Girls' night after work led us to Doughboy Johnny's, and as a first-timer walking in, I genuinely had no idea what to expect. Spoiler: I left very happy (and with leftovers). Let's start with the only real challenge of the night: parking. Between regular White Plains parking adventures and the winter snow situation, it took a little patience. But once we got inside, the night immediately got better. The vibe is college-bar casual, but without the trashiness that sometimes comes with that territory. It's lively but still comfortable enough to actually enjoy a conversation. One thing I loved right away, there are games by the front entrance that you can grab and bring to your table. Drinks + games = instant girls' night upgrade. We were seated in the center near the kitchen, which actually gave us a great view of the whole place. Our drinks were really good, though if the bartender's hand had slipped just a tiny bit more on the pour, I wouldn't have complained. Still solid, still enjoyable. Now the food. Holy moly. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. And the portions? I'm not sure if they thought we were feeding an entire soccer team, but honestly... I support the ambition. I don't think I've ever seen mozzarella sticks that size before. I love leftovers and this place clearly believes in sending you home with some. Another thing I appreciated was seeing a whole section of vegan options on the menu. I didn't try them this time, but I love when a restaurant makes it easy for different diets to find something without turning ordering into a complicated group project. Between the fun atmosphere, great food, and generous portions, this was a great first experience. Hubby and I took the fam here this past weekend and everything was just as good as before. Our daughter ordered the Vegan burger with stuffed mushrooms and our son the flatbread pepperoni pizza (happy hour special). My best friend and I came here on a Sunday to to try this place for the first time for lunch and when we walked in we were shocked to see how many people were inside. There was a live DJ playing and the vibes were just immaculate. We even noticed that they have board games that you can grab to play while dining. We were shocked to see that they have happy hour all day on Sunday! I got a coconut mojito which was perfect and my friend loved her classic marg. We both split the Elote flat bread and the mar y Tierra pizza after our waiter highly recommended it. The elote flatbread was my absolute favoriteeee it was soo delicious! Went for a day drink with a friend and we were pretty pleased. It was rainy so we stayed inside. Restaurant was clean (including bathrooms). I didn't understand what the theme of the restaurant was supposed to be but it wasn't unpleasant or anything. Service was solid and friendly. The margs were spot on. The menu available on the website was NOT the same as provided in person. Just a note. Still plenty of a selection to be had. Apps: My vegan friend had the cauliflower bites and even as a meat-eater they were solid. I had the mozzarella sticks which were really good. Marinara had the right tang. Entrees: I ordered the chicken parm sliders and they were a smidge salty but I'd order again. They were yummy! Came here on a friday night around 8pm. I made a reservation but it wasnt needed. I found prking across the street but it can be difficult. Upon entering, it was a small trendy decorated place. I wasnt packed. They had a dj playing. The dj was very good. He played a variety of music and was very good with his transitions into different genre's of music. Me and my sister ordered the spicy pepperoni pizza, fries, and Nashville hot sliders. I also got a virgin passion fruit mojito and the pineapple refresher. For dessert, we got the fried Oreos and churros. Spicy pepperoni pizza= 6.5/10 Nashville hot sliders= 9/10 Fries= 9.5/10 Fried Oreos= 8/10 Churros= 9/10 Virgin passion fruit mojito= 10/10 Pineapple refresher= 7/10 My only suggestions are to make the pizza more crispy. The bottom was soggy and I had to eat it with a knife and fork. Second, the ice cream had no flavor. It tasted like whip cream. No vanilla flavor or nothing. And the bathroom toilet needs to be replaced, as the toilet handle is falling off. All in all, this will be my new local hangout spot. I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant when we walked in - there was an old arcade game, graffitied walls, custom artwork. It had the vibe of a place you might want to have some drinks in. We ate inside but there is also a patio with plenty of outdoor seating. Our server was not the friendliest or the most attentive. When I tried to ask for a recommendation on the chicken parmigiana sliders her annoyed response was "it's a chicken cutlet!" I repeated to her that what I was trying to find out was whether it was seasoned or just chicken with sauce. She was clearly annoyed as she told me that it was seasoned. I asked about a soda and the only products were RC! I will give her props that she told me they also had flavored San Pellegrino and ran to get a can to show me what they had without me asking or indicating interest. We ended up ordering the calamari, the margherita pizza and the chicken parm sliders. I would steer clear of the calamari here. When they sat the calamari down it reeked of oil to the point where it was turning my stomach and I told my hubby I felt like my face was over a fryer. I've never experienced that before. They were overcooked and under seasoned. It was the first time we didn't finish calamari. We did like their marinara dipping sauce. The chicken parm sliders were definitely passable. The pizza is where you should focus your attention here and is what saved this restaurant from a lower score. It is delicious with a wonderful dough and great sauce. read more

There is a cute outdoor area located off the main door. We were seated at the picnic style tables. The ambiance is light / casual. There was a DJ. We were offered a hookah. I can't say I loved my food. I'm a pizza lover, but the sauce isn't my favorite. It had texture to it and was mildly spicy (which I liked). The same sauce was used for the pasta. I am vegan and love they have lots of options. However, if you are going to offer a vegan menu you need a plan to ensure the food is correct. People order vegan food for various reasons including allergies. At Johnny Tequilas I ordered a tofu taco and was giving ground beef which I didn't know until I bit into it. Then they brought me a mushroom taco--ick. Finally got my order. They did comp the dish. Tonight, we went to Humble and my order of flatbread had regular cheese which I didn't realize until I ate a whole piece. They said the cook forgot. You can't do that if offer menus for people who might be ordering due to an allergy or food restriction. No comp tonight either or even a discount. I almost cried when I ate the beef taco. Again, I love and respect what they are trying to do here. Tasty vegan food is important and needed but a system has to be put into place to avoid this. read more

We made reservations ahead of time since it was for a Saturday afternoon and were seated right away. When we first arrived, we love the open space and the music. The adults ordered the mar y terria, Hawaiian pizza, vodka chorizo and meat lovers for pizza and for the pasta we had the alfredo and ricotta stuffed pasta in a pesto sauce. Everything was delicious. We had a bit of a wait which was expected but we hung out at the bar and all staff from the owner to the bartender made sure we were ok and updated us on the status of our table.
