I kept passing by Central Park on St. Georges and had heard of friends going there for drinks/to watch games, so I decided to buy a restaurant.com coupon and try it out. I went with my boyfriend on a Friday night for dinner. I thought the interior was very trendy- a really nice place considering the rest of the area doesn't offer much. As a new vegetarian, I didn't find much to eat on the menu (not a huge sushi fan) so I ordered the pasta primavera. The garlic wine sauce on the pasta was flavorless, and the waitress was nice enough to bring me a side of another sauce when I asked for it. My boyfriend ordered a burger, which he loved. I liked the extra touch of branding the burger bun with "CP". I'd come back here with the girls for some drinks/appetizers. Dinner, not so much. I never actually review places so the fact that I am taking my time to impart my experience unto the unknowing public is a statement in and of itself. I went there last night to celebrate my birthday. We ordered shots of tequila (which were charged as Patrón shots even though we did not specify it as such), and a myriad of other drinks. The flower martini was good; I recommend it. And then came time to pay the bill. $400 for "Patrón" shots. And because we were a large group, gratuity was included, which is customary and understandable. What is inexcusable is the behavior of Danny, the waiter, for whom the $60 gratuity wasn't enough. While the service was super fast, I wasn't blown away with the jerk chicken platter. Don't get me wrong, the chicken wasn't tough, dry or tasteless, it simply wasn't seasoned at spice level I normally would like it to be. More importantly, the jerk chicken was not done on the grill. It was done in the oven. Too bad, because I would've been back over and over again for the char flavor. The rice and peas missed the fragrant use of thyme and coconut milk. Dry. The cole slaw was cooked, under seasoned and not fresh. Bland. Another gripe I had was no credit cards. Supposedly, the machine was broken. I don't buy it. As a sports fan you gotta love this place. They have a ton of TVs, I mean there's no place in the this bar where you can't see your preferred game (giants of course). Most importantly the beer is legit the coldest, ever! period! When i asked how, how can such a bar that sells so many beer accomplish such a feet, the bartender relpied and gave me some insight. Their hoses are refridge! Also cost only 2$! Can't beat that with any stick. Sushi and the traditional bar food is good, but the rest of their good is mediocre. But I usually don't come for the food, except wings or sushi. Especially Monday night 1/2 off everything nights. At night this place turns into a club and it gets PACKED. Bartenders here serve people well after they are past their limit. I've been here many times and not ever have I seen anyone cut off. You could walk out of here stumbling and no one will even stop you, as we have seen in recent events. It doesn't matter what the sign says or that there are police out there... Food... It's okay. Out of all the local bars close by, this one is definitely my favorite. They serve food in the day, and at night they have different events depending on what day you go. They have trivia nights one day in the week. Then Saturday and Sunday they have have a DJ with music. The music varies widely, so it's pretty hit or miss, but usually I'm not disappointed. I totally recommend getting to Central Park before 11, because then you can get into Mister East for free, and so you can go to both sides of the business. read more

I come here all the time because I live right down the block. Their happy hour is awesome, the staff is always friendly and their food is pretty good. I've never ordered any of the entrees but you absolutely cannot go wrong with any of their appetizers. Also, their bar pies are to die for in my opinion. Stopped in yesterday for lunch with my father. I was recommended there by another local business (car dealer across the street). We both ordered the CP Butcher Burger. I ordered mine medium well, and my dad ordered medium. Both burgers came out as ordered, and the accompanying fries were INCREDIBLE. I see a lot of mixed reviews for this place so I was a bit skeptical about purchasing a deal from Livingsocial but since my husband goes there for Sunday Football games and he likes it, I figured the dinner experience should not be so bad. So I took 2 of my friends for dinner last night (Fri night), it was not crowded when we first arrived around 8ish but you can tell the place gets bumping as it gets later. I had purchased a deal that included 2 apps, 2 entrees and a pitcher of sangria. I asked the waitress if it was okay for me to pay the difference of the 3rd person. She said no problem. We started off with coconut shrimp (which was wrapped in crispy noodles, unique but oh so tasty) and the boneless wings. both nice and hot and yummy. We all ordered the baby back ribs, salmon and steak between us 3. The baby back ribs literally fell off the bones were juicy and piping hot, the salmon was tasty and cooked perfectly and so was the steak. Our waitress was very nice and came back frequently to check in on us and the food was delicious and on top of that I had a great deal... I would definitely come back again to this place! The place can be fun at times. Depending on the games that are player and what time. Trying going when Giants have a 4pm or night game. It's super