Although I absolutely LOVE Blaze pizza, I wasn't too crazy about this location. The restaurant itself was very clean and it is in a great location within Clark plaza. There is always parking around and this place stays crowded, so I figured I would give it a try. I came here around 8:30-9pm to order a"build your own pizza". The guy that was making my pizza was extremely "cold", seemed like he didn't wanna be there, was rushing me to complete my order- no sort of CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE what so ever! I wish I would've got his name so I could've put it in my review. The other staff members were cool, but he just came off like he did not want to be there AT ALL. I asked him to put pesto garlic sauce around the crust of my pizza, and he pretty much just put literally a "dab" around the crust, to the point I couldn't even taste it when the pizza was done. Overall, although it's a great location, I won't be coming back. It was literally a waste of calories since the pizza was somewhat bland. Maybe if the customer service aspect was better than I would give it another chance, however that was pretty much a deal breaker for me. read more

Review update!!!! Hellllloooo????, where is the manager for this place? Walked in, not acknowledged, not greeted, not even looked at. Staff arguing and not working together. Guy in front of us in line was having a hard time getting staff to make his pie correctly. We waited about 10 mins without interaction , realized it was going to be a bad experience and left. Walked over to Panda and got the VIP customer experience and a good lunch. My original review is below for reference. I call it like I see it. This place needs leadership training as well as staff training. It's a shame because I enjoy their pizza but I will not spend my money in a place that has terrible service!! Original review below: Always excellent food and service. Tried the "Take 2" today for the first time and it was great. You get 1/2 if a "build your own" pizza and a "starter salad" for the same price as a whole build your own pie. I tried the Greek salad and it was very good. Cold, fresh and they even added extra kalamata olives upon request. Portion size was "just right" and you get your "healthy greens"! Definitely a good deal! My second visit to a Blaze in the past 6 months and just as good an experience as the first one. My first time was at the Wayne location for a Yelp Elite event, so I thought the awesome service was just a play by the staff wanting to impress Elites in exchange for good reviews. However, my recent visit to the Clark location resulted in the same friendly and attentive service as before. Staff's creation of each customized pizza is quick and flawless, and they do a good job explaining the menu for those who are new to the Blaze process. One of my favorite things about their business model is the 'one price fits all' for any Build Your Own pie. Unlimited toppings all for under $10 and a personalized pie you can probably take down in one sitting if you're a good eater :) read more

Absolutely a scam if you order from them for delivery. They use Doordash for delivery and the drivers and workers at this location will cancel your order and then pocket the money from the order. They know most people will not call their credit card company to dispute the charge so that they can steal your money. Such a shame since the pizza is great but do NOT order delivery from this location. I'm surprised that the BBB or police haven't shut them down. read more

I'm so happy to have a Blazed pizza located in Central Jersey! Who doesn't love pizza?! Since when pizza can be healthy?! Their fired grilled pizzas are delicious. If you have dietary issues, they also have gluten free pizza dough (for extra fee of course). First, as you walk in, your greeted, "welcome to blaze!" And you make the line and give them your name and the type of pizza you want to order (preselected ingredients if you choose their pizza menu or build your own). I always choose build your own. My daughter and I shared a pie. She likes pepperoni pizza and I like veggie pizza. You tell them what topping you want on your pizza and where if you choose to share it like we did. The service was great and don't be shy to ask for more toppings if you want it. Hey, ask and you shall receive, right?! I love how the toppings are all fresh and healthy. Blaze Pizza is one of those new spots in the Clark Commons Center. With so many great pizza spots around there really isn't a reason to come to Blaze unless they're running a promotion or you really love these pizzas. The big selling point here is that you can do a build your own pizza where you have unlimited amount of toppings. I can see this being fun for families who have people with different tastes. 1 pie is a lot for one person you can easily split a pie and I can imagine that you can ask them to put a topping on just half of the pizza. All of the ingredients are pretty fresh but the crust is very very thin. All of their desserts look really good too it's the only one I've had is the s'mores cookie, it's pretty great. The parking lot at the commons gets crowded because there are so many stores there. The store itself isn't huge but there are always seats available to dine in. Looks like most people take the pizza to go. Most of the employees are really happy and seem to enjoy their job, which is always nice to see. Young kids here and they all seem to work hard. I was a little annoyed yesterday when asking for a cup for water. The girl at the counter told me that they didn't have any left so I would have to buy the regular cup size to get water. I told her that was ridiculous how was I supposed to eat with no water so she brought the manager over and magically the water cups appeared. Cheap, fast and easy vegan pizza? Blaze is the place! I absolutely love this place because this idea is newly introduced to these fast and personal pizzas! The fact that they have vegan is even better! As for the pizza, it tastes GREAT! I always get the simple pie as it is the classic and cheapest. The cheese to sauce ratio is pretty good although usually not consistent, but no biggie you can ask for less or more! The taste is great all the way through and your pizza is finished in a timely manner. I also love their choice of drinks, the fruit infused water is my favorite! I always get this every time I go, I cannot eat blaze pizza without it! In my opinion the Strawberry one is the best!! The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because of the inconsistency of cooking and taste. Sometimes it is over-cooked and the vegan cheese is crunchy without any moisture. Sometimes it just does not taste right, not sure why but it's not always the same, however more often than not it's perfect! The staff is very friendly, always greeting you in the door as you enter. Loooooove this place! We are here at least once a month. They make awesome fast fired in an oven type pizzas. You can choose from 3 types of dough: original, high rise, or gluten free. I have had all of them, and they're all delicious! Their pizzas are surprisingly very light tasting, and not really oily. They are personal size pizzas, but you can share them with one other person (although I wouldn't recommend this because you can also easily eat one all by yourself!). The staff is always very nice, and they are fast. It's kind of like a factory line, where each staff member does one part of the pizza building. I love Blaze Pizza. I think the concept of having classics like pizza built and assembled in front of you to your liking is such a smart idea. I've never created my own pie but I've had a few of their signatures but more recently have been ordering their Veg Out and Art Lover pies now that my boyfriend and I have become pescatarians. The staff has always been super friendly, asking me if I'm ok with the process as they go along with it. I noticed past reviews from other yelpers who haven't had good customer service experiences with this location but I went twice in the same week and had basically the same staff with great experiences each time. One suggestion I have is that I think customers should be encouraged more to sit and wait for their pies rather than stand around the finishing window especially if there are pies in the oven before them. It's not that it's unclear but I think the staff person checking out could instruct it to the customers a little louder because during one of my visits, I faintly heard him say it. I just knew to sit since I have come to Blaze Pizza before. Otherwise, this location is clean and always has plenty of seating (even after a busy holiday). I have been going to Blaze Pizza in Wayne since it opened. Was always my favorite. Was happy to see one here in Clark. It was TERRIBLE!! The counter was filthy, the food had cross over contamination, which for me who has bad allergies is scary. My gluten free pizza was rushed out of the oven because they had so many orders and was picked up by the worker with bare hands and put on the plate, which causes all the toppings to slide to the middle!
