Came here on a Monday night which is 50% they were packed. Only had wine and fries but the place looks like a vibe and the servers were great. Would come again for sure.

I would definitely recommend the rental space for private events. It is spacious, great lighting and sound systems. The bathroom doesn't smell and the bartenders were generous.

The food here is absolutely unbelievable and the service is always courteous and prompt. Such a great place to unwind, eat a good meal and take in a ball game.

Central Park is a must for Football Sundays as there are tons of tv's to watch every team. The atmosphere is definitely a mix of a younger crowd and older crowd, but everyone is having fun. Their Sliders aren't the usual three mini sliders, but two medium sized sandwiches. Unfortunately, they don't come with fries so you have to order separately but it's worth it. The waiters and waitresses are also all super friendly.

I have been to this spot many times but this is my first review. When I arrived I parked in their private lot and walked in. We were greeted by the host and she sat us down. The place was very socially distanced between the tables which I appreciated. We were served by Amanda and she was super friendly and bubbly. I ordered the red sangria and she made it nice for me and my friend ordered the mojito which she liked. She also ordered some waffle fries as well. We were talking for a while and realized the waffle fries never came out and the waitress seemed to have forgotten. Luckily I knew someone who worked there because he said they were sitting in the window getting cold and had to throw them out. So they made my friend a fresh batch and it was hot and tasty. The waitress apologized and gave some kind of an excuse which we didn't buy. My friend paid because my bday was coming up so I have no clue the damage. All in all we had just an ok experience.

Walked away from here surprisingly impressed with their sushi. On a Friday evening about 9:00pm as we walked in we were asked to show ID then given the option to where we wanted to sit. The waiter was friendly and quick as he brought out our drinks and food in a timely manner. Not sure if their table service finishes by a certain time but our bill was brought out without asking for it. I definitely recommend arriving early. We had a couple meet us about 10pm. Upon their arrival they were able to purchase drinks at the bar and bring them to our table. Only downfall with them entering was the fact that the guy was told he couldn't enter with a hat. Yet, there was a handful of individuals wearing hats. When questioned why they were allowed to wear hats and not him, the response was that they were either a fire fighter or in the police force. Little did they know what our guy friend does for a living. Therefore, dress code should be enforced all around. For those who come here first before going to the club next door, I recommend going to the club to check in and get stamped to avoid the hassle of waiting in a long line and/or to get a discounted rate. All in all, this place converts into what seemed like a sports lounge with a live DJ. Great sushi, good music, nice crowd and friendly servers.

Ask the Community - Central Park

Do they have hookah every night?

One of my friends are 20 and we want to know the age limit here, 18+ or 21+?

On the Central Park side, depending on the night, you can enter between 10-11 at 18 years old. Some nights are more strict than others but I used to do this before I turned of age.

Is this a bar or a club? Want to take my NYC friends out and looking for a place to do a little of eating and dancing.

It's both

While the service was super fast, I wasn't blown away with the jerk chicken platter.

Before my event, the owner, David, made several promises about what was included, but later tried to charge me extra for many of those same things--claiming he had bills to pay and even showing me his water bill. Because the hall is quite large, I needed additional time to decorate and make the event special, but even that became an issue. During the event itself, we repeatedly had to ask staff for basic supplies like toilet tissue and working light bulbs in the restroom--things that should have been checked and stocked beforehand. Overall, the space is beautiful and spacious, but the management and organization left a lot to be desired.

Plus the broth was thick, probably due to the infusion of carrots, green peas and all the seasonings. I ate the soup with a Portuguese roll, which brought out the flavor the soup. The pint of Stella Artois, at a cost of $4.50, also enhanced the soup's flavor. The patrons were enjoying their food, especially the empanadas. So I ordered one (beef), which was tasty and fresh. My lunch was $10.33, which I paid in cash because credit card users are charged a convenience fee of 3.99% (see a photo of the note that I posted. If ever again I am in the neighborhood, I will certainly visit Nuno's.

The servers, table seating are hit or miss like everywhere else. But the bar service has always been top notch. Over the years Nick has been my bartender/server. He is prompt and very knowledgeable, and personable. Tonight we chatted and I found out he worked at the Fanwood location. I recall being in my early 20s when it closed down. Really enjoy the ambience of the Sun Tavern. My best friend (living in New Brunswick) and myself (few towns over) often kick our selves forgetting about our favorite hidden gem at the Tavern, when we end up elsewhere displeased or broke (lol) . The Outdoor patio seating is our fave during warm weather but even on weekday nights the bar is always a comfortable option for us or when I go alone. I'm 35 and an old soul but I personally appreciate the music style but u can also pay to play your own songs too. The bar pies are a great size and absolutely delicious. I'm a picky eater but the cheese steak, curly fries and Taylor ham sandwich are my favorites. Great selection of Tab and drinks as well! Well worth the drive for even a quick drink!

Ill say that at first I didn't care for the kids that work here just walking around aimlessly but I can see that they are hard at work making sure everything is clean and drunks are full and what not. Ok now the food. When my calamari came out I thought to myself oh no. So thick you'd think they were tough and rubbery but im happy to say they were melt in your mouth tender. I could not believe it. My wife mentioned that her french onion soup was a bit tangy but ok. The old world pie.....very garlicy without being overwhelming and just enough dabs of sauce. Imagine a garlicy margherita pizza. So good and light. I do not recommend the spinach dip. Way too much cream cheese and so blah.