packed around those times. The food has no consistency. One week I tried the Philly cheese steak egg rolls and it was awesome but the very next week I had the same thing and it was cold. Too cold actually as if it was barley cooked or microwaved. The wings are nothing special but they do have a bacon barbecue sauce that I absolutely love. I came here last night to watch the Mayweather/ Berto fight. There was a cover charge at the door and As soon as we walked in the hostess shouted $5 for women and $10 for men, she could've at least said Hi. She was not very pleasant at all,And to be honest our server was not attentive, rude and dismissive. I understand the the sports bar was usually busy because of the fight but that's no excuse to slack on customer service. It was decent - the menu is a combo of American cuisine and the other half is sushi. Our table ordered the fried calamari apps and that was really good. So was the tuna pizza (think sushi pizza with the tuna) - the crust was crumbly so I was forced to eat mine with my fork and knife. it was pretty good - my favorite though is still the one at Sushi House in Bridgewater. I had the "Central Park" special roll - it was good. What bugged me about it is that there was apparently peppered tuna in it but I couldn't really appreciate the fact that it was peppered tune. Perhaps I just like it when it's sliced very thinly. The tea options though was only ordinary tea or decaf (no green tea) - I just got the ordinary one in Chamomile and it was Lacas. Three stars - Took forever to get service ... Seriously? As far as food and drinks are concerned, it's a bar, so drinks were plenty. I ordered the tacos off of the appetizer menu and they were pretty great and very filling. I was surprised with the amount of food that came on my plate. Came here Saturday night with some friends. We got here around 930 and the host asked if we were going to eat and wanted a table. We said sure. Awful awful awful service. Completely understaffed. Every table was taken because of the games that were on. We waited about 10 minutes and still no service. Asked the table next to us if they were served and they said nope been here about 20 minutes now. So I'm trying to get a servers attention or even the manager. The manager walked by 3 times! 3 times and looked at us and ignored us. Then I got the servers attention and he said he'd be over in a minute. Watched him serve 4 tables. Then the manager came and asked if we been helped? I said no and neither have they and they've been here a half hour now. the managers response was great I'll get someone for you. Another 5 minutes pass and the server finally comes. He asked if we were ready to order and told him to take care of the table next to us first. He responds they're being taken care of already. I said no they went to the bar to get drinks because they've been waiting a half hour. He came back over and we told him we were waiting for Mr East to open and heading over there we did not want food anymore. Absolutely awful experience. 1. The manager wasn't even sympathetic when she came over. 2. The server didn't even apologize. And I do not fully blame the server because they were short staff - or so it seemed. Everything people said would happen in the Yelp reviews was true. *Don't get attached to your seat: I had just bought a drink at one of the side bars and then a group of guys on staff came over and literally took the tall boy chairs our from underneath us. Their excuse was "to allow people easy access to walk up the the bar" --on a roughly 8ft long bar, there were only 4 chairs... plenty of space to get in between or I would shift over to give each person a path. Very rude. *Bar tenders were taking shots, a little wasted but did an OK job. *The DJ had a old dude on the microphone shouting things and talking about people in the crowd dancing, hopefully regulars who are ok with it? Love this place. Definitely my 1st place of choice. It's a newly remodeled sports bar with over 50 TVs. Especially great during football season. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The food is upscale bar food. Try to yardbird or the wings. Prices are resonavle. Now, at night it turns into a really fun dance party with good DJs. Central Park is a festive bar with an appealing interior design that is unfortunately dimmed by their food. I ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich along with the Mango Habanero Wings both were extremely distasteful I couldn't endure more than two bites of my Sandwich. Although the place was nice and the party was happening on Cinco De Mayo....very busy. There was three bar tenders in particular who seemed hell bent on ignoring and my beautiful GF (whose Birthday we were celebrating) at one of the bars. I'll get their names shortly because they are still dodging me. Apparently the cc system was down which would have been nice to know. Instead a curly haired bartender at the bar near the DJ took a look at me and decided it wasn't worth her time to tell me. The manager of CP was supremely nice and took the time to explain it to me. That's why I left this positive review. Unfortunately the other bartenders with the curly haired one decided to follow suite in ignoring me and mine, although my gf was eventually served...there is no reason it should take as long as it did...especially when they were so clearly not busy for at least 2 minutes and decided to ignore us that whole time.
