My recent experience at Blaze left much to be desired. While the ambiance may have aimed for sophistication, the reality fell short. The prices were exorbitant, far outweighing the value of the offerings. It felt as though the establishment was attempting to cultivate an air of pretentiousness without the substance to back it up. The quality of the food at Blaze was disappointing, considering the hefty price tag attached. It failed to deliver on flavor and innovation, leaving me underwhelmed and dissatisfied. In comparison to other eateries, even those tucked away in hidden corners, Blaze paled in comparison. My wallet took a hit as I forked over nearly $100 for a pizza, two drinks, and a plate of poutine. To add insult to injury, the drinks were lackluster, with a noticeable absence of the promised potency. It's baffling that such steep prices would yield such mediocre results. The use of duck fat for frying may have been touted as a unique selling point, but it did little to elevate the overall dining experience. Ultimately, the novelty fell flat when the food failed to impress. To compound matters, our waitress was incredibly unpleasant, rushing my girlfriend and me through our meal and effectively ruining what was meant to be a special date night. Her brusque demeanor and lack of attentiveness only served to exacerbate our dissatisfaction with the overall experience. In summary, Blaze proved to be a disappointment on multiple fronts. With its overpriced menu, lackluster drinks, underwhelming food quality, and poor service, it failed to justify its place in the culinary landscape. Save your money and seek out more satisfying dining options elsewhere. read more

A waste of time and money. My boyfriend and I went only because we had a gift card and figured we'd use it. I'll never step foot in that disgusting place again. First when you walk through the door their is this gross curtain blocking you that you need to push through to see the hostess. We were sat right beside the kitchen and end of the bar. We could over hear a cook and the bartender talking about their weekend, which was annoying. The menus were twice the size of the table which made it clunky when figuring out what to order. I felt like I was 10 again. The waitress was terrible and treated us like we were kids. The food is over priced. We paid $82 for 1 drink, 2 sodas, 1 order of poutine and two meals. The meals were undercooked and not worth our time. The gravy on the poutine was way to salty. The duck fat fries were frozen fries, fried in some sort of veggie oil. I know because the center of many of them were cold. My boyfriend got a steak, the silver skin was still over most of the steak which made it incredibly difficult to cut. You would think, $82 in they would be able to find good cuts of meat. I had a Ruben, the roast beef was not cut properly and served way to over cooked. I was disappointed and I won't be returning any time soon. read more

Recently moved to the area and had visited Blaze three times over the summer. I liked the expansive beer menu--it's why I first sought out the place. I would sit at the bar, try a couple, choose one, and have a second with food. In late September I visited, asked for a menu and ordered a taste of a particular ale. The bartender said it would cost seventy five cents. Really? I balked but ordered. She put a glass in front of me that must have had a literal tablespoon or "taste" of beer in it. I asked for the bill. Came to 81 cents (75 cents plus tax). I left a quarter tip and said I'd never be back. You're in the hospitality industry. It's standard to provide a taste or two, costs virtually nothing, and almost assures an order for one will come next. You can cut someone off if they abuse the courtesy. It felt incredibly rude. Unwelcoming and petty. You really blew it. Fortunately, there are other places in the area that know better. read more

Certainly! Here's a review based on A Delightful Dining Experience** I recently had the pleasure of dining at Blaze and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The highlight of the meal was the pork tenderloin, which was incredibly tender and bursting with flavor. It was cooked to perfection and simply melted in the mouth. Another standout dish was the red curry mussels. They were outstanding, with a rich and aromatic curry that perfectly complemented the fresh, succulent mussels. It's a dish I would highly recommend to any seafood lover. The service was equally impressive. Our server, Kindyll, was attentive, accommodating, and made sure that every aspect of our meal was taken care of. Their warm and professional demeanor added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. Overall, Blaze exceeded my expectations in both food and service. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. read more

I recently dined at Blaze and had a mixed experience. While the food was enjoyable and the location was convenient, the service left much to be desired. My French toast was tasty and the restaurant was clean and up to par in that aspect, but unfortunately, the experience was marred by lapses in service. I ordered a juice that never made it to our table, and throughout the meal, there was a noticeable lack of attention from the staff. They didn't check on us, making the dining experience feel somewhat neglected. Despite the delicious food, the service lapses affected the overall enjoyment of the meal. Hopefully, the restaurant can address these issues to provide a more consistent and satisfying experience for diners. read more

Blaze, is one of my favorite places in Maine. It's a privately owned and the quality is just a-blazing. I had Pemaquid Point Oysters, Allagash Ale, and my buddies had a wood coal fired pizza, and I had a seasoned/aged ribeye They cooked on a wood coal grill. I can't continue to talk because I don't often get to Maine and it kills me!!!!! Ya gotta go see! read more

At blaze they remember you. The bartender is my favorite part (Chris). He can practically read your mind and it's incredibly knowledgeable and personable. Big fan of the pizzas and the pork belly lolly pops. The fact that they are open late late for food on weekends is huge. Gorgeous space and lots of good energy. Highly, highly reccomend. read more

The is a problem with the manager here to. The guy stares and he abuses his staff. On my reason I yelped tonight is bc my friends get picked on by tool bag managers. The dude was drinking openly here. What's up with Maine and drinking managers?! Dave that's his name. Classic bully... read more

The worst mannerisms in hospitality I have ever experienced specifically the manager. Beware! I wouldn't recommend!
