas and things that we needed for our own household, you know we did some damage and got a few things to take back home. So.... If you are a fan of spices like me, love yourself some tea, are looking for some unique, fun gift ideas or just want to enjoy a nice, quaint shop where the service hopefully exceeds your expectations like it did for me... Then take my highly recommended suggestion and get over to the... Spice of Life in Downtown Paso Robles ASAP!!!

I noticed that the restaurant closed at 4. And we got there to order our food to go at 3:10. I wasn't going to be that person who sat down and made the servers wait for us to leave. We go upfront, and there was an older woman who was on the phone taking an order, looked at us and continued with the phone call. She sounded like she may had been struggling with getting the order placed and figuring out the systems. We waited, no problem. Then I believe one of the other hostess or possibly the bartender came to take our order, had great recommendations, took my info and told us 10-15. Perfect. We then come back, and now the lady who was on the phone, messed up someone's order and didn't give him his change back and was struggling again. Then asked us "what we are here for" and "is this for catering or what". We said we placed the order in the restaurant, and told her my name. She then can't understand who took our order and how they placed it and it would've been nice to know that we didn't call but that we had placed in person.... Again... she looked at us before. As she gives us our bag of food, she blaming us for not telling her we placed the order in person. I would've liked to go back the next day because the food was good but I seriously didn't have the patience to deal with her attitude. The other servers were sweet. Besides her, the food was absolutely delicious. I would HIGHLY recommend the Mighty Cap Mushroom pasta. It was very creamy & had the right amount of mushrooms. My sister tried the Cacio de Pepe and it was very delicious and if you like pepper, that's your pasta! We also tried the eggplant parm and the portion was small but worth it for getting to try it. It was very tasty! Last taste was the beef bolognese. Sooo goood. The food spoke for itself. Delicious.

Anyway, it was nice and cozy inside, with counter to grab seafood or order some food. Inside had maybe 4 or so tables, while outside had many more. First went outside after ordering, but it was quite windy chilly so went back inside:) Had checked out the menu ahead of time, so ordering was easy. Tall young man was super friendly. Even brought out the food to the table when ready. - Fish n Chips = was so crispy and fresh, absolutely delicious and kid ate it up. plenty of fries too that we all could share - Fish tacos = got one grilled, one fried. Of course fried tastes better, but grilled was great as well. Covered in cabbage and special sauce. The sauce was excellent and addictive, easily defeated all the cabbage. And the fresh fish pieces in these were huge/thick, just awesome. The salsa that came on the side I guess is for the tortilla chips, since the taco had that special sauce on it, so no need salsa on it to detract from the special sauce. The tortilla chips seemed to be fresh cut and fried in house, was so crunchy good, especially when get a chip with a bit of salt on it. - Salmon salad = this was fantastic as well. Generous salmon pieces and the balsamic glaze was perfect with salmon and salad. I guess 2 of the salmon pieces were the skin, which was the best part! Such a delicous way to get your omega 3!!! With so many places to try, sadly only got to eat here once, but it was up there as a memorable meal, A+! And allows for you to walk off your fullness at TJ afterward, just perfect.

Maybe it is because we are watching "Yellowstone" on TV, but I was craving the flavor of the Old West, which can still be found in many places around SLO. We returned to Pig Iron Restaurant in Templeton, where we had dined about three years ago when they very first opened up! it was kind of bare and spacious our first time there. It was great to see how they have added to the space and now have room for multiple functions! There's a huge outdoor dining patio with a coffee pick up bar. There's a an indoor dining area where you order your food at a counter. There's also the Club Car Bar with its own separate room. I remembered that Pig Iron sando was good. My husband ordered the Pig Iron. I went for two smoked chicken, Cowboy Tacos, and our friend got a burger. We topped it all off with onion rings. It's the kind of place that you order at a counter in the Merchandise room, then take a buzzer to your table. We commandeered a large booth in the fairly small dining room. It has maybe eight or 10 tables. There is are a couple lounge chairs by the fireplace, which is very cozy on a cool day. By the time our food was ready, the dining room was full. That Pig Iron pulled pork sando is worth the trip! The meat is super tender, and the sauce is piquant and not too spicy. Topped with cole slaw, it is a perfect lunchtime meal. Burger was also nicely done kind of a smashed burger. The tacos were aptly named Cowboy Tacos, as I felt that they were gringo tacos. They were bland, since they didn't have sauce on them and the chicken was in tiny chunks and not shredded. The onion rings were crispy and fun to dunk in the Ranch dressing. We hunkered down cowboy style and enjoyed our meal, talking about about outer space and the moon trip while enjoying our food in the cozy ambience of an evocative historic setting!
